I'll quickly admit: I'm a very selfish yelper. I read reviews for everything but never write them. This is my first review and I'm only sharing because I was so thoroughly impressed.I contacted Dan Mulhern at the last minute for a move from North Jersey to Philadelphia. They gave a flat rate for 8 hrs and stated an hourly rate for moves beyond that. Sounded fair. They said they'll be at my place between 7:30 and 8:00. They were at my door at 7:40 and called a little before 7:30. They moved at lightning speed, by 9am my apt was almost empty. SADLY they got stuck in my apt elevator (the elevator actually dropped- how traumatizing!)because of faulty maintenance at my old building. This significantly delayed my move. They were well within their rights to charge an hourly rate beyond the 8 hrs ( the move took a little over 10) but they didn't! I also didn't realize that there were extra stairs in my new place. Instead of one flight of stairs as I told them when getting the quote, there were actually 2 (almost 3 as my unit is essentially considered to be a third floor) they still didn't charge beyond the quote! I also need to add that it started snowing then sleeting soon after they began unloading- they still pushed through and kept up great energy and positivity! Let's talk about getting my huge coach around the right winding steps....I seriously don't know how they managed to get it in without destroying it or my walls! In fact, at the end of the day not a single scratch on any furniture ( a wheel broke from an office chair but it was from a cheap furniture store so I'm not sure I can blame the movers) or walls. No broken glasses or accents ( and I have a lot of breakable accents). Thank you! This was the best move ever! ( yup, all these exclamations are warranted). Just to put their fair pricing in context- they charged me 100 bucks less than the movers I had a year ago from Brooklyn, NY to the Oranges, NJ ( that's only a 15 mile mode. recall this move was from the Oranges to Philadelphia a 100 mile difference. I exaggerate... an 80 mile difference). Movers certainly get a bad rep (much of it in my experience is deserved) but these guys set an incredibly high bar. I hope they're around when I do my next move!”

They did a great job in packing well my paintings and other fragile items in order to be storages for long term. Also Dan takes his job with a good sense of humor with his men. Very professional and making me feel at ease since many of my items are passed down heirlooms. I felt good that after interviewing many movers and find thus mover to the best. I am using him twice already and will keep him for future move jobs. Dan understand customer services very well which is rare nowadays. You would be better off using him as a local mover than using a national mover company that wouldn't give you the level of care for your money.”

Came home to damaged furniture and most pieces in the wrong rooms... total chaos despite the fact i asked them to take pictures and questioned how they would remember what went where! Never called to apologize but charged us $700 for the job when it took us hours to correct!’ Unacceptable. They did repair the damaged piece of furniture after weeks of waiting.
