I have a hard time believing these 5 star reviews are legit. Here is the truth STAY AWAY there is a reason they charge by the hour. I called, told them moving from 2 story home to a 2 story home. Told them I just moved here and it took 2 10x20 trucks. (I moved to a temporary location to my final location in a 7 week window) The movers that brought me down to Florida and moved me into my first location did it in under a day, that included reassembling furniture. They were young strong and sprinted up and down stairs, prepared with their own water/lunch and in complete sync. They didn't scrape one wall executing flawlessly. Door to Door show up and the 2 movers started to complain immediately saying "damn, how we gonna move this" "this is too much stuff, we can't move this" . THe sent another truck an hour later. Of the 4 movers all were old and unfit and if they moved any slower they would walk backwards. They argued continuously were not insync as if it were the first time they moved furniture, they had no idea what they were doing. They lost parts to the furniture they were to reassemble and did it half way, yet I am finding parts and pieces all over the house. One guy kept disappearing 30 min on end, his co workers would say "where you been, on another break". We ended up having to jump in and help with the move, after 12 hours in , yes 12 hours for a job that I was told by the previous mover one day tops since everything was in boxes, we just had them put the boxes in the garage and we are now still digging out, moving the boxes to the appropriate rooms, buying hardware to replace the fixtures they lost so we can reassemble the furniture to say nothing of the fact they damaged the walls of the previous location. You can not find worse than this outfit, you are not saving a dime, stay away, all Maggie, the owner would say is "they are professional movers" and "you picked us (insinuating it is my fault)". Disgraceful way to run a business and take advantage of people simply shameful and disgraceful,”

The absolute worst. If I could rate less, I would. I have used this service before and they showed... The absolute worst. If I could rate less, I would. I have used this service before and they showed up a little late but did a pretty good job. My experience with Apartment movers over this past weekend was the WORST move I have EVER experienced. I work in logistics so I know firsthand how things should work in this department. The crew was scheduled to show up between 12-3pm. At 1pm, I called to get a better time frame and was still given 12-3 which I was fine with but around 3:30 I called again. The "owner" Maggie was unable to reach the crew but said she would have them call once she spoke with them. Two guys finally showed up about at 4:55pm in the moving truck. They looked exhausted. One of the guys was a younger, well-built guy and the other was quite a bit older. He should definitively have not been working for a moving company. The younger one did a great job, constantly moving. The other (probably in his 60's) took his time, carrying the lightest things possible. I overheard the guys saying they had another job after mine. At this point, it was dark out and it had been 4 hours. The crew mentioned they hadn't eaten all day and I offered to get them food but they said they wanted to finish because they were behind. I began to realize I would need to help them if we ever wanted to get this job done. Once we arrived to the new house, I started unloading things and was lapping the older gentleman, who was carrying the lightest things possible again. He asked me to carry the larger pieces of furniture and continued to carry the light items. I heard one of the guys on his phone saying he didn't have any minutes left on his phone (guessing he was talking to the owner. The icing on the cake was when we called Maggie to complain about how it took way to long and they should have sent out a better crew. Maggie said it wasn't her fault and "MAYBE I SHOULD TALK TO JESUS ABOUT IT". As the owner of a moving company, it is YOUR responsibility to ensure the entire crew is fit to complete the job at task. It is also YOUR responsibility to supply your crew with topped up phones so that you are able to inform your customers of updated time frames or if they will be running late. I was unhappy with the whole move aside from the who guy who worked the hardest. He should leave Maggie's "company" ASAP.”

If you want to pay money to be treated poorly, this company is for you. Otherwise, don't. Owner Maggie is the rudest, unprofessional business owner I've ever talked to. The way she talkes to you make you feel like you are bothering her. Movers showed up almost 2 hours late, and when I asked them to speed it up (since they were late and I had something else needed to get done), they told me "this is the way we do things". Before the movers showed up, I had to call Maggie 2x, she knew the movers were running late, but didn't even have the decency to call to let me, the paying customer know. I could go on and on, but my advise to you is to stop looking at this company but move on. There is something seriously wrong about the way they treat their customers. I am just glad they will never see another penny from me.”

My boyfriend and I needed help unloading a UHaul for a move that we needed last minute. The representative on the phone got back to me quickly, and was able to book us something for the next day The movers called before they were on their way over and when they arrived. They moved everything quickly and none of my furniture was damaged / no damage to the interior of my apartment. They brought a couple dollys and other moving equipment as well. They got everything done within an hour even going up to the 3rd floor. Pricing was affordable, we were very impressed with their service and would recommend to anyone in the Jacksonville area! 🙂”

We were highly satisfied with Door to Door Movers. Maggie was very easy to deal with and responded right away while we were booking our move at the last minute. I was charged exactly what they quoted me -- no other fees or charges. The guys showed up right on time and were very polite throughout the long move (we had a lot of stuff, including boxes of books, an adjustable bed frame, and a heavy, steel frame couch). We felt bad since we were on the third floor with no elevator, but they never complained once. Even after 6 hours of moving, they never complained or stopped working for a minute. They took great care with our stuff and didn't break or damage a single thing. The price was extremely reasonable and the best out of all the quotes we received. I highly recommend this honest local business.”

Extremely unprofessional. I set up movers for a family member as a gift. I spoke directly with Maggie about payment. It was clear and agreed upon that I would be covering the first 2 hours with the card on file and my family will be able to pay with their form of payment if time exceeded 2 hours. The move took 3 hours. Movers were going to follow my family to the new apartment (which they also had the address for) but took a detour, got lost and my family had to physically find them and direct them to the location. This resulted in ~30 minutes of lost time. After the move was complete, Maggie called to inform me that she would just put the total amount owed for 3 hours to the card on file. When I told her it was not ok to charge my card and reminded Maggie of our agreement, she told me to get the money for the extra hour back from my Father, Mother or whoever. Absolutely unacceptable and rude. Meanwhile my family was giving cash for the extra hour directly to the movers. I'm guessing Maggie felt I was trying not to pay for the extra hour or just didn't have the money. Not the case, we had an agreement and she chose to break that and charge my card for an unauthorized amount. BAD BUSINESS!!”

DO NOT HIRE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE VERBALLY ABUSED!!! I hired this company to move a refrigerator for me. We had already removed the doors on the fridge and all they had to do was move it from our garage and into my daughter-in-law's kitchen. When we arrived and they tried to fit the fridge through the door they realized it wouldn't fit because of the pieces sticking out that the doors attach to. My husband suggested they take the door off the hinges, which would have let them fit it through perfectly, but they chose to shimmy it through the doorway. In the process they put two holes and one longer gash in the vinyl sheet flooring. I called the company immediately upon realizing what they had done and texted pictures of the damage to Maggie. She called me back and said they'd give me a $45 discount to which I responded no, I told her I needed to get an estimate to fix the flooring. I received an estimate from The Carpet Man company for $350 because the floor is one vinyl sheet...not pieces as Maggie insisted. When I called her to let her know I had the estimate she got very rude with me and said she wanted to talk to the person who gave me the estimate. I forwarded his email to her along with the estimate and almost immediately got a return call from her being extremely belligerent to me, wouldn't let me talk, accused me of threatening her (which never happened) and then said she was going to charge me now for the $45 discount amount. I would not hire this company under any circumstances!!! The treatment from Maggie alone would be reason enough but on top of that I am now left having to fix the damage they caused.”
