Joe and his crew of four at Metropolitan Moving did an amazing job on my move. They moved me from a three bedroom home with lots of furniture, including some really heavy bedroom pieces, to a storage unit. They were open to making an extra stop at my fiance's home to drop off some furniture and carried some of the very heavy pieces upstairs, then took some of her pieces to the storage unit with minimal extra cost. The best part was that there was no damage to our homes or any of the furniture during the move. The guys worked hard and I appreciated the fixed-price bid. The worst experience I have EVER had. If you are considering contracting this company - DON'T! Finding a pickup truck and a two monkeys would be a better use of your money and time. This company called me 3 times the day prior to the move; then wanted to show up 6 hours late in the dark to perform the move. I called the company and no-one could provide any resolution. After rescheduling they not only did not show up for the rescheduled date, but did not call me back with any information of why or what. I strongly suggest not using this company. After confirming the move assist, they did not send me any email (as they said they would). The company is a total disconnect. The company is dispatched out of Durham, New Hampshire. The company Metropolitan Movers are out of Charlotte, NC. This company is extremely unprofessional. On the occasion where the supervisor did call me back her was unprofessional and used language that was not conducive to commerce. I say again - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are completely unreliable and unprofessional. The ABSOLUTE WORST!!!”
