Greene Moving & Storage provides full-service local and long-distance moving services: the one place for all of your commercial and residential moving needs. Founded by Michael Greene in 1988, Greene Moving grew from a company run out of Michael’s basement and one box truck to Connecticut’s premier moving and storage company with 40,000 square feet of warehousing and a large fleet of moving trucks. Greene’s growth is strongly attributed to its philosophy of top notch customer service and treating the employees like family. Michael Greene worked in the facilities management field for many years, as a facilities manager he was tasked with coordinating and overseeing large relocations and modular furniture installations for some of Connecticut’s largest companies. Michael saw a fragmented industry and observed the need for a “one stop shop” for a company that could handle a relocation and furniture installation. The process of having to contract two separate companies was a logistical challenge. Therefore, in 1988, Michael started Greene Associates and drew on his industry experience to create a business that would provide value to clients undergoing a relocation, furniture installation, or office reconfiguration.

I hired Greene to move my 2 Bedroom household from CT to PA. The service from Greene Moving was very professional. They showed up exactly at the time we agreed on, packed all my stuff and left. Everything was packed perfectly and loaded with care. They again delivered my stuff next day at Philly exactly on the agreed time. They unloaded with care and setup almost everything ( except the stuff we asked not to unpack). I am still unpacking all our staff and had not find any broken or damaged goods yet. The price was very reasonable, I had inquired with a lot of packers-movers and I have received different quotation varying the amount by a lot. My quote with Greene was a median quote but the service I received was exceptional. For the future customers, one more thing I would like to mention, you often hear about movers charge extra after you pack and move your staff and that sort of, but Greene came to inspect beforehand and provided me a quotation which was not changed by a penny. Edit to add this was in January 2017 and my stuff did make it, nothing was broken. The guys doing the packing definitely seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Then, they ran out of tape and stood around waiting for someone to bring them more instead of continuing to work. Thankfully I didn’t have too much stuff so I’m I only used their minimum amount of time. If I had a bigger move there definitely would have been issues.”
