Long's Transfer held my furniture in Highlands, NC, for 4 months, telling me that their trips to Florida kept 'falling through.' I finally realized they were not going to bother and called Allied who picked it up and brought it to Florida within several days. For less than one room's worth of furniture the bill was almost $1000 at Long's and all they did was pick it up and put it in their storage. Allied picked it up at Long's and transported and unloaded at my home in Florida for not much more than what Long's charged. Terrible service, continual lies. I don't know how they stay open. They made what should have been a simple, reasonable transaction an expensive nightmare.”
