This was a great experience From the very first phone call to the very last box coming off the truck this experience has been great. Their rates are very reasonable and can't be beat. Nicole in the office did an amazing job of making sure we were well cared for and all our questions were answered. She was always prompt and quick to reply to either emails or voicemails and to make sure that my questions were answered and I felt confident and comfortable about the service I was going to receive. On the day of the move our movers Cliff and TJ could not have been more careful with our things. They asked questions when they were unsure where things should go and how we wanted things arranged in our new home. When I had a problem and was referred to John to solve an issue, he was not as responsive. He was not quick to respond or service the issue.Not having an exact day or time until a few days before the move or in some cases the day before can be stressful when there are so many other factors involved in moving to coordinate. I wish their scheduling was smoother. I still would highly recommend Glass City not only for their prices being better than all the rest but their services are head and shoulders above the others.”

Not impressed with this moving company. Late on delivery and rough with items, only put blankets around furniture and no bubble wrap, boxes and furniture (shelving unit, small table) damaged upon delivery. Also damage on front end on floor and walls. The worst part is the initial mover rushed me into signing against the moving insurance and said my homeowners policy would cover- guess what it doesn’t and I have pictures of damage for proof. I even had everything in 2 rooms for them and allowed them to put everything in the garage (my request due to no white glove service and being rough with items). Called to complain about late delivery and damage- got $100 off. That won’t cover my $2000 shelving unit and have not unpacked one box yet to see additional damage. Pick another company.”

Glass City Movers stepped in last minute (less than 24 hours) to save us after the first company our moving broker sub-contracted to dropped the ball. I cannot say enough good things about the two men, Strado and Freddy, who completed our move. They are not only extremely professional and experienced, but they are incredibly personable and took care of my elderly parents belongings like they were their own. They helped us trouble shoot numerous logistical dilemmas we encountered due to the first mover not showing, and they thought of the little things (I.e. packing the vacuum last so we could vacuum as they emptied the rooms). They worked efficiently and communicated with us extremely well the entire time. As military veterans, my father and I have had A LOT of experience with moving companies. We can both honestly say these 2 men were the best movers we've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I recently moved from OH to PA for a job relocation. For the process I used Colonial Van Lines, who contracted the move out to Glass City. My experience with Colonial was terrible, and they only received 1 star from me. But I wanted to make sure I gave Glass City their credit. Both pickup and delivery were great. The movers were a pleasure to work with both times. The only reason I am giving 4 stars rather than 5, is because my delivery was 7 days later than I was told. BUT that date was given to me by Colonial, and not directly from Glass City, so I have a feeling that Glass City was not the issue in this situation, but cannot confirm. Either way, I have decided that in the future, based on my experience with them, I would gladly contact Glass city directly rather than using Colonial as a middle man.”

We used Glass City movers recently and the things that were moved were moved without damage and the gentlemen were courteous and pleasant during moving day. They did work to try and save us money and worked hard, so for that reason I would still use them again, if needed. My complaints are below in no particular order: 1) there were many items left at our original home location, that should have been moved causing us to make 2 trips to get the rest of our stuff and haul ourselves. There were items that we were advised on move day that would not be moved, i.e pots with soil, any equipment with gasoline in it etc., but next to the pots with soil were many items that they left behind and there were boxes and additionally clothes in the house left because the estimated wardrobe boxes were all used. I am not sure how we were supposed to know how many we would need those were all calculated in the original quote. 2.) They left empty pop cans, cigarette butts and a partially opened candy. This probably bothered us the most. 3) Tips? We thought that it was odd and inappropriate that the movers asked for tips and further asked that we not add it to our credit card because "the boss will never pass it on to us". Apparently,he was asking for cash tips. 4) Things were not put in appropriately labeled rooms: such as Kitchen items found in other rooms such as a bedroom. I would recommend that you supervise closely and not expect that instructions will be consistently followed.”
