Marie’s Movers is locally owned and operated by Jim Anctil and Karen Bresson, who have dedicated themselves to building a business based on integrity. Our sense of responsibility to our customers, employees and community is why our customers often say that we are “not your typical moving company.” Marie is Jim’s mother, who owned Marie’s Country Furnishings, which was a furniture and gift store located in Southbury for over 40 years. When we opened Marie’s Movers we not only kept Marie’s name, we carried on her high level of customer service and values. We believe in cultivating a fulfilling work environment, and as such have attracted employees with a high skill set and outstanding work ethic. Their packers can help with as little or as much of your packing and unpacking as you desire. They package fragile items with paper and bubble wrap which guarantees their safe arrival. Often when moving there are items that are no longer needed or wanted.  In addition to moving you, they can remove those items and either dispose or donate them.  This team works closely with Safe Haven of Greater Waterbury and Southbury Training School. Their movers are trained and knowledgeable in how to safely move pianos and safes.
