This moving company saved me on my long distance move!! I moved from VA to TX, during the pandemic. Initially I was signed up with a horrible moving broker. Luckily I found out about the brokers horror stories and was able to get out of it. But this meant I now had to find a reliable moving company that was available ASAP. Different movers had an availability two days later. They have a good online inventory software that helped to clearly show and select what I had. They gave me a flat rate that was a relatively fair price for the long distance move. They have a messaging system where you can either text directly to the general manager or message from your computer/browser. But all of the messages are stored in one spot for easy reference. When I initially asked when my things would be delivered, they gave me a reasonable estimate of "within 14 business days". My stuff ended up being delivered 4 days later, on a Sunday! (Basically they met my earliest delivery date). At pick up, there were three guys. At delivery, there was one guy from pickup and two other local guys. The guy that was at both pick up and delivery did a good job remembering what furniture I had and which box had what stuff. He was able to decide where stuff would go without much direction from me. I just finished unpacking all my boxes and nothing was broken, which is a first for me and I've moved multiple times locally. I was also super worried about my Peloton being damaged, but they wrapped it in blankets multiple times and it was fine. Just know this is a moving company and not a broker (meaning no middle man). They're honest people and we're great to work with. I was extremely stressed out after reading horror stories of how moving brokers take advantage of people and hold their stuff hostage. I was so thankful nothing bad happened to this company.”

THE GOOD: Initially, the staff (including owner) is personable in getting the estimate accurate quickly with a timely turn-around to scheduling the move. They were available to readily address any criteria and concerns. Their website interface is fairly intuitive and allows the company and client to be clear on the expectations of what needs to be moved, with a near real-time pricing index made available to get after the estimated total cost of the move. THE BAD: The company scheduled me for a certain time and then showed up three (3) hours late. This is unprofessional and inappropriate within the scope of the agreement--especially since I was the one that had to request coordinating on the what/when/why of the delay. What was earlier a timely exchange of inputs turned into long waits for response. Nobody from the company provided follow-up until I initiated the delay, as the message traffic shows. I ended up having to push all of my appointments right to the next day due to the delay as well as make moves with both locations' management staffs to accommodate the unexpected schedule changes. The movers attempted to charge me an extra hour due to their poor-planning and execution (which apparently required a fourth body they didn't plan for)--I disagreed citing all the reasons above. I was still charged more than the upper-end of the estimate of $1,118.26, though it wasn't the egregious amount cited in the aftermath of the botched move. The packing was less-than-optimal and the transport of my household goods resulted in damage to several pieces of furniture (which remained unclaimed because I ended up having to go out of town unexpectedly and couldn't follow-up within the timeframe noted in fine print). Lastly, if I hadn't helped to pack/move some of the items myself after-the-fact, not all of my goods would have made it to the home. This resulted in a rental charge for a SUV to move the remaining items--all because of bad time-management on their part. The mover lead offered to help the next day for a fee, but I was already tired and disillusioned with the company and did not intend to hire anyone associated with it further.”
