“ Do not use this company for any of your moving needs. They run a theft ring in the city and have witnessed it multiple times. Upon what I'm sure is many other things by the look of other reviews, they steal bikes from all over the city. I witnessed them stealing a bike off the 3rd story balcony of an apartment building while "moving" someone out. The bike was locked and they cut it and threw it in their truck. Just this morning I witnessed them stealing another bike that was chained up at a train stop. They had a lookout while another person took the bike. Who does this? Major scumbags.”

First, we called them around 2pm on a Friday at the end of the month to help us out with a same day move (our other movers bailed on us!) and they were there within a couple of hours! Meti, Marco, Taymon & Mike all showed up to our rescue, but also came in with a great attitude & alleviate any concerns going forward. These guys came in and we couldn't believe how quickly they worked! We had a complicated move with a stop prior to our final destination and they didn't complete the job until nearly midnight, but all the while, with a smile. We were their THIRD move of the day and they seriously couldn't have had a better attitude. Also, all of our belongings arrived safely. “ I cannot say enough good things about Midway Moving and Storage! It started when we walked into the Storage location on Chicago Ave to pick up boxes and spoke with John. He gave us pointers on how many boxes, how to best pack dishes, and encouraged us to call for a moving quote. We went back to John 3x to get boxes and each time he was so helpful and always left us with a smile. I then called for a quote and spoke with Ty. Ty was AMAZING and helped with all the details I didn't know how to explain. He ensured we would have all the items we would need, he explained any extra charges that may pop up if we needed extra supplies so that we understood everything involved. Made the process easy and understandable. Then on moving day we had the VIP crew of Lou, Javier, and Noel. We cannot say enough positive things about this crew. They were polite, professional, quick, and beyond helpful. There was no damage to anything that was moved, they took extra care and even made it fun for us as well. Once we got to our final destination they even gave my dad a Midway Mover shirt because he did help unload some smaller items on the truck. They are the best movers we have ever used and will use them again in the future and recommend them to everyone! “ They will give you a low ball estimate but will raise it after they weigh everything. So their prices are just like the national companies and maybe a little more. I moved from IL to FL and they moved my stuff with another customer moving at the same time. But weren't aware they would move our stuff together. I got some boxes that were not mine and other stuff never arrived (step ladder, sound bar etc). So they will mix stuff up if you move out of state with another customer. You will have to sign a document saying that they do not cover valuables like jewelry. They moved my stuff in and when I wasn't looking went into my night stand and stole my expensive watches ($5k). I saw an earring on the floor outside of the night stand where my watches were when they left. When I looked in the jewelry box inside the nightstand the watches were gone. So the watches got here but were taken. And I was not able to claim it. But the rest of my stuff was moved with minimal damage. Use a national company to move out of state. I would not recommend them to move out of state.”

“ 3/26/2020 I Strongly Feel, Midway Movers Cheated (stole from) my mother! Spend your money elsewhere! They sent an Unqualified Estimator who Low Balled my 91 year old mother on an initial Estimate that got them a Job! Once they Had her Possessions then did a Bait And Switch on her. They had not given her Written Information then Doubled the Price once they had picked up her furnishing. Also, Showing No Compassion in dealing with the then early stage Covad Pandemic, they intimidated her into signing for an additional $250 while waiting for Senior housing maintenance personnel to empty her unit based on Government Restrictions at the time. Not Allowing non residents into the City run Seniors Center. After the movers left, she was sent an email saying the price was Now double, feeling Intimidated and Afraid to Argue she paid with a credit card. I'm her Son and she was Embarrassed that I found out how she was Exploited! Movers showed up at their destination within estimated time. Items are Damaged and Missing and Midway Movers sent her the BS forms to claim missing and damaged items. Watching the new home being filled it became Readily Apparent that these people had No Respect for my mother's possessions. I watched one mover damage a Valuable Chest by just pushing it off his hand truck by himself. Anyone considering doing business with this alleged Moving Company should go Elsewhere. Great Chicago Name used by incompetence and illegitimate people.”

“ DO NOT do business with this company. It took three men six hours to move a 1 bedroom. One of the workers (D. Rose) sat and watched the others do most of the work but still wanted the same $180/hr. Also, they plastic wrapped and put tape on things that were not needed and charged me for it. If you have to do business with this company make sure they do not charge you for things that you do not ask for.”

“ I hired Midway because I wanted to use someone local to relocate my belongings to Texas. The customer service was good but the quality of service is trash. I am beyond flustered. Jorge was assigned to my pickup and did a careless job. He got into an altercation with my neighbors causing the police to be called. Most importantly, he did a rushed job and left boxes and stools after getting frustrated about the altercation. Due to this, I had to drive my car 16 hours to Texas to transport my other items since they were left. Keep in mind I was originally going to transport my car. It took a week for my items to arrive, which wasn't too bad. Upon arrival Bob handled my delivery. He was nice but clearly was set up for this disaster. First, Bob says "I see your bed, but no mattress" this was odd because Midway disassembled my bed and took the mattress set and included it in the inventory. Not only are my 2 smart Tv's cracked, I have boxes full of broken glass (each box was labeled "glass/fragile", my large living room mirror was damaged and my bed could not be assembled because Jorge lost the screws. I do not recommend this company and I have hired an attorney. To top it off, I contacted Bob to inform him that clearly they delivered my stuff elsewhere because I had items delivered to me that did not belong to me. Spare yourself the tears, do not use this company!! Oh, and they ask for tips before completing the job. I tipped them $100 at pickup since they were done in less than 2 hours. I was quoted $2,300 but ended up paying $3,535 for the weight.”
