My husband found these guys to help move an old bed out and a new (very heavy) bed in. They were originally scheduled to complete it Wednesday, but they had a job bigger than anticipated. Matt called (which is a huge plus for me because I get tired of impersonal text messages as a means of customer service) and explained the situation. He was so kind and I know if I'd have complained he would've made it happen, but it wasn't a huge rush so we rescheduled to the next morning. They showed up on time and got it all put together. It is with regret that I write this review. I had hoped to leave a 5 star review for Matt but sadly, I cannot in good conscious recommend this moving/packing company. Our initial meeting went great, and Matt left us feeling confident in his company and his staff. We hired Matt and his staff to pack up our entire house, take it to a storage facility and then move our belongings into our house once it was ready and reassemble the pieces they had taken apart when packing. We were happy to pay the fees quoted due to the amount of work we knew this job would take. The crew showed up promptly, and that was the only positive of the entire process. 1. Despite having completed a full house walk through, they did not bring enough boxes to pack up our house. They told me they were out of boxes so they were done packing. When I pointed out that only 3/4 of the house was packed they told me I could go buy more boxes for them. Boxes (of all kinds) were included in our fee. Matt did not come on the packing day, even though he said he would. After a phone call from me, his team left for an hour to get more boxes. 2. Our 14 year olds closet contents, clothes, sports equipment, books, were all tossed in to a comforter and shoved in a box. 3. Many fragile items were packed carelessly and were broken as a result. 4. The crew said they finished and were leaving. I asked if we could do a final walkthrough. I found several wall hangings and 2 closets that were not packed. I was then asked if I wanted them to pack those items. Its difficult not to be sarcastic here. 5. I asked to have another final walkthrough once they actually finished the job. They left before this could be done. I should note I was at the house the entire time, cleaning. I heard the truck start and a door close, and I got to the door in time to see them drive away. There was still items in the garage that were never packed. They had to come back and they were less than pleasant or professional when they returned. 6. Due to our situation, all our furniture was brand new. We were assured that it would be well taken care of and placed carefully in the storage unit. We went to check the storage unit when they were done and our furniture was stacked, tossed, unwrapped, and crammed into the unit. We made it known we were happy to rent more that one unit. I can't say why they didn't request a second one from us. We couldn't believe it. 7. Moving in day. My husband's desk was broken when reassembling because they couldn't remember where they had put the correct screws and pieces when they disassembled it. 8. While unpacking our house hold item boxes, we discovered 2 of our Chrome casts were missing. We also found many broken items. 9. We notified Matt of these issues and asked to be reimbursed for these things and were told, no. We truly believed based on past interactions that Matt would at least try and make the situation right for us, but zero attempt was made and no concern for us was shown. 10. On packing day, Matt told us to hold on to the moving blankets until we were done getting the house set up. He would refund us $10 per blanket. We returned 13 blankets and received a check for $120. Normally $10 wouldn't be an issue but this was just one more example of poor business practice and zero customer service. I have left out several other issues because this post is already too long.”

Wow! I was so nervous to hire a moving company after a bad experience a few years back. I shopped around and talked to other people to see who they recommended. I got about 10 different quotes from companies with mid to high reviews. The price quotes extremely varied (one as high as $780+ and one as low as $75/hour) so I was anxious after even after speaking with iHaul and they said there were no hidden fees. They were in the mid range of pricing. After lots of debating, I decided to go with iHaul because they were the easiest to get a hold of, quickest to respond, and had the best reviews. The representative also spoke highly of his team (by name) and mentioned that some of their movers had worked for the company for over 10 years. (That's impressive for a manual labor/small company). Based on what I told him we had in furniture, he gave me a quote by the hour that including the truck driving from iHaul facility to first location and ended when they arrived back at the location. (Instead of charging mileage/truck fees), this seemed very reasonable. We moved from a 2 bdrm/1 ba apartment on the second floor to a 2 bdrm/1.75 ba house on 3 floors. We moved most boxes ahead of time except for the heavy ones and packed ourselves. We had several heavy furniture pieces that my husband new we go to war with getting upstairs. Tyler and Oscar called me promptly when they were on their way (beginning of the window time I was given, even better!). Then the representative called to double check we knew they were on their way. They arrived and did a walk-through. Very polite, professional, confident and made me feel at ease. They loaded up everything within an hour. They put shrink wrap on any doors/drawers that might fall open or scratch. We then met at the new place, and they even asked where I wanted each item (yes!). I changed my mind a couple times but they were very nice and double checked when done. Easiest process, I feel so at ease and happy. It ended up being cheaper than I expected and I paid cash for an additional discount. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone I know. I don't plan on moving for a long time, but if I do I'll be begging for Oscar and Tyler again.”

We recently moved from Colorado Springs and used Ihaul Imove to load our 26 ft. Uhaul. Everything went smoothly up to the day of our move. Three workers arrived on time although I would not use the term real movers real results. The lead mover definitely had moving experience however the other two were helpers. One of the helpers openly complained about the work. I was billed at the rate quoted which was less time than anticipated because of the preparation we put in before their arrival. The main problem was that a brand new 1200.00 Samsung refrigerator was loaded facing inward and a media center was pushed into the remaining space in front of it. We were planning on using this appliance in our kitchen but with the large dent it became unusable. It has become a brand new garage fridge. I called and immediately reported the damage but it became clear that there was no procedure in place to deal with this issue. I received a call from Matt and he left a voicemail stating that I could call him back if I wanted to pursue this or if I wanted to drop the matter. Of course I wanted it to be repaired!!! I called back but could only leave a voicemail. They have never replied to that voicemail and show no effort in taking responsibility and repairing the door. I would suggest using real movers if you want your furnishings to survive.”
