This is the absolute WORST company, I don’t even know how they are in business. There is no communication what-so-ever. In order to get a hold of someone you have to call minimum 8 times and then you get someone saying “hello” as if you’re calling their cell phone. When I asked about an ETA or what state the driver was in, someone told me Texas, another person told me Alabama, and a third person told me they haven’t even left yet all in the same day. A lady told me that it was MY job to call the truck driver to see where he was. She said now that your truck has left we have nothing to do with communication about where your items are. Does that make any sense?? Then the person always says they will call you back no matter what it’s regarding and they have NEVER have called back in the span of a month. Fast forward 3 weeks later after we get the delivery, and we are missing boxes and a box spring. No one can find it and no one seems to have any communication with anyone else in the company, oh and they will “call me back” when they find the items. FIND A DIFFERENT COMPANY TRUST ME!”

I had one of the worst experiences with this moving company - inconsistent payment policies - at pickup one pays after the job is complete but at delivery, one has to pay prior to unloading, unprofessional movers- didn't even bring tools for reassembly of furniture and lots of attitude, and all kinds of hidden rules not stated upfront in the sale of their service like they aren't required to clean up after their move - all the unwrapping of furniture, can't assemble any furniture that requires bolting to wall like a standup mirror, and the list goes on. Great experience with Moving Kings Van Lines and I wanted to share it with everyone. I relocate for my company A LOT, typically about four times a year. I have had awesome experiences with moves and also terrible ones. The terrible ones are typically what you hear about. Nothing is on time, my things ended up breaking, my work documents have to go on the move. Therefore, I cannot continues working until I get them (only made this mistake a few times). With Moving Kings, I got an in-home estimate (smart idea-if you can swing it). Since my company pays for each move, I needed to get everything packed. The movers showed up within the time frame they gave me, super great. They were also cordial and not disrespectful. They were fast and efficient. Moving Kings followed up with me the day after the move to see how things went (not common - you usually have to call companies to get any sort of customer service or answers you are looking for). The whole move took about a week and a half. I needed time to get myself to California before they did. Nothing was ruined, but I had bought full insurance on my move just in case. Overall, it was super good. If you are looking for a company that will not screw up the move, check Moving Kings Van Lines out in my opinion.”

When I contracted with Moving Kings Van Lines I was very uneasy about the whole move. I had never moved by myself before and I had no clue what to expect. When the employees for Kings explained to me that they would assist me throughout my entire move, it definitely calmed my nerves a little bit. When the moving crew showed up to my address, I had everything packed up and ready to go except for a few items. They helped get those packed securely for the move. I wasn't quite sure what my new address would be yet, so they provided me with a month of free storage while I headed to Los Angeles to start apartment hunting. Once I found an apartment, I let Moving Kings know that I was ready to receive my items. The delivery took a few days longer than I had expected, but the driver kept in contact with me, so it wasn't a huge deal. When they delivered my items, they unloaded everything into the rooms I needed them in and put my bedroom set together for me. As I was unpacking, I came across a few damaged items. I contacted Moving Kings and they set me up with the claims department. I would suggest Moving Kings Van Lines to anyone that plans on moving.”

I chose Moving Kings for my move to Georgia to Texas. Here are some of the highlights: 1) No paperwork was reviewed or signed at the time the driver arrived and did the walk through 2) The driver did not believe that our stuff would fit completely in the truck that he brought for the job 3) A second truck came up and picked up some of the major items but left half empty 4) Fast forward to the next day, the driver filled up the truck completely and left me with approximately a garage stall worth of remaining household items 5) I was told that if I wanted to the rest of my items to be included in the move, I would need to pay an additional $6,000 6) When I refused to sign the bill of lading (which I did not sign prior to starting the job) until the issue was discussed and resolved, the driver was incredibly disrespectful, swore at me, and threatened to leave. 7) I had to threaten to call the police if he left with my belongings while I continued to resolve the issue with Shannon (customer service) on the phone 8) I ultimately agreed to pay $3,000 (in addition to the $12,000 I was already paying) just to move the remaining stuff … I had absolutely no bargaining power and no other choice (I believe the reason they ultimately accommodated the settlement was because they were legally bound to deliver the goods at no extra charge because I did not sign a "revised" estimate prior to loading.) 9) After leaving my house, the driver was involved in an accident with another car. He apparently did not report the accident to Moving Kings and they found out when he was notified by the police. 10) Driver was apparently fired 11) Friendly and semi-competent crew arrives at destination. They put most of my stuff in the garage so I had to later carry it to the correct destination. They forgot to re-assemble anything in my guest bedroom 12) 60in TV arrived with a cracked screen, looked almost like a screwdriver was jabbed through the packaging 13) Claim pending … expectations high Shannon was pleasant and helpful, also spoke with Julian the owner. He was friendly with an undertone of trying to understand his exposure to legal liability without clueing me in an any DOT required level of service that I was entitled to.”
