I've moved a lot for school and work and my move with Yuri was by far the best. I hope to not be moving for awhile but if I do I'd definitely use them again! Yuri took the time to come to my apartment and assess my needs and give me a quote. It's important to note that there were no hidden fees upon delivery and that the flat rate he gave me was what I ended up paying. I've had movers with hidden fees who did not mention that wrapping pictures and mirrors, etc. would cost extra. Before Yuri arrived on moving day he asked me if I had extra boxes and when I said no he brought his own. He did an excellent job in securely wrapping them. Not one single piece of my belongings was broken which I was pleasantly surprised about because other companies had broken some of my things. Yuri was very professional and I felt comfortable putting him in charge of my things.”

Dear Yuri, thank you for your reply. You seem to think my review isn't fair so allow me to clarify a few things. I had our appointment window being 8-9am, so there was a miscommunication. If it was my mistake, I apologize. I agree that you did not say "if it's old/or cheap it's not our fault," which is why I didn't use quotation marks. Rather, those were the excuses you made for everything your men broke or damaged (except for the door, which you tried to minimize). The speaker stands were moved one year earlier and did not break because they were handled with care. That company broke or damaged one item (not six), took responsibility, and offered compensation. They were far more professional and pleasant to deal with than you. I have attached photos of the damages as a visual aid. That we walked through the house three times hoping to find more damage is either a ridiculous lie made up by you (you weren't there) or by your men. I doubt anyone could check everything over before the movers leave, and we didn't bother trying. Moving out of state is a very stressful experience; I would have much preferred if y'all hadn't damaged or broken anything, but the least you can do when you do is take responsibility rather than argue and make excuses. Yuri's responsiveness and professionalism during the walk through, and the competitive quote. Unfortunately, the professionalism did not extend during the actual move. They arrived 45 minutes after the time window we were given, which I don't hold against them because we needed the extra time to pack. If we had been ready, I would have been upset. Items were not handled with care, resulting in a broken speaker stand, broken storage tub lid, and dent in a door's molding. One of the movers was constantly on his hands-free phone, leaving me to guess whether he was talking to me or the person on the other line. I'm glad I didn't have children to hear the language he was using. Granted, he may have talked differently if there were kids around, but he shouldn't have been on his phone making personal calls in the first place. On the plus side, they were hard working and efficient. My main reason for giving two stars was how they handled our damaged property. During the walk through, Yuri told us that when something is damaged, he likes to work with the customer to come to an agreement on the value of the damage and avoid going through insurance. At the end of our move, I brought up the damaged items. The mover explained that the speaker stand wasn't their fault, because the matching speaker stand had cracks in the plastic bracket; therefore, the speaker stand they broke must have had cracks too. That's a fair possibility, but even if it did have cracks, perhaps if it were handled more carefully it wouldn't have broken. I watched one of the movers holding fragile boxes over his shoulder - he was not handling things with the care I would expect. After the mover refused to compensate us for the speaker stand, we asked to speak to Yuri. Yuri took the same position, explaining that if something is old and/or cheap, it's not their fault if it breaks. I've got a lot of old and/or cheap things in my house, and I paid 1st Atlantic to insure them all, so I expect compensation. After some tense back and forth, Yuri finally offered $20 off to make up for the damaged items, which I accepted as fair (to me, it's not just about the cost of replacement/repair, but also the hassle). If Yuri had expressed some empathy and made the offer sooner, rather than dismiss my concerns, I'd be a more satisfied customer, but his combative approach - especially after the assuring walk through - was really a turn off. This would be a 3- or 4-star review if not for that. After the movers left we noticed two more damaged items - a gash in a wooden bookshelf and a broken trash can lid. Oh well.”
