Fallon Moving & Storage Reviews

One of the best moving companies around.
- Jesus Cruz

The entire experience was a nightmare. They did not come in my old home to assess the furniture, instead asked questions at the door. When moving day came, they showed up completely unprepared. The movers were really slow, so the estimated 8 hour move turned into 12 hours. Had to leave work early to check on why the move was going so slow. Called and complained but no one came out to check on the movers. Be sure to get all their pricing and policies up front, like $115 to pack and unpack each TV, which is ridiculous. Also their time traveling to and from your home counts towards their estimate. The whole experience was just added to the stress of purchasing a new home and made us regret ever calling this company. I wish zero stars was an option.

We recently moved from Connecticut to Nevada. I could not be more pleased with the service and professionalism of Fallon Moving Company. Jessie in the front office was outstanding- she answered all of my concerns throughout the process. Thank you to Fallon Movers.
- Christine Bruemmer

Fallon Moving & Storage was outstanding from the initial call for a quote to the completion of our move. They were reasonably priced and very attentive to our needs. The crew that was assigned to us was polite, courteous, professional, hard working, extremely careful and well thought out when placing our belongings in storage. We will definitely be using them again when our new home is ready.

Great service and great people!
- Jonathan Rosario

Used Fallon for an in-state move of our house and two storage units to our new house about 30 minutes away. A six man crew and two trucks had it done in less than 8 hours. Great company to deal with and they treated all our stuff like Fabrege Eggs!

Update: Over a week later we are still missing our furniture. When I called to let Fallon know about my service experience I was interrupted and told that they won't know who our drivers are and hopefully we get someone else. They had no interest in listening and took no time to assure me that they would provide a better experience in the future.

Fallon was delivering mattresses for our new home. Their automated system provided a two hour window a few days before. The day of their automated message again called to say they were a half hour away. I was out of town so I had people at the home to receive the delivery. They watched as the driver pulled up looked at our driveway and drove on. I immediately called the home office to ask what happed. They said the driver took a picture of the driveway and said he couldn't make it up. I explained we had people at the house and they had a pick up truck and could come down to the driver. They couldn't reach their driver so they said we would need to reschedule. So despite me being fully prepared Fallons lack of communication and a properly trained staff means no mattresses for us in our new home. As I tried to figure out a constructive solution customer service hung up on me. I also noticed they redirect all negative reviews to FMS saying it is a separate company. Below from their website certainly seems like one company to me. Fallon Moving & Storage, Inc provides customized Final Mile Service (FMS) to meet your company's unique last mile delivery requirements. We have the equipment, movers and full-scope capabilities to ensure professional local shipping and delivery of your items. With our full-service commercial moving and storage sister company, Commercial Moving Services, LLC (CMS), we can exceed your delivery expectations.

Horrible people and customer service. My delivery was scheduled for 2-4pm on Christmas Eve. Guarantee delivery and installation. Waited until after 6pm. Called multiple times and left messages when the package wasn't delivered. Automated message called at 6:13pm saying they were 15 minutes away. Rushed home again leaving Christmas and the drive was turning off our street at 6:27pm. Called to see if it could be rescheduled. I was originally told the 7th. They won't deliver it until the 31st which we are out of town during that time. They are not willing to help us out at all with their mistake. Terrible customer service. Just disappointing. We are having our order cancelled.

Recently used Fallon and Moving for the 3rd time and things have not changed. Great friendly service very professional and would absolutely use them again. Great family owned and Veteran owned. Great and easy to do business with.

If you want to have your valuables significantly damaged due to careless packing and rushed, inadequately staffed loading and unloading, use Fallon. If you want to be charged final costs that are THOUSANDS of dollars higher than originally estimated, use Fallon. If you want to reassemble furniture yourself that you were told would be reassembled by the movers, use Fallon. If you want to move boxes and furniture to the correct places (not even the right floors in many cases...the heaviest boxes were just left in the garage!) because the movers carelessly put the items in the wrong places (despite thorough instruction and clear labeling), use Fallon. If you want to find furniture outside in the rain as you watch the moving truck start to pull away, use Fallon. If you want to be told, curtly and disrespectfully, that you must pay their egregious excesses before they will a) deliver your goods or b) even talk with you about your damage claim, use Fallon. If when you complain, you want to be treated belligerently and called names, from even the owner himself, use Fallon. If you want to find evidence (empty cans, bottles, etc.) indicating that the movers helped themselves to your beer/alcohol while they were unloading your goods, use Fallon. If you want runaround after runaround as you pursue your damage claim, use Fallon. FACT: Every single one of these things happened, without exaggeration, in my move with Fallon. If you want quality, competence and professionalism, use another firm. AVOID THIS COMPANY. To be clear, my dealings with Atlas Van Lines directly were entirely responsive and professional. The above facts relate only to Fallon.

I never leave reviews but this was such an unacceptable experience. The delivery guys came two hours before the window and then lied and said they came then and then during the window. I was home in the front room the entire "window" with my two dogs who would have barked, but he insisted he came then... yet I never heard him and he never left a message besides during the time he attempted two hours outside the window. Definitely do not use them and I'm sorry for you if you have no choice, as was the case for me, because it was for a delivery from a furniture company.

Moving is never easy, but the experience we had with Fallon Moving and Storage helped take the load off. First, we had the initial walk through and estimate with Steve. He was very professional and up to date with his digital program to efficiently inventory what stayed, what got moved, and what got stored. Then, on packing day we had the talented team of Leroy, Shawn and Isaiah. They were on time, very friendly, and were careful and thoughtful about everything they packed. They left us our mattress so we had something to sleep on, then picked it up in the morning before they made the delivery to our new place. The delivery went great too. The team was helpful in making sure everything got into the right rooms and that I was happy with where the furniture was placed. The pieces they put back together were done with care and there was not one thing damaged in the move or set up. We would highly recommend using Fallon Moving and Storage, as they were highly recommended to us!! My only concern is that I wish there was a way they could reuse some of the boxes and paper. It seems so wasteful (yet necessary). Maybe have some buy/give back system.

Do Not Every Use Fallon Moving And Storage. I would also give them a zero stars if I could. I have to start this off by saying..STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM FALLON MOVING & STORAGE, ACE WORLDWIDE, and ATLAS VAN LINE.Fallon along with Atlas Van Lines are the worst company to work with.. They do not want to do anything except steal from customer and damage all the goods they are being contracted to move.In December I sold my home. I asked my realtor for the name of a mover. He stated that another client just used your company so I hired Fallon Moving of Windsor, CT who represents Atlas. My son wanted me to use another company, however, I told him I had already agreed to use Atlas. Your representative Skip Akerlind was a good salesman (a smooth operator), however, your company did not live up to what was sold me. They told me my furniture would be shrink wrapped and covered in blankets. That never happened! This was only the beginning of my nightmare and moving disaster. I set the date for my move for 12/21/13. First of all, I had them pack some of my belonging on 12/20/13 and on 12/21/13 the ACE truck arrived-----the truck had other loads on the truck and did not have enough room on the truck for my furniture----My closing date for my house was scheduled for 12/23/13---I asked them to get another truck and told them I must be moved on this date. They did nothing to help me get this accomplished. My closing was 12/23/13 and I was flying out that day. I refused to sign the contract as it was null and void for breach of contract. Your company did not deliver what was agreed upon. Can you imagine how upset I was!! I was to be moved on 12/21/13 and the cleanup of my house was going to be on 12/22/13 and I would be ready for my closing on 12/23/13. This did not happen. They refused to help me. They wouldn’t do anything because 12/22/13 was a Sunday and they didn’t work on Sunday’s. Fallon Moving could not even be reached….I couldn’t get any help from anyone….I even called Mr. Akerlind at home, but to no avail. They instead showed up the morning of my closing (it was raining), the buyers also showed up and refused to close. Today it was Fallon’s truck that arrived. They did not shrink wrap my furniture nor did they even cover it. (remember it was raining and muddy).During the course of the time they were there I found them stealing items from my donation boxes (items to be given to local charities) instead of doing their job of moving. Little did I know they would be stealing many of my own personal items as well. They did not leave my house until after 4 PM----I had a flight to reach at 6PM---My closing couldn’t take place and I had to pay people to clean my house, clean my carpets, have my garbage removed and my donations delivered to the local charities. This was not my only nightmare….The morning of the move my son had found that his I-Pad was stolen and my furniture was being delivered to my destination in (2) trips…(1) by ACE and the other one I don’t know who. One arrived on December 31, 2013 and the other one on January 21, 2014. For each delivery my son and I met the trucks on arrival and checked each piece of furniture and delivered/or not delivered items. All of my furniture was Ethan Allen furniture (very good furniture). Well when it arrived all of the furniture was either ruined or stolen….My furniture was real wood and not press board and should never have been delivered in the condition that it appeared. (My home was a show place for other realtors). This is not the end of my story……Due to my pain and suffering I was incapacitated for over (2) months…Since this happened, I have disputed the charges on my American Express card and your company apparently was lied to by Fallon as they gave you phony or doctored up documents regarding the dates and whiting out where I refused to sign with my statement for breach of contract. This company need to put out of business for the complete lack of professionalism, and negligence while moving. Ray Fallon should also learn how to talk to consumers.ONCE AGAIN I WOULD NOT SUGGEST EVER USING THIS COMPANY.
- Ken Weaver

I can't begin to tell everyone how incredible family moving took care of us. They are awesome!! Dont waste time calling other movers and paying trip charges. They are the best.
- Mike Stevens

Terrible. We recently moved out of our home and needed to store our furnishings for a couple weeks before moving into our new home. Thankfully our initial move went ok. A few minor hiccups but nothing to complain about there. The move from storage into the new home however was marginal at best. Boxes were placed in rooms at convenience rather than as requested and labeled. Most of the items that were disassembled for the move were not reassembled. My wife was told the child’s bed was too difficult to figure out and I was told that they didn’t disassemble it so they weren’t reassembling it. They had disassembled it and refused to put it back together. The final bill was significantly higher than the quote. Many calls to discuss the final billing went unanswered and the ultimate answer was sorry but it is what it is. Maybe this is an industry standard but I’d look elsewhere for help with a move.
