Before we started, our founders had been working in moving and storage industry and had an opportunity to witness that a lot of San Diego movers just did not care about customers and provided low-quality service at an extremely high price. So, they saw the opportunity to make the difference. When we began, we started small, just two guys, an old moving truck and an ambitious plan to become the best moving company that people would trust. From the very first move, our mission is to provide service that would make each customer completely satisfied. As a result, just a few months later we already had referred customers and good reviews online. A year later our past client would hire us again, we were getting more referrals, and more client reviews. Realizing that demand for our services is growing, we bought more trucks, hired more people, trained them to provide service the right way. “ We were quoted for 4 worker, but only 3 showed up. The initial estimate was 4-5 hours (for a 1600 sqt condo), but we ended up paying ~$1300. The movers were hard working; I guess 3 of them are just not as efficient as 4 of them so they can paired up. When moving furniture, one of them would have to wait around. Nevertheless, no complaints on the movers. As they moved the piano, a tile was broken by the cart they used, and what happened next was why I wouldn’t recommend Dominant Moving to anyone. On the initial quote, I confirmed with them about the piano and the insurance coverage. As you paid them and signed on their Ipad, INSURANCE WAS WAIVED; and you AGREED that there’s no liability if you ask them to move anything over 100 pounds. We asked for $100 discount because of the accident, and long hours, as we have to dealt with the landlord about the broken tile. Never knew they’d get away from the responsibility of the damaged floor. IT IS WRONG, Roman.”

“ Don't use this moving company! Upon arrival it wasn't communicated to the packers that they were packing my apartment. They didn't have enough supplies to pack my apartment, so I had to go purchase boxes. The lead gentleman, Dennis, and I conducted a walk through. Everything that was to be packed was laid out, and the packers were given specific instructions on ALL rooms to include the storage unit located on my balcony. They took 6 hours to pack a 1/1 apartment! While packing my white fabric bedroom furniture it was not wrapped in any sort of protection(common sense), and when they moved the furniture down stairs my headboard was resting on it's side on the street (it's white! ). A final walk through was not completed, and I was quickly urged to sign documents, so the movers could leavek it took 6 hours after all). I moved across the country, and once I got to my final destination, I discovered that the packers didn't pack HALF of my storage unit. (how was only half packed?) When I tried reaching the company to file a claim, I kept getting the run around. After about 2 weeks of attempting to contact management, I finally received a response. I was told that since the paperwork was signed, the company was not responsible for the packer's negligence. I was offered $50 to ship half of my storage closet, which is going to take about $500 to ship. I never received this so called check, and I plan to file a civil suit on this company. No costumer should be treated this unfairly/unprofessionally”

“ HERE is a moving company like no other, and to prove it I used them TWICE, occurring a year apart. So sit down with a cup of tea or coffee and be prepared to read a bit...convince yourselves there truly exists a local (San Diego), reliable, honest moving company offering far, far less stress than you might otherwise imagine. Here is my personal experience: During my first move in January 2018, DOMINANT MOVING COMPANY's Vlad and Alex moved not only the tons of very fragile stuff I'd carefully packed but also two heavy roll-top desks, a teak filing cabinet, an old fashioned ball & claw oak table/chairs, queen bed, a 7'x5' solid wood bookcase/entertainment center, an 8' wood-framed couch, and last but not least my mother's smallish zebrawood cradenza with a 1" solid marble top. NOT A DENT, not a scratch, not a chip on anything. And best, nothing broken. But the kicker is this: The couch had to be cautiously slid down from my apartment's outside entrance...from the THIRD FLOOR down FOUR flights of narrow concrete steps. Yet Vlad & Alex were unfailingly gracious and polite despite looking like (to me) a couple of massive Russian bouncers. Keep in mind those three stories up required a cumbersome elevator, which could not accommodate my couch, hence the stairs. I go into such detail because 2018 was incredibly stressful for me, and once again I found myself having to move...alone and in my mid 70s. Calling DOMINANT MOVING was a no-brainer since they already felt solid and familiar...and Roman the manager even went against policy (which I was unaware of) to move my huge plants, since they had moved them all the year before. And now in 2019 I had some "extras," like a 2' x 4' glass coffee table plus a 50" TV. THIS time I had the pleasure of collaborating with movers David and Javier. AGAIN the 8' couch had to go by way of the apartment's outside concrete steps...with the two of them approximately half the size of the "Russians" in 2018. Again, DOWN this time three stories via the same elevator with the rest of my 2-bedrm/2-bath belongings. But David & Javier were still marvellously fast, moving me into my new ground floor address from the one three stories up, in addition to my having them re-position heavy pieces several times. No problem. Sometimes David & Javier seemed more like quick shadows...quiet, focused, yet sweetly good-natured. I was so heartfelt grateful to have them...and grateful to manager Roman Pyanzin, who patiently acquiesced to all my tiring client picadillos and odd requests, including changing my original move date two or three times. No arguments, miscommunications OR damage. And cost was appropriate to our agreement, all fees clearly stated up front prior to the final move date, with no extra charges except for a standard additional hour deemed mutually necessary. Godspeed your next move, folks! Now you have a choice.”

“ I thought I forgot about my unhappy moving experience last year until I saw their truck stopped in our community today. I hope today their client can feel happy about the experience, since when I moved last year with them, it was an almost awful memory. I moved from one bedroom one bathroom apartment (2F) to my current apartment (1F) which is only two blocks away. I prepackaged and I did a lot of moving work by myself including moving packages and small furniture. Still, although the quotation was about 3+ hours, finally it was over 7+ hours and I participated in the moving procedure for almost all these 7 hours. The movers assigned to me were young; I guess it was their part-time jobs for extra money for school. They worked slower than the other movers I previously hired from other moving companies in east coast and northern California; and they walked slower than me. I was exhausted moving packages and they told me “great job!” I felt sad because I had to move faster because they did not do a great job... Several small things were missing on the way and one light was broken. I still paid tip and totally the bill was about $700+. The worst experience and the most expensive ever so far. I tried to remind them to walk and work faster but they complained that because I did not live in a house and most of their clients are living in the house so that they could move faster and don’t need to walk! There were stairways/shortcuts, but they would rather detour to take elevators even with empty hands. I wish I could totally forget about this; however, once I saw their truck today under my window, I still felt the bad feeling I suffered last year.. The owner sounds like a good man and he compensated me for the broken light, that is why I add one star. I hope it was because of the movers I was assigned to did not feel well that day; otherwise, their working load/billable methods are not very professional.”

“ This sorry company has taken my money and walked away. I had hired Dominant Moving Company to move my 700 sqft. studio to a storage unit. I had pre-boxed and wrapped my belongings before hand. The movers knowingly moved my heavy two piece tool box and only used one 1" strap to "secure" it. The toolbox fell over and damaged itself and my smoker grill. After having to pull teeth on the phone for Roman to email me acknowledging the incident by his movers, I paid up. Roman has declined to respond to my multiple emails and gave no sense of care when I called asking to resolve this issue quickly as I was moving out of state. The "4 days" to reply as stated by Roman has far passed and still I have heard nothing. Also for the movers themselves, apparently no one has told them fastest way from point A to B is a straight line as I watched multiple times the slow movement of my furniture get taken for a stroll on the dolly halfway around the parking garage as if my ottoman needed a walk. Secondly paying for a timed service should not include your movers stopping for a drink between locations.”

They owner roman pyanzin sent the 2 movers to my house named manny-manuel lemon and steffon nutall. I noticed while unpacking both of my game consoles are missing all controllers to both devices, laptop, 2 ipads, camera, singing bowl, kitchen knife set, beat headphones, laptop bag, backpack. The owner asked me to hold off until thursday on calling the police and to wait until the boys got back into town from a big job in utah so he could ask them himself face to face so that they would tell him the truth and bring it back. Thursday came and roman never answered the phone nor called me like he said he would. These people robbed me of not only all of my expensive electronics, they robbed me of things i can never replace, photos on my camera and memory cards. Not only did they try to move my 1 bedroom apartment that was previously packed upon pick up! they tried milking me for 9 hours to move at $85 an hour. these people are dirty thieves and must be stopped‼ do not hire these animals‼ disgusting crooks they are‼ I EVEN TIPPED THEM $50 each for robbing my house upon also buying them food for a 9 hours $900 move. I basically paid these guys to rob me blind! I FEEL SO EXTREMELY VIOLATED Im sick to my stomach.”
