If Hands On Moving is only providing loading or unloading services, they are not responsible for any damages, which may occur in transporting the furniture and is released of all liability after loading the truck prior to unloading. They are only responsible for items in their immediate care, custody and control. Particle board is excluded as well. They only move empty freezers/refrigerators. They only move empty aquariums. Hands On Moving reserves the right to reschedule the move at an agreed upon time, without liability if there is inclement weather, including, but not limited to heavy/freezing rain, snow emergency, hurricane warning, weather travel ban etc. Their personnel will move your pianos, appliances, and items over 300 lbs. They do not move large upright pianos up or down flights of stairs inside the house. They only move pianos from ground to ground floor.

PLEASE READ-AVOID MOVING NIGHTMARE $1,200. Things started out pretty smoothly when scheduling and speaking to Billie about moving out of a three bedroom two story townhome and into a one story house Moving day arrives and the movers show up around 9am(the time frame was between 8am-11am). They showed up in a big moving truck that was pretty filthy but it was a moving truck so no big deal. What was a big deal was the first mover who arrived and the fact we were sent only two movers? We were paying for three. The first guy was out of shape and had a horrible stench that was absolutely revolting. We had to call Billie and ask her to send a third guy to help move our furniture and the third guy was called from a different moving company. Not even two hours later and the first guy looked like he was about to drop dead of a heart attack. I believe he was asthmatic but even if he was, why would he be in this line of work. The first guy,who was overweight and out of shape, pretty much stayed in the truck because he physically could not do anything. The other two movers, bless their souls, were kind and professional and were unfortunately left to do the move on their own for the next several hours. We expected the move to take about 3-4 hours but the movers didn’t leave until 6:30 pm. And even then, there was still stuff at the townhome we had to take. Now everything was packed fairly well and was in boxes so fairly easy to load and unload. The movers were also sent in without any tools or stretch wrap. They hardly had any moving blankets and I had to make several trips to retrieve tools. Luckily I had bought moving supplies myself so the furniture was able to be wrapped but most of my furniture received fair amount of damage. My furniture is custom made and priceless. We had to make several trips with our two cars to finish grabbing the rest of our stuff(we stayed up for 24hrs) and when we spoke to Billie again she gave us a “discount” by paying for two movers instead of three to take off 1/4 of the total price but we still ended up paying $1,200. Billie also tried to blame us by saying we told her it was a two bedroom home. Overall it was the worst experience I have had and wouldn’t wish this upon anyone. We were exhausted mentally and physically. Do not go with this company, they are a scam and I will forever remember how bad the stench of the first guy was. It was truly a horrid experience.”

I then called Hands on Moving, explained in detail the massive size and weight of the safe that needed to be moved, and the next day they were at my house at the agreed upon time to begin the process. After discovering that the 4 men that arrived for the job would not be able to fulfill the task, the owner Xzavier called 2 more men to assist. His comment to me was that we promised to move this and we will! I had my doubts, but was extremely encouraged by his word and optimism. Finally after a couple hours the task was completed.
