Not only was a cheaper, the guy we were working with, Anthony, was very quick in responding. The day of the move, 3 men (Christopher, Rayu, and Josh) showed up ready and eager to start working. Christopher was great at directing and advising Rayu and Josh. They were such an efficient, organized, and FAST team of movers. The biggest plus was that they transported our large flat screen tv that a lot of moving services will not even dare to move. Moving during COVID, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I actually enjoyed my day (!) with them. Joe and Jaleen took the proper precautions via face masks, were very communicative about timing (arrival, drive time, lunch break, etc), and Jaleen is a tetris genius (esp since my stuff was going into a storage unit, this was v. important). They helped disassemble a few pieces of furniture, as asked, which was great, and wrapped them in cellophane. I had music playing all throughout the day, which lightened the mood, and the guys appreciated it. I was almost sad to have the day come to an end, I was enjoying hanging out with them. I was moving solo because my partner had to work that day, and vaguely nervous about it, but the three guys were super punctual, friendly, easy to work with, and even grabbed stuff out of our building's garage to load into the truck. I had paid for the actual value insurance, but it turns out it wasn't needed, since everything arrived without a scratch. If you need movers, look no further. Affordable, professional, and super accommodating. I waited till the last minute to book movers and was scrambling to find anyone with reasonable rates to help me out and Jays was able to book movers on a weekend for about a 1br apartment worth of stuff (I called on a Monday and was able to get a team that Sunday). In the middle of the week, I asked whether it would be possible for the movers to make an additional stop to also move my boyfriend's things within the same trip - which they were able to do. The entire move took about 4 hours. Jaleen, Luis, and Tim showed up on time and were able to move all my things from my third floor apt (stairs only with bikes somewhat blocking the halls), get to my bfs place, take his bed apart, load their truck, and get to the new place, and move all of our things including a mattress, a bed, a giant headboard, several TVs, several mirrors, two large dressers, multiple tables/desks, etc etc. up two narrow flights of stairs. All within 4 hours. Nothing broke, nothing was destroyed. They were super polite and professional and honestly could not have done this move without them. High recommend.”

I was super stressed to move during COVID, but thanks to Jay's Small Moves, my move was completely stress-free and honestly enjoyable! Leading up to the move, I called Jay's a couple times with questions and they were super responsive and helpful to answer all of them. They also called me both a week before and the day before my move to confirm all of my details. I thought this was fantastic. Fernando, Will, and Josh arrived on-time on the day of my move with all of the necessities -- blankets to wrap furniture, tape, plastic wrap, wardrobe boxes, etc. They took all the proper safety precautions -- wearing masks the entire time. I had some very heavy furniture, and I imagine it was very difficult wearing a mask while lifting super heavy items (almost like going on a run or playing sports with a mask on!), and yet they did so out of precaution, and I was extremely grateful for this. They wrapped all my furniture super carefully, and moved it out very efficiently. Josh and Will were particularly wonderful when it came to wrapping up the furniture. I could also see they took great care in protecting my items when loading them into the moving truck. When we arrived at the new place, they came up to see the layout of the space, and review where each item would go. Fernando also assured me that after everything was unloaded, they would be happy to rearrange things to my liking. I really appreciated this! Overall, it was a fantastic, seamless experience and I would absolutely use Jay's again. They offer fantastic, reliable service, and I would definitely recommend them if you need a good mover. You're especially lucky if you get Fernando, Josh, and/or Will, as they are a dream team!”
