Very good movers, personable and put furniture where indicated. However they arrived at 8:45 and statement said 8:30. They charged for half hour lunch break and two fifteen minute breaks. Do not think that's equitable. Was pleased with runners that were used as it was raining practically whole time. Used Mayberry Moving Co out of Dayton Ohio, because a friend sugested them, and they gave us the best rates on a move to Florida. Mike is very hard to contact first of all. Then we were talked into insurance. When the Van arrived,the guys spoke Spsnish and broken English, the guys said you can't mark off every box it take to long. Stupid me! We signed off for them, and then found we had a box with some garage things missing. Didn't know the insurance we bought extra,had a 250.00 deductable and the the tools amounted to less than that . Shame on us for believing people at this company were truthful! Would I recommend them ABSOLUTLY NOT! Sould have used Lewis and MIcheal, even though they were a little higher, they done the first move and were wonderful. Cheaper isn't always better!!”

My experience with Mayberry's was quite different from the other review. After getting quotes by multiple companies on a move from Connecticut to Dayton, most of them indicating that the move would take over a week and that the person delivering will not be the same as the one picking up, these guys saved the day. They sent two guys from Dayton to CT in a truck to pick up my things. The same two guys drove everything to Ohio and they were the same two guys that delivered everything. They even accommodated my time the day of delivery as I had to drive overnight to get to the new apartment. Needless to say, having the same people do the move, particularly on such a long distance move, was quite reassuring. I would definitely recommend. In fact, I may be using them again in an upcoming move within Ohio”

A rating of "1" is generous!! 26 years in the military with 13 moves within the states and overseas and I've never had a move as BAD as this one by Mayberry. It started when they didn't show up on time, condensed a planned five day loading into four days. And then they didn't work full days on those four days except for last day when they started at 9AM and didn't leave until 1:30AM the next day. When furniture was delivered, there were items not only broken but missing!! Two flat screen TVs smashed, armoire mirror broken, brass bed finials missing, etc. Allowed damages totaled over $2,000. NEVER had that extent of damages in a military move. Because Mayberry doesn't seem to have any relationship with moving companies/labor forces in Tennessee, they took three full days to unload. They said they couldn't find anyone to help. I'd say they didn't want to pay anyone the "going" rate. I would never recommend this company to anyone!! I trust my realtor's concierge service has removed them from their list of recommended movers.”

From the time of scheduling my initial estimate, all of my communication with Mayberry's has been reassuring and professional. On the day of my move, the truck arrived about 10 minutes ahead of the window, and the two gentlemen (Johnny and Andrew) got to work immediately. They had to park the truck about two houses away due to other cars being on the street, but they never complained. Additionally, Johnny and Andrew were both very helpful and reassuring. They were more than polite, they were friendly and outgoing and funny and put me at ease immediately. They took all the right care of my belongings, and were active problem-solvers when it came to a confusing door set up at my new home. I cannot recommend Mayberry's highly enough.
