Was in a pinch to get moved, the military kept giving me and my husband the run around. I wish they had just said that they didn't have anyone to move us and we would have moved ourselves instead of them pushing for this company to move us.. I get it you're understaffed and that's not your fault but it very surprising to see 3 teen boys show up to pack our things, which I was mostly okay with but a little worried. Only one knew somewhat of what he was suppose to do. The guys who moved us the next day were awesome! Which is one of the reasons I am leaving three stars. I was and am still pretty upset after moving though and going through all of our things, stuff was broken because it was packed wrong and by wrong I mean thrown in.. everything was so mixed up and didn't even come from the same room... there were things packed with TVs.. I found dishes, clothes and shoes all in one box.. one thing that really irritated me is someone took my planter from out front that had fake flowers and dumped it in a box of clothes and toys.. so there was mulch on all of it. During the day of packing I had my infant so after my husband got off of work he came and took over so we could go home I told him to check everything to make sure it was all packed b he didn't... but I was really surprised how much they left there were four drawers full of stuff and two cabinets. And the bathrooms still had everything that they could technically pack. I plan to give the mayflower another chance in the future as we plan to buy another house. But I definitely will be making sure they don't send children to pack our stuff. As I said the men who moved us were amazing!”

I have had numerous bad experiences with moving companies from theft to damage. This was the best experience we ever had moving and we are retired military! The attention to detail packing and caring for every item in our home was unreal! Friendly, punctual and responsive are just a few words to describe them! They had daily inspectors on site and also randomly visit to ensure the job was moving along. The office was terrific, if I called they actually answered and took care of issues on the spot. I was on a military move from Chicago to Virginia Beach. Mayflower was responsible for the local delivery to my apartment. Two movers showed up within the expected time frame and completed the job. Unfortunately I can't remember their names, but they were both very friendly and professional. My apartment was up three flights of stairs and they did not complain at all. They brought everything in, unpacked and removed the boxes. They even removed some empty furniture boxes that were not their responsibility at my request. During the move-in a supervisor, Ron Burns, stopped by to ensure everything was going smoothly. He was also very friendly and professional. VERY satisfied with these movers and would definitely recommend.”
