That should speak to just how solid the communication was and the extents that their movers went to complete my task, despite how late they needed to work. Every email or text received a prompt reply-- I cannot say the same for most services. Delays were communicated well in advance and the cadence of responses increased considerably during the delay. That's all I could have asked for. I only needed two items moved but they were heavy. The guys worked from 8-10 PM to move the items with care and to install the second item, a bed. And they helped dispose of my old items. Super courteous and would hire again in a heartbeat.”

I called and scheduled a week ago, had to wait a full week to get someone out here - move is now 3 weeks away. When no one showed at 9 am this morning I called the office. She said "so sorry they are stuck in traffic can they come at 5pm" -- 5Pm what kind of traffic takes a 9 am appt and makes it 5 pm. Remember I am in the "pre sales" moment -- when you get the BEST customer service. I'm really surprised about the positive reviews here. Please don't be fooled, when I dug up more I saw a negative review which had kind of similar experience. I had the displeasure of talking to this lady called Julia who definitely doesn't understand customer service or care. We asked for move in at 3:30 pm. She had mentioned there can be some delay which we were ok with. Closer to 2, they moved it to 5 Pm which was ok. Again closer to 5 they moved it to 6:30/7:00. There was a miscommunication between actual movers and the office whom we call. We thought it's reasonable at least to make a minimum from 3 to 2 hours since it was already too late in the night and we needed to clean up the old house. We had taken leave from work just for this. However she was adamant and in fact told us, we can just call someone else instead of using their service. REALLY ? You tell a customer to basically fuck off in the last minute ? She knew we had no other arrangement or choice. We were nothing but shocked that a service company can speak to customers that way. So now our reserved elevator in new apartment was also gone. Anyway when the movers finally arrived, there were two of them. We were given an estimate of 3 hours. They said they can be done in 2.5 hours. However that wasn't the case. We felt they were slow and not very efficient ( understandable they worked the whole day for another company). They also took a 20 minute break for dinner which is fine but at the end they didn't want to put in extra 20 minute, they wanted to just 5 more. We had to argue. We had to do quite a bit of the moving, packing and later also ring up our other friends to help us move. Literally it was just the truck which came to use. Do yourself a favor and please hire a UHaul or be prepared for a loooong move. The movers told us just before our move they went to a place which was given an estimate of 4 hours or so but it ended up being 9 hours. Oh the horror. Oh also mid way through the move they even changed the rate for the extra hour move. Speak of professionalism. This is just another money hungry don't care attitude mover with no respect for your time. We are really displeased with the moving company and the main office which handles everything than the actual movers. Especially Julia, please take a 101 on customer service. All in all waste of lot of money, time and we were exhausted as hell.”

Our 3 man + 2 truck crew arrived promptly and went to work right away. They even agreed to stop by our storage unit to move some additional furniture and helped up put everything together. They did ding a wall in our old house as they were removing some of our extremely heavy furniture but my boyfriend was able to fix it quickly. We weren't upset about it because, as mentioned before, our bedroom furniture is extremely heavy and we were just happy to not be moving any of it ourselves! They were efficient and friendly and we would happily use Movable again.”

Let's put it this way: we got exactly what we paid for. We had an incredibly simple move, a few large furniture items and some miscellaneous boxes that needed to be put in storage. We wrongly assumed that $400 was enough to cover our move since we had a minimal amount of things, of which nothing required wrapping or disassembly. The movers were (almost) on time, about 30 minutes late. The day before our move we received no confirmation that they were planning on coming or at what time they would arrive. The movers brought speakers and played incredibly loud music in our home while moving our things. In addition, the movers and the customer service reps at the company were pretty rude and very unhelpful. Our furniture all arrived intact, but things were fairly banged up due to the overall carelessness of the movers. Upon payment, they tried to charge us an extra $100 to cover their time for the trip back to Bellevue, apparently they hide the fact that you pay to have them on the clock up until they get back to their HQ - ridiculous!! This company is questionable at best and we would not recommend them!!”

Since we were moving out of our apartment this year we thought of contacting the same movers we had such a good experience with previously , the movable, but sad to say we were highly disappointed this time. First of all we were moving from 1 bed to 2 bed and we had a lot of things, which we mentioned to them before but they seemed to have issues making multiple trips up and down cause our previous residence was on 10th floor but they saved so much time cause our new apartment is on ground floor. They did not call us before hand informing us about the time they will reach , we had to do that as well. They had a moving slot before us and they came in already exhausted and were just not fast enough. They took 1 hour to dismantle our bed which is so easy and then an hour fixing it back again and they were charging us by the hour. Overall they could have just sent more competent people . They are awesome! Booked 2 movers and 1 truck more than one week earlier than moving day. They called in advance to check if we could accept 3 movers. It turned out a great idea to have 3 movers, since anyone would not be waiting when another one is wraping, etc., which makes the process quite smooth and effecient. And the hourly rate of 3 movers is only $10 more than that of 2 movers. They completed the whole process in 3 hours, and asked extra 15 minutes for the returning to the office. which is fair I think. No hidden fee or cost. I've used movable once before and they did great. I used them this time for a move from Seattle to SF and it was just awful. Just to be clear, the Seattle crew was good. The SF crew was just horrible. First: poor communication. They communicated the arrival date only after I asked more than once and wouldn't accommodate any changes. (I can live with that) Second: a nothing but problems attitude. The movers arrived in SF and called me saying that they can't find the place. They couldn't tell me where they are or anything else. When I asked if they tried entering the address into the GPS, the response was "Oh" and he hung up. This was one example. There are many many more. Third: poor work ethic. (Broke my stuff and refused to assemble the furniture they disassembled) The movers were supposed to deliver the furniture and assemble the pieces they disassembled. They didn't. They just dumped all the furniture and said that they will not assemble anything and that this is not their problem. On top of that, they broke a brand new couch, an entry way table, and my bookcase. They left all the stuff with the wrapping material and moving blankets. Took me about half a day to unpack the stuff from their wrapping and dispose of the material. Also, they refused to take cards despite being told by the office that they will accept cards. They said they will only take cash and we're very reluctant to write me a receipt. Very shady. Poor work ethic.”

I worked with Movable for a move about three months ago and took a risk that it was just a great deal rather than sacrificing quality for money. I was wrong. My experience was horrific and included: 1. Late arrival - the movers arrived 45 minutes late. They texted me ~15 minutes before they were supposed to arrive asking me if it was okay if they arrived late. "No, we need to finish the move by a certain time, I would appreciate it if you showed up at the agreed time." They responded traffic was bad and they couldn't, so they showed up 45 minutes late. 2. Very poor communication - I again reiterated that we needed to move in to our new place by 4pm due to condo rules when they arrived. I asked if there was anything we can do to help if needed. They said 4pm wouldn't be a problem. They were wrong and moving until 5pm and got us in trouble with our new condo building on the first day. Not only this, they were sliding down the driveway riding the dolly like a toy at one point rather than hustling to move us by the necessary time. 3. Damaged items - holy cow. I cannot find an item of ours that was not damaged. They damaged the hallway in both buildings, a couch, dressers, bar stools, etc. Literally almost every large piece of furniture now has significant, visible damage. I cannot warn you enough against hiring Movable for your next move. Even if you have to pay slightly more for someone else, it's well worth your money to do so.”

BEWARE! Negligent & Disreputable! I posted an account of the damage this company did to a fine dining table. Movers were negligent and disregarded my instructions to disassemble and wrap a protective glass top for this rare wood table. When the damage occurred over a month ago, I had two company reps telling me they were having my table "restored". Five weeks later, I received a phone call from someone who says they didn't have the table restored and refused to do so BECAUSE I POSTED AN ACCURATE ACCOUNT OF THE INCIDENT ON YELP. They still have my table and can't say when they will deliver the damaged piece to me. This company is negligent and deceptive. I still can't get my priceless table back. We hired Movable for moving from our apartment into our new home after being recommended by a colleague. They are as good as it gets. First I got the quote from their online tool, and within 2 hours Julia responded. I then asked her multiple questions over several emails over mattress protection, TV protection, dumping unwanted items and she replied very promptly with a crisp answer for every question. The pricing was very transparent. On the moving day (today) the movers texted me as they were running 15-25 minutes late. When they arrived, they noted the time, confirmed it on paper and got me to sign. We were not sure whether they will take items slowly given it's a hourly-billed business, so there's an incentive to delay. On the contrary, both the guys (Victor and Miro) were extremely swift- we just gave them rough instructions of what to get, they took it from there completely- taking utmost care to protect all our sofas, glass items, mattress etc by wrapping in multiple layers of plastic. This also insulated it from rain. They used elevator only for heaviest items, and took the stairs otherwise for quick turnout. They moved all the items without fumbling, and were able to fit all our furniture, boxes, suitcases and miscellaneous items in one go. Neither of Victor or Miro look very bulky or muscular, but don't look initial looks fool you- they are extremely efficient at carrying and don't even visibly struggle to lift items which are extremely heavy. Once in our new house, they were very respectful of our request to take off shoes in carpeted areas which we got steam cleaned even though it could be very inconvenient while lifting a huge mattress. They made sure everything was placed exactly as we wanted it, and when we were unable to figure the couch configuration in the first iteration they entertained our multiple requests to lift it and re-align so it could recline best. They installed felts for us on our tables as we asked so as to not scratch hardwood floors. They arranged our bedroom exactly as we wanted it, and made sure we'd seen it thoroughly and examined to our satisfaction before finishing. They even carried our suitcases up the stairs. Not one item had even the slightest of damage. They brought a good end to what was otherwise a nightmare experience for me and my wife moving items ourselves over 20 days. If we had known Movable would be so efficient, we would have moved less ourselves and let them do more of the moving. Extremely satisfied. Some things worth knowing: 3 hours is minimum. We were done in 2 hours only. For dumping items, it costs extra. There is a one-time fee for travel too, and extra fee for stairs. There is a 3% processing fee for cards, and 5% discount for cash. PS. We hired them in Seattle Eastside area.”
