We had a pickup date scheduled for Friday at 9:00 AM. At 8:54 AM they called to say they won't be there, that their driver broke his hand the night before. I had taken the day off and driven 2 hours to meet them at the pickup location. They then said they would be there at 8:30 Sat morning. They finally showed up at 10:00. Then they took 2:45 mins for a 2 hour drive to pad the bill. When they unpacked, instead of putting the discarded packing material back in their truck they just left it in my driveway. You can do much better.

This was THE worst moving experience I have ever had. My items were picked up Oct 16. I did t receive them until Nov 24. Got numerous reasons why my items weren't coming. Was told they would be delivered by 10 days. They said they would have been delivered that first weekend but I told them I would be out of town Then the next time the truck broke down then the next time they thought I lived in Chicago so the delivery truck wasn't coming my way since I was 5 hours South of Chicago. Finally they got someone to deliver and it was people in a pick up truck pulling a trailer. They were fine. Called to tell me that they were going to be late. Stayed in touch. Finally got my furniture at 8pm. The people that delivered my furniture I believe were people that bid on the job. They didn't work for the company. I gave this company a review of 1 because I can't give it a zero. Run from this company!!! Use someone else!!!

WORST MOVING COMPANY! Highly DO NOT recommend!!! They promised to move us from 1-2pm , promised to assemble everything and bring a big truck to fit all of our furniture. They showed up to start moving us at 6pm with men who were not fit for the job (one with back conditions who was getting paid UNDER THE TABLE), a SMALL truck which did not fit our furniture like they promised. They winded up having to take 2 trips and tried running off with our furniture the first trip. They also left furniture outside while it was raining on my moving day. When they took off we called the manager and they were forced to come back.. they came back very rude moving my furniture in a careless manner where I found my sofa sliced by their box cutter, under my sofa was also broken pieces and found scratches on my furniture. It didn’t end there! ; The second trip they took they brang in all of my furniture carelessly, lost a large amount of screws and pieces to assemble my furniture. After promising to assemble my furniture they waited til we got distracted and took off with our reciept. They left our furniture thrown in our new apartment scattered everywhere. To add in, we fed them and after they ate they threw all of the garbage in front of the house. It took 13 HOURS for them to move my furniture and not assemble not one thing! We lost a total 36 hours of sleep with this disaster they’ve done and left behind 3 pieces of furniture that still did not fit in the truck after the 2nd trip. I would NEVER recommend these lousy, careless, uneducated LIARS! They are the worst company I have ever came across in my life.

Great moving company! Ivan and his team were amazing. Very respectful and courteous. They took special care in wrapping our furniture and were extremely cautious not to knock up against any walls. I can't comment on the price because we were a stop in between to pick up 2 queen bed sets but I can say for sure that if they were hired their price was very good. Great job guys! Thank you!

I didn’t know about Great Eastern Movers. I felt necessity to shift my home and I contracted to a moving company and paid them as advance. After discussion we fixed the schedule to move. But surprisingly one day before the schedule they informed me that due to some unexpected reasons they could not give me the service at the scheduled day. I requested them to manage somehow but they apologized. I fall in a great trouble because I had to complete this job within that day and manage another moving company. I shared my problem in my facebook profile and seeing this one of my friends referred Great Eastern Movers. I contacted them and shared my story. They sympathized me and promised to provide me special service. Just Wow to tell ! They gave that service so nicely that I became their fan and again shared the total matter in my facebook wall which was numerously like and reacted by my friends. So, I recommend this company with five star rating.

I don’t know how to give them thanks. We had a pick-up date scheduled for Sunday morning. But due to their shortcomings they informed me that they would be late to come. Ok. I managed it. Finally, they came to 1.00 pm and started to work. I was a bit angry with them at the first time, but when I saw their activities I started becoming convincing. Their working efficiency was so rich, their teamwork with each other was so nice, they dedicated themselves 100% to make me happy. And at the time when they departure from me, they apologized for their unexpected delay. So, I think it’s my moral duty to tell something positive for them. I appreciate their 5 star service and recommend my friends to choose them as their reliable moving company.

WORST service ever!!!! First they took $200 out of my account and never showed up day of moving! I had everything packed and ready then the owner Alex tells me his driver isn’t answering. And I’m the one that called him he never even followed up. I’m a single mom So me and my 3 year old had to stay in a house on a mattress on the floor. He then told me he was going to refund my $200 and I still have not gotten it has been 3 days already.... please don’t use this service guys I think they are scamming people. Thanks everyone! Horrible experience. Be very careful. I called the day before to confirm everything and long story short: They arrived hours late, sent the wrong number of men, truck disappeared for 2hrs on route to my new apt that was 15 mins away, took 2 days to move my studio apt, I had to take an unexpected day off work, broke $800 worth of my property, bad customer service. Just a nightmare.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Also known as Pay Less Moving, LLC and Moving Woodbridge. This was the worst experience with a company and a move I have ever had. This company is completely unprofessional. They arrived 6+ hours late to my move, began adding extra charges that were not agreed upon during the booking, complained about the weight of boxes and furniture (which I, a small female could lift) and the number of stairs (all disclosed during booking) then cancelled and had to come back the next day as they were “too tired” to do the job I booked them for. This forced me to take an extra day off of work with my job with severely disabled individuals. The next day they were late again. They were extremely rude, argumentative and intimidating the entire time, dishonest in my interactions with them throughout the day (hit my community’s mailbox with the truck and then lied about it, agreed on extra charges and then claimed that wasn’t the fee agreed upon then they charged even more later). Overall their attitude seemed to be annoyed that they had to work, even though I hired them to perform the job agreed upon. I spoke to the owner the first day and was hung up on and yelled at several times. They made sexual gestures and laughed mockingly while setting up my bed. They asked for tip before the job was done. At the end, I gave them tip and was then asked to double it and again they attempted to argue and intimidate me to pay more tip. The paperwork I was made to sign at the end amidst their anger and intimidation about the tip was incomplete and inaccurate as well. I attempted to resolve this issue with the company directly and was again given a “run around” in which I had to call several times over a month to try and resolve this horrendous experience. At first, the manager agreed that this should never have happened and he would help to make this right for me, then later claiming he did not know what I wanted in regard to a financial resolution, and ultimately denying my request to be at least partially reimbursed for my more than subpar services.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! SCAMMERS, SCAMMERS, SCAMMERS. especially if you are a woman, DO NOT LET THESE SEXIST, AGGRESSIVE MEN IN TO YOUR HOME. I wish I could give them zero stars. my roommate and I, both young females, used this moving service to move from one apartment in Hoboken, NJ to another apartment (4 blocks away). First, our movers showed up two hours late to our scheduled move. my roommate and I had paid city hall to put up "No Parking" signs. Since they were two hours late, our signs were no longer valid, making for no available parking spots and a waste of money. There was no warning for their late arrival. it took a series of calls, on our end, to question their whereabouts, to which we got very vague responses. when they arrived, they were unprofessional, and rude. they took a full THREE HOURS to load a VERY small 2 bedroom apartment. (15 boxes, two beds, and two dressers). One man did the moving, while the other two stood by the truck talking and looking at their phones. They constantly complained about the weight of the boxes and needing water (to which we provided for them), and after going to the store to get more water and Gatorade for them, they were still unsatisfied and RUDE. During the loading process, we were asked to pay unexpected fees for wrapping, which was originally included in our quote. They would not continue our move until we paid them in CASH ONLY (scam). They continued to complain about the weight of our boxes, which us young females had no issues carrying ourselves. they were lazy and complained the entire time. The next part of this story, is truly one of the most obscene experiences i have ever had with a professional service. We watched the truck drive away from the origin apartment at 1:15 pm. the apartment we were moving to, is 4 blocks away (a 2 minute drive on google maps). We walked to the new apartment, expecting them to be there before us, because we were on foot. When we got there, they were nowhere to be found. An hour and a half, and a dozen phone calls later, they still were nowhere to be found. Suddenly, when they would answer our multiple phone calls, they insisted that they did not understand what we were saying, and all of a sudden, were unable to communicate their whereabouts. They insisted that they were in traffic, which is simply not possible. To reiterate, it was a 4 block drive, on a VERY QUIET SIDE STREET. When they finally showed up, an hour and a half later, they insisted that they went to the wrong address, even though our address was written on multiple order forms, and we clarified it to them multiple times before leaving our home. I am not sure what they were doing in this hour and a half time frame, but we were billed for it. One of the movers came into our new apartment, and insisted that we paid him over double of what our quoted moving cost was, or else they would not take our belongings out of the truck. He was aggressive, intimidating, and made my roommate and I feel extremely unsafe and uneasy. throughout the moving process, they damaged multiple pieces of furniture, because they did not wrap anything, even after paying them extra cash to wrap. after they finally finished moving our belongings in, they stood in our home and demanded a tip. because we were terrified of these three aggressive men, my roommate and I handed them over a wad of cash, so they would leave. one of the men took our money, counted it, and laughed, saying it was not enough and he needed more. when we told him we did not have any more money, he stood in our home with his arms crossed and would not get out. we seriously considered calling 911 because we genuinely thought our safety was in danger. NO ONE should use this moving company. they are untrustworthy, unprofessional, and made our move a true nightmare.

I used this movers to move within state.. Initially when they say the flat price per hour it looks reasonable but the people who reached on the day was demanding a tip of 150$ per person and for three person somehow i agreed for 300$ tip after a long argument as that the last day of Month and i should vacate and give the Home empty.. And they are asking the Tip in advance before starting the work which is completely ridiculous.. so i paid half amount as advance and rest at last.. they keep on Bugging for tips for partially moving things..Finally i see some of the items are missing.. Company Management also not looking into this seriously.. But i cant blame them as they are sitting in office and not have any control here.. In case if you are using this Movers please take a photo of all thing when they kept inside the truck to have a proof and also have a checklist and get signed with them after loading.. Make sure you validate immediately all the things when they deliver in front of them itself.. These things i learnt from my bitter experience and hope help you to keep your things safe!!!!!!

Sent the wrong amount of guys, charged for fuel after the job was over and charged 6% more to use a credit card. The moving men caused over $1000 in damage to the walls of my brand new apartment and every single peice of furniture they touched had damage, this is after they charge you extra to wrap each peice and take a lot of time to do it to try to beef up the bill. An absolute nightmare.

Terrible experience and terrible company! Liars and extremely rude! I had to hire another company on the same day of my move. This is my experience: I hired them for a move 1 month in advance. I called on the morning of my moving day at 8am and asked about the time of arrival and I was told 9 to 10 (although when I booked it a month prior the spokesperson said 8-9). Around 9:15 am (while I was expecting the truck to arrive any minute), I received a call from Alex (spokesperson) and he said, regarding the move we had scheduled today, Im sorry to tell you its not happening! I was in a state of shock for a few seconds. He said the driver had corona virus the night before my move! I asked him, cant you send someone else? He replied, we only have two teams (although when I called the first time he said they have more than 20 trucks) and both teams are exposed to the virus! I told him I have to move and they must come up with a solution. I suggested that he should hire other movers to do the job but he said I couldn't find anyone. I told him that I will call him back and the first moving company I called had an available team. So I called Great Eastern Movers and this time I spoke with a very rude person. He said we are not hiring anyone, we are not paying the price difference and the only thing I offer is to refund your deposit (as if I needed his permission for that). I told him we had an agreement and they are liable to do the job! He replied, no there is no liability and we will not do it. He was not even apologetic when he was talking! I had to hire another company that took advantage of my situation and I ended up paying double the price of the first estimate! DO NOT HIRE THEM! They will lie to you as they did to me! If I can give them a negative star rating I would! They don't deserve one star!

I can't even give a star - they were a NO SHOW!!! - Signed contract, gave them a deposit. Same day noticed that they overbooked. The job was supposed to be for 8:00 - 10:00am - we were informed at 2:00pm that they were not coming. On top of that, they couldn't reschedule. Poor business practice!!!
