“ Okay, you really don't know me and how fussy I am - Felix (from Oscar & Felix fame) pales compared to me. But I have to tell you how truly professional, polite, quick & efficient Slava, the Team Leader, and Alex were moving my son from southern NH back to Northern Westchester including a drop off at a Storage Facility in White Plains all in one day as promised and as quoted with no hidden fees! To give you an idea, the drive is approximately 3 hours each way by car and if 6+ hours driving back and forth in one day does not exhaust you, perhaps when you read that Slava & Alex woke up at 3 AM to drive from Brooklyn to Greenwich where they picked up the truck. They were in NH before 9 AM, dismantled furniture, packed, padded, bubble wrapped, & shrink wrapped all the furniture including a 65" Flat Screen TV and a Glass Top Hi Top Table for the drive back to Westchester. They completed the packing in under 3 hours for a 1 Bedroom Apartment and we left NH around 12 Noon. They pulled into my driveway at 3:45 PM. Everything was off loaded that was staying and then we went to the Storage facility in White Plains. Everything arrived safe and sound without any damages, Time finished: 5:30 PM. All I can say is Elate Movers is more ELITE MOVERS with White Glove Champagne Service with very competitive "Beer" pricing. Buy your boxes at Home Depot and pack and bubble wrap your personal stuff so you are not in the way of these professionals on Moving Day. Let them do the work they truly know how to do as good or better than anyone else I have seen. Elate Movers is my "Go To Movers" should the need arise. You can hire them and rest easy - they know what they are doing and they do it well!!”

“ Just had my second move in only 4 months with Elate following a full home renovation. Service was impeccable - everything was kept in perfect shape, even after moving from apartment to storage then back in a short time. Friendly staff, asks lots of questions before wrapping, unloading, etc. Very helpful in putting things in the proper location (heavy stuff!). This was a tough job. The first move was the day after a snowstorm dumped 18" of snow on the ground. They didn't cancel, didn't complain, and still did the job in a VERY efficient manner. What's more amazing was that no furniture had any damage from the snow. Second, it was 2 stops - temp apartment, 4th floor walkup in manhattan - and they still were done on time. I don't think these guys take breaks, it just kept moving and moving. We were done so early on the move back that we were able to start unpacking after lunch. 5 stars all the way, would recommend this company to anyone.”

“ I just moved from Westchester County, New York to southern Florida, and used Elate for the move. From beginning to end, the experience was first-rate. The price I was quoted was the price I paid. No request I made was too big, even when I told them that I wanted my stuff picked up on a Thursday and delivered the following Monday (to give us time to drive down to Florida and meet them at the new place). Both at pick-up and delivery, Vladimir Q and his crew arrived precisely 15 minutes early, and were in and out of the apartments in less than three hours. I saw the care they took in wrapping our possessions, and carefully labeled each box they packed so we'd be able to find things easily. They even let me inventory our packed boxes TWICE at delivery, just to satisfy myself that everything was actually there. Very courteous and professional. I had reached out to multiple moving companies and Nick from Elate was the first to respond and gave me the most transparent break down of pricing which was something that none of the others did (and the quote was very reasonable). He called to confirm the arrival time of his team and our packing needs 24 hours prior. So organized! But what really amazed me was the day of. David B. and his team came in like a hurricane and packed my entire apartment up in record time with incredible efficiency and care. We had a lot of delicate items and the way I saw them packing them, my mind was at ease about them getting to their new home safely. They stuck to their estimated timeline to a T and went above and beyond in every way. Before David and his team started packing, he sat us down and explained exactly how the day was going to go, breaking down price, what kind of boxes would be used for specific items and asked us questions about our packing preferences. As for the packing itself, dinnerware was protected, items of similar kind were wrapped together, and they maximized their use of boxes which was very much appreciated since they were additional in cost. Following my review, Elate reimbursed us $249.21 for the night we spent in a hotel due to their late arrival and compensated us for the four hours of labor my fiance had to put in. While the company did follow through with this small attempt to improve the situation, the gesture does not outweigh the negative experience and lack of professionalism we experienced during our move for more than $6,000 out of pocket.”

“ Energetic and polite, this team of four helped us with a two-block apart move between two five-story walk ups and got the job done in 4.5 hours (2bd apt). Everything arrived safely and they were transparent about the pricing. Only one complaint -- 20 minutes after they said they were driving the furniture over, we saw them standing around drinking Starbucks. They quickly got moving again when they saw us. The loading of goods in NYC and unloading of goods in Montreal was as painless as it could be...given the extremely rushed circumstances. “ Best movers I've ever used. Nick Miller from Elate Movers called and suggested a FaceTime Quote. Wow, such a good idea. No waiting around for someone to show for an in house quote. And no need to make an inventory list. The FaceTime quote took about 11 minutes. Disaster! The original move date was impossible. I called Elate and asked if we could change the date. Nick Miller changed the date for no extra charge. Changing the move date really help me out. Dymtro and his team of four arrived 10 minutes early. The team packed and moved my one bedroom apartment in 2 hours 8 mins. I was very surprised at their speed. They definitely have a system. Better to stay out of their way and let them do the work. On arrival, the guys were very helpful in placing the furniture and boxes. The final bill was exactly as quoted. The contract stated a flat fee. And that's what I was charged. I had heard about surprise charges from other companies. I was charged the flat fee and nothing more. I would say this was the best part. I do have a heads up. Have a cashier's check on the move date. If you use a credit card, there is a 4% surcharge. Avoid the surcharge with a cashier's check. I have no complaints. If you want to avoid headaches, this is the company to choose.”

“ I was suspicious when I first encountered Elate on yelp and read the reviews. So many movers RELY on fake reviews on their websites and yelp. And I'd never seen movers with this high of a rating. I've been burnt by movers before, so I was doubly suspicious. And I'm here to say that I was (gladly) wrong to be. From start to finish, Elate made the stressful process of moving as much of a joy as it can be. They gave me a quote, and unlike pretty much any other mover out there, did not charge me a cent more than that initial quote. (And it was a great quote/price compared to other movers I contacted who would then tack on long haul fees, and stair fees, and claim you had items they didn't plan for). I moved out of the New York area, but should I ever decide to move back, I would hire Elate again without hesitation, and that's honestly the highest praise I think I could give movers.”
