DO NOT USE. By far the worst experience I've ever had with a company. For context, I used them for a cross-country move. Here were the issues: (i) after they repeatedly guaranteed a specific delivery window (and I repeatedly expressed it was essential my move be completed within that window), they were more than a week late. Worse, they, had no legitimate explanation for the delay, their sales and customer service representatives (an oxymoron in their case) repeatedly dodged my calls and were entirely incommunicative, and when I finally did talk with folks they were rude and unprofessional. I received only a small reduction in overall cost for my delay, which did not even fully cover my out-of-pocket expenses, much less breach of contract or the inconvenience. (ii) Their contracting practices are bordering on fraudulent. (iii) Many of my items were broken and clearly handled very roughly. When I indicated I would make claim (since I had paid extra for full coverage), their driver discouraged me from doing so, explaining they would never pay anyway. (iv) Delivery team was rude, required us to do work we paid them for, and failed to reassemble items they themselves had disassembled. Before posting this review I reached out to their CEO (who is either in over his head or just a bad actor) to negotiate a settlement, but he declined to offer anything other than his ardent desire I post nothing negative (go figure).”

I've experienced a similar issue as everyone else - Great Nation Moving (G.N.) lured me with a low price, guaranteed it would not change, loaded my belongings and sent me an invoice that was exorbitantly higher. I used G.N. for a move from Maryland to Texas. G.N. decided to change their price while my belonging are en-route. They made demands of additional money effectively holding my belongings hostage. They claimed the inventory changed which is untrue. David made a face to face visit to my apt for an estimate. We reviewed the inventory sheet, line by line, with him and the staff. I uploaded a Youtube video that was viewed by David, Scott (salesman) and the logistics staff. They confirmed they looked at my inventory in detail and they are confident that we have an accurate estimate. They guaranteed my price was fixed via 2 text messages and an email. I showed David proof that he guaranteed my price. He doesn't want to hear it. Either I pay the extra money or I won't get my belongings. This bait & switch tactic is harmful to consumers and should not be allowed. It is criminal if you ask me. I paid for one stop at an alternate location for items to be dropped off. David decided he wouldn't do it because his staff improperly tagged my furniture and there isn't an easy way to effectively make the drop off work. This means I have to hire another company to finish G.N.'s incomplete work. G.N. walked away from part of the work order; it will cost me $1,500 to hire another vendor to fix G.N.'s failure to perform. Lastly, the crew who picked up my items in Maryland were unprofessional. Their truck blocked my neighbor who asked for it to be moved so they could back their vehicle out. A crew member told my neighbor that he wasn't going to move the truck until they were done packing and loading. It would have been another 5 hrs before they were done. I found myself in the middle of a confrontation between my neighbor and the G.N. crew. I was friendly with that neighbor until this happens. The family gave me a dirty look as I was leaving the property. G.N. should have moved their truck so my neighbor can leave. It would have taken 30 seconds. I don't understand why the G.N. crew need to be jerks. Be weary of the unprofessional crew. Don't fall for David's dirty tricks. Don't fall for David's bait and switch scam. Don't deal with this crooked company. Period. Full stop.”

Moved from Nashville to Seattle and I was extremely disappointed in the amount of furniture that was damaged in the process. We have also been trying to get in touch with them for over a month about it and no response. My suggestion: avoid these guys. We had to get rid of both a queen and king bed frame because they were so badly damaged that we couldn't use them. The couch was dirty and a couple glasses were broken. We also had bookshelves damaged.”

It sucks that I am unable to give anything below a 1 star rating because even 1 star is too high for this pathetic excuse of a company. I made reservations months ago for a move across the country. I was told countless times that my move was "confirmed" and it would "absolutely" fall into my requested window (Weds or Thurs). In the week leading up to the move I called to confirm and they confirmed everything was good to go. Two days before I called and they notified me that my move may not be able to happen in my requested window. One day later was not the end of the world but then the next day (24 hours before my cross country move) they said it wont happen. No apology and one excuse after another. It is fine if there is a trucking shortage, but why not keep your customers in the loop and make that very clear from the very beginning? I had to get a Uhaul and pack it myself. I am writing this review in my hotel room because these guys left me out to dry. Anyone who is looking to move, please spend your hard earned money elsewhere.”

CANCELED A LONG DISTANCE MOVE A DAY BEFORE Avoid this company. They canceled my cross country move a day before after I called multiple times confirming the move. Every time I called they would reassure me everything was fine and it almost made me feel bad for calling. Two days before they said they didn't think they could do it and they'd get back to me then they ghosted me. The day before my move I had to call and they said they couldn't do it. They will give you the standard BS sales pitch how they are trustworthy and you should go with them and now I am having to pack, rent, and drive a u-haul 1300 miles on my own because this company absolutely screwed me over.”

You know how when you move things normally break or there's something small that you lose? Not the case at all with this amazing company. I moved about 700 miles on my own and my two-man moving team from Great Nation was just awesome. They were both so nice and so careful with my things. NOTHING broke. NOTHING was damaged. I don't know how they did it but I'm sure glad they did!!! They were also on time when they said they would arrive, and they were also right on time when they said they would deliver. They were super efficient in their time management and organization, and they were really prompt loading/unloading my belongings (I moved with the contents of a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment). Great Nation Moving overcharged us and did not provide adequate service. They were not only unprofessional, but scammed us by raising costs dramatically, including the common scam of loading the truck 3/4 of the way and then demanding more money. Below is a summary of the issues we faced in general chronological order. Original quote nearly doubled, rising from the original quote of $6,500K to an unbelievable $11,655K. This is a move to a 1600 sq ft home. Movers increased the price dramatically. They also loaded the truck 3/4 of the way and then demanded more money. We did not know what to do - our bill had ballooned out to almost double our original quote. They had our stuff on their truck. We were on a schedule. Movers also double charged us $335 for packing supplies despite the fact that we had already paid for them in the original moving quote. Greg Smith (who provided the quote) was extremely rude and unprofessional when we called to discuss the changes in charges. We could not determine a delivery date - the company forced us to contact the driver ourselves. We had to call the driver several times on his cell phone (while he was driving). Upon delivery we did a large portion of the labor. We carried a huge portion of our furniture and boxes into the house ourselves. The driver did not bring appropriate assistance. He even asked if I “knew anyone nearby who could come help.” Upon delivery, driver refused to move a large portion of our belongings into the house. Instead he left a large number of boxes outside in the garage. This was done without our consent. We had to painstakingly move our boxes ourselves, despite having paid this huge amount of money. We were forced to unwrap every single piece of furniture ourselves without assistance. We also did not receive any assistance at all with any furniture that had been taken apart. All furniture and boxes arrived covered in filth. Our belongings were transported in a trailer attached to a pickup truck, then arrived in a U-Haul that was left open – our belongings were subject to open air and dirt. When we put the box spring on the bed a huge plume of dirt puffed up into the air. The dirt even got inside the boxes and inside the furniture blankets. Damage caused by the movers includes a cracked door threshold, scratches on the hardwood floor, several plastic bins smashed (despite being new at pickup) and some contents damaged. Missing items include an oil heater.”

They quoted me "FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS" to move my things from a storage to a 2 bedroom apartment (45 mins away). I told him I was not moving a car, or out of state!!!!!!
