I'm happy to say that this company really came through for me, I had a last minute UN expected move and it was after hours many companies were closed I was losing my mind I had gotten a hold of David and told him my situation even though it was asking for too much at the last minute he already had a crew that was finishing up there last job, he made it possible to squeeze in my move. The guys came in and we're very presentable and kind they got me out and into my new place in no time! They disassembled my belongings, they help me label a Few boxes to make it easier for me and my son to organized and unpack. Overall GM Van lines was very good. They showed up on time with only a week notice. They packaged everything very well and it was all delivered without any damage. My only gripe is the estimate versus the final payment. I ended up paying almost 50 percent more than what I was originally quoted. Part of it was due to the amount of time it took but the one that really got me was that I got charged for extra protection for TVs. I had the TVs in the estimate but apparently that's an upcharge when the movers arrive. There is definitely a disconnect between the movers and the estimators.”

They were extremely professional, and did an amazing job wrapping with blankets to insure nothing was damaged or broken. I am a true client, and would use the company again if needed. Best staff. Fast on time. Courteous. My mamma passed. She lived in Aventura Florida. Needed to bring her whole designer furniture and whole house back to Michigan. I got so many calls and quotes I was overwhelmed. Gm Vanlines texted me. I set up an appt with the owner Oded gur to come give an estimate. He said he would b there at 12 and when I called the office in my moms gated community He was already there. We were still in Michigan. Everything he said they would do they did. 20 stars. . Not only was he prompt but said he would come the Saturday before the move and bring us boxes. He was on time brought the boxes helped us set them Up and I Can honestly say they have to b the best around. I don't care if they got any bad reviews it's bs. I am very particular and neurotic and I love the owner and his staff. It's like family . No broken furniture Careful with everything.”

Second follow-up as I hope to put this disaster behind me. Something comes up every day....pictures missing; today a Maitland Smith crystal bowl that belonged to my father and yesterday I realized that my etched glass plate, a wedding present, was gone. Totaled, there are three large cartons that belong to me which are now in someone else's home. It is a horrible, sad feeling to be taken advantage of this way with no recourse. Most of the reviews echo mine, so buyer beware and do not trust GM Van Lines in any way.”

Warning, if you use this company you will be sorry. I had a move from Fort Lauderdale to San Diego. They had told me that the trucks left straight from my home to San Diego. I called after they left because they had left about three full boxes of stuff. They didn't even bring enough boxes and Julio one of their lead movers stole the box that my oxygenator came in just a few hours prior from him taking to pack the master bedroom. Instead of coming to the storage facility I rented, they rented a different storage facility for 400 a month. I looked at the BBB website before I hired them and saw they had great reviews. After the fact they stole everything i ever had in my 57 years of life. I kept trying to settle up with them but each time they wanted more and more money. These people are not in the moving business, they are in the rip you off and destroy your stuff company. It cost me tons of money to stay at a hotel for a month until they finally said they were coming. Because of the great reviews i had read on BBB, i went back to those reviews and took a sentence or two only to find that they manipulated the BBB review site by stealing their competitors 5 star reviews making it their own. They try to flush out all the real horror stories. Even thought i proved to the BBB that their reviews were manipulated they didn't care and continue to rate the company very high. Today I am hiring an attorney. I would love to make this a class action lawsuit and shut them down.”

I would give zero stars if possible. This was the worst moving experience I've ever had. They arrived a half hour late and at the end of the day try to charge me for that half hour. They damaged almost everything I own. I caught them on many occasions dragging my furniture on the concrete. They used clear tape on laminated wood and ripped off the finish. They were supposed to take down 2 flat screen TVs but didn't bring tools. They were able to dismantle my other furniture with my tools but they didn't put any of it back together and they didn't leave the hardware for me to do it. I can't even use my bed. They refused to finish unloading my items until I paid double of what I was quoted. I am also missing a box and a set of free weights. These guys should be ashamed of themselves. They are the furthest from professional movers you could be. One guy even left a blunt, yes a blunt on my window sill.”

Never once did I hear a complaint (three story move out, two story move in) or even a deep sigh. These guys were fantastic. Our Lucite dining room table was damaged also damaged was the matching Lucite sideboard table. Our 3 piece wall unit/entertainment center mirrored section was broken. Those pieces cost $800 to be repaired. There was a lamp shade that had a hole punched in it from packing it on top of a flower arranged it was just pushed down into the box. Our clothes were not hung in wardrobe boxes because they forgot the bars so they piled them in the wardrobe boxes still on the hangers not even folded, they just dumped everything into a box including leather jackets, sports coats and evening wear which all needing pressed when unpacked. There were broken glass pieces, broken pottery pieces and broken figurines. We suffered well over $1200.00 worth of damage only asking for $800 to cover the major pieces. We contacted the owner on his cell phone and he said to send him the invoices and they would take care of it. That never happened. This was one of our worst experiences with a moving storage company. They told us that we should have taken our more insurance. We did ask if they had insurance and they told us they did,there was never a mention that we should buy additional. We asked that they only take care of the invoices for the repairs of our furniture the $800. We would drop the cost of the rest of the problems encountered. The 2 men they sent to helped unpack could not believe how poorly the items had been packed and all the damage that had been done to our furniture. They spoke to their manager David on the phone telling him how bad it was. We have pictures of the clothing thrown in boxes with small boxes piled on top and pictures of damaged furniture and figurines.”

My husband and I were extremely pleased with our recent move with GM Van Lines. The crew arrived on time and went right to work. They were very strong, able men who moved a hot tub and some very heavy machines of my husband. They professionally wrapped and taped items, disassembling those items that needed it. The trucks were carefully packed to the top. The next day the crew arrived on schedule and began unloading in 25 degree weather. Boxes were delivered to the appropriate rooms and furniture set up where we asked and carefully moved if we changed our minds. Max quickly repaired a broken cabinet leg. Mr. Gur gave our estimate in a very professional manner. He was the only one of the three movers we interviewed that gave us a printed estimate immediately. He gave my husband a veterans discount and we felt the price was very reasonable. We would definitely recommend GM Van Lines.”
