Sometimes a larger move or a hoist will require an additional mover’s help. Each additional mover from Meta Movers Pittsburgh is an additional $26 dollars per hour. I always make it a goal to get at least 3 quotes for movers as prices tend to be all over the place and a lot of people don't even respond to inquiries. Pittsburgh is nothing like DC when it comes to movers. You can find movers who do long distance moves easily in DC whereas a lot of the movers in Pittsburgh only do local moves, don't respond to inquiries at all, or can't guarantee delivery of your items until up to 8 days of them packing your stuff as it is being loaded with other people's moves. Meta Movers was a true Godsend. Ross responded to me promptly and gave me a great quote to move from Pittsburgh to Burlington, VT with my items arriving the very next day of them being picked up in Pittsburgh. I couldn't accomplish this with any of the other movers in Pittsburgh I reached out to. It was either no responses, up to 8 days for delivery, higher prices compared to Meta with still the 8 day delivery window, and some company had the tenacity to quote me almost $9,000 for a 1 bedroom apartment move 600 miles away. WTF?! Anyway, I highly recommend Meta Movers if you're moving in or out of the Pittsburgh area. Ross and Marc are amazing. I wouldn't waste my time with any other movers in the area as I reached out to all of them and they all disappointed in their prices, delivery schedules, and/or responses.”

If you're looking for movers, honestly look no further. I moved locally at the start of the month and had the best experience with them. I absolutely despise moving and the whole thing stresses me out, so I called a ton of moving companies about a month before the move and compared prices, asked about covid-19 precautions each was taking, and asked additional general questions that came to mind. When I reached out to Meta Movers they were really responsive and helpful (& so affordable too!). My gut told me to go with them, and I'm so glad I did. The planning for the move went well, and on moving day everything went in the best possible way it could have gone. They did a great job moving everything out of my old apartment while I walked over to my new apartment before I came back to do the last bit of cleaning in my old apartment. And everything was in my new apartment and my bed had been assembled (after it had been disassembled in my old apartment) right where I wanted it once I met back up with them when they had finished bringing everything over to my new home. I wasn't at all worried about anything breaking because they seemed really careful and considerate, and now having unpacked some of my boxes -- absolutely nothing broke, even in my fragile boxes. In addition to being really careful, they were also quick and efficient. Given covid, they were also really conscientious of mask-wearing whenever we saw each other (as was I) and they were really good about socially distancing with me when we would interact. I initially felt wary of moving during the pandemic but their amazing help in moving everything over and their thoughtfulness completely made moving during the pandemic a, dare I say, even enjoyable experience. I can't recommend them enough. If I ever move locally again or even if I move further away, I hope to hire them again since they are fantastic.
