“ I found First Class Movers through Yelp and was surprised I got a quote so quickly after hours. I had a small job - moving 2 bedrooms, a living room and other odds and ends upstairs to another apartment. My couch is an oversized Henredon leather sofa that’s very hard to move. The 2 guys looked like my sons so I had doubts things would go well... I couldn’t believe how quickly they worked and that they got that huge couch through the tight entrance of the apartment which required them to navigate a sharp corner on a stairway. They smudged the wall a little and came to get me and show me the smudge. I thought that was so honorable- I’ve had other movers do MUCH worse and not say a word. This was a small smudge. Highly recommend them.”

I needed last-minute help with moving all of my things into storage (including an upright electrical piano and a ton of EXTREMELY heavy trunks). We called First Class Movers in the late morning, and were able to get day-of help. I thought it would for sure take multiple hours getting everything out and stored, but we were totally done within maybe an hour??? Incredible! Wesley was extremely professional, kind, helpful, and wonderful. If I need help moving things in New Haven again I will definitely be back. Can't recommend highly enough. “ Quick response, easy booking, one of the cheaper options I found for a small unloading job of a couple pods. Job took less than 30 minutes to move a couple heavy pieces of furniture. Everything was great, EXCEPT, I hired 2 guys/2 hours and only 1 guy showed up. Guy who showed up was awesome, super professional and helpful. However, the owner offered an extremely limited refund, even though I had to do half the work since we were lifting heavy furniture that REQUIRED 2 people. I would have expected the owner to offer a half off considering I only got half the help I needed. Extremely poor customer service.”

“ I've never written a negative review before, but this company created for me a pretty stressful situation on the day that I moved. When they first arrived to start moving we walked through the apartment and I let them know which pieces of furniture I specifically needed them to move. While they were packing up the moving truck I let them know I needed to leave to pick up the key to my new apartment. Upon coming back the truck was loaded up and they were helping my neighbor move her dresser. This normally wouldn't have bothered me, as I assumed they were done and just being nice. We drove to the new apartment and they unloaded the truck. After they left I went back to my original apartment to do some last minute cleaning and saw that they left my very heavy bookshelf. It was very stressful for me as I was about to move out and had to find a way to remove the shelf. Fortunately the new tenants said they would take it but it was very time consuming coordinating this, not to mention highly stressful as I only had a couple hours until checking out. I sent an email to this company just to let them know how stressful this way, as well as an unfortunate loss of a shelf I quite liked. I never heard from them and would have at the very least appreciated an apology. I've had friends recently ask if I'd recommend this company and I've advised them against hiring these guys. It's unfortunate because they were friendly and efficient, however I would have appreciated at the very least a response to my email.”

“ Don't do it! Trust me you will get ripped off! They will send inexperienced workers that will move slow as your bill goes up and when things are done incorrectly. The owner will get defensive and insult you. Don't pay to get insulted and ripped off. Ignore the fake positive reviews. Look at the owner's response and the insults and excuses throughout. Make your own judgment. Is this how you want to be treated and spoken to and about by someone you hire . The pictures speak for themselves. Read the other reviews that follow a similar pattern.”

“ I will start by saying the movers who assisted in the move were all fantastic, efficient, and polite. After a 4 hour move my husband and I noticed our television was broken, I reached out to the owner to convey this only to be met with defensiveness and hostility. He insisted that my television was broken prior to the move and his guys “don’t drop anything” this argument went back and forth for almost an hour until one of the movers called me himself and after clarification realized the tv had been damaged in the move. Not once did I receive an apology from the owner of this company, and had to negotiate and argue for my tv to be reimbursed. Like I said, the movers were great, but if they break any of your items be prepared to be met with hostility.”

Blame me and lied directly to my face saying it was my family fault the fireplace broke and we should have provided moving blankets. But I’m not a professional. YOU GUYS ARE. If they had asked for moving blankets we would have given them to be used. BE WARY IF ANYTHING IS DAMAGED DURING MOVE THEY WILL NOT PAY OR TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. Plenty of other companies out there.”
