The guys arrived at our house at 8am. The driver was Mike and had Jerry and Norman as helpers. Once they got started they brough moving blankets in the house and started wrapping all items as promised. I was a little surprised by how they wrapped everything. i didn't think it was necessary. We had a baby crib that was taken aprt and wrapped and was put together. Overall they were pretty good and we had no problems”

I had a problem with another company I hired the day before the moving day. I panicked without knowing what to do but I was very lucky to find Family Movers Express!!! Nick made sure that the moving would be completed on time next day and gave me the flat rate of $390( 2 hours maximum , 2 people with a truck to a storage unit 2miles away). You get 10% discount if you pay cash!! On the day of moving, Kevin and Andrew arrived exactly on time. They were very very friendly and courteous. They made sure that everything were protected by the cover the brought. They were very fast but at the same time, they were really fast. They never wasted time. I had such a wonderful experience with them that I would request these two gentlemen when I need to move again in next February and June!! Thank you Nick, Kevin and Andrew! Well here I sit at 4:30 in the afternoon waiting for the movers to arrive. I have moved four times in the past 5 years and I will tell you do not be fooled by this companies "lower rate". This morning they were two hours late and arrived in a Budget Rental truck not a truck with their name on it. I had three rooms of furniture (less than 1200 feet). Two of the men had no clue and the one who knew what he was doing had to go and take everything the other two put in out of the truck and repack it. I was so disgusted that I just left them there with half of my furniture on the sidewalk. Then to top it off when we complained Nick our rep called and was not very pleasant. Things are in the truck uncovered save yourself now and call Two Men and a Truck. They moved me last year and were great!!! Family movers does not even earn the one star I had to give them. I can't imagine what is going to happen when they finally arrive.”

Hired them to move my parents. The leader of the crew took multiple breaks while the other two men kept working and didn’t know where he was. He then came back smelling strongly like marijuana. He was also careless with their furniture and did not put their bed together properly and it fell in. The other two men were wonderful and should definitely be put with a better lead man. Additionally they were arrived an hour and a half after the LATEST time they told us they would arrive and did not call us to give an update. We had to call and check in and they still an hour later than they told us they would be. It was just ridiculous and there was ZERO apology or compensation from the office. They were awful to deal with. Just save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.”

Family Movers kept my items in storage for 11 months from another moving company. I choose them because they offered better storage rates. By transferring to their facilities I apparently absolved them of all responsibility for damages. Items they were previously wrapped were delivered WITHOUT blankets, leaving me to question if they were also stored that way. A bed was transported and placed upside down leaving major damage on all 4 bedposts. This was pointed out to the delivery people, very easy for management to confirm. I documented a broken table I also noted they used tables to place heavy boxes on top of, thus putting undue stress on the furniture. After having paid them almost $4000 they apparently feel it is not in their interest to protect their reputation and ensure the good will of a customer to offer any compensation whatsoever. Nearly everything they delivered had damage. They did not call me back after photos were sent. Had to keep calling them for a status. It should be noted I took early delivery as a courtesy because they were losing their rented vault space, thus making me put everything in a temporary garage. If you want an ethical company I would recommend you look somewhere else.”

The staff sent to do my move were complaining of the work amount, even though their office knew a month in advance. The movers were lazy, and mostly on their cellphone raking up time, therefore costing us more money. I truly feel bad for the young kid who mostly did all the work, me helping him, even though , I hired them to do the job. The older male was lazy and on his cell phone 70% of the time. Sincerely don’t recommend this company at all, you’ll regret it.”
