I was 100% satisfied with CNYX and would recommend them to everyone. Not only did Elizabeth Solis and the rest of the dispatch team (on both ends) keep in constant and efficient communication with me throughout the entire process, they also sent useful (not annoying spam) email reminders regarding my inventory and arrival times (always called an hour prior to let me know when they would arrive). The San Francisco crew arrived exactly at 8:00 AM and were professional from start to finish. Despite the 3 flights of stairs the movers had to traverse, they were still happy to answer my questions and took extra precautions with my fragile items. Even though we opted to wrap and box our items ourselves, the movers came prepared with blankets, extra bubble wrap and boxes. The box came in handy for for our TV and they extra bubble wrapped our glass table, end tables, paintings and lamps. All of our stuff arrived in Manhattan from San Francisco in perfect condition and the (dis)assembly was quick and careful. I had not realized the California crew had safely stored all the screws and hardware required for the assembly of my bed frame, end tables and dining table, but the assembly crew on the New York end had paperwork noting exactly where everything was. Since I was not able to reserve a parking spot for the New York crew, the lead mover explained there would be an additional $10 fee added to my bill so they could park on the cornerwhich made sense and was explained very clearly. Yay no hidden fees! Instructions during inventory check at the time of move-in was also well explained and everything was correctly numbered. The movers in New York rolled out all of the rugs first so they could lay out the furniture and boxes exactly where I needed them. Also A+ for no damage to my building and sending over the requested Certificate of Insurance my super requested. Thank you for making my move painless and simple!”

And despite the fact that we moved over Xmas break, they still performed the move, and quickly too. Packed on the 22nd of December and including the entire Christmas Holliday and New Year's Day, i had my furniture in my house on January 3rd. Other moving companies were quoting furniture arrival around the 15th of January because of the holiday. Everything arrived in perfect shape, with no damage. We recently used CA to NY express for our move from NY to San Diego, I can't say enough about them! Everyone we met from the company was helpful and professional. Noel came to the house for the estimate and he was great, we felt comfortable with him immediately. He answered every call, email and question we had. The movers came as scheduled and were excellent. They packed our furniture very well and they were quick. Delivery came as promised on the day and time discussed. The CA team was equally as impressive as the NY team. There were no surprise fees, they unpacked all the furniture and assembled everything they had disassembled. I am happy to say that every piece of furniture made it with no damage, even the pieces made of particle board (which everyone says upfront there is a good chance will break). All the boxes were accounted for and out of 80+ boxes maybe 4 had some light damage, but absolutely nothing broke. I have very delicate pieces lots of glass wear, holiday china and glass as well as porcelain houses and a telescope not one piece has any damage. I highly recommend this company for any move. They are reliable and responsive.”

CA-NY Express moved us from Silicon Valley to Brooklyn last year. They packed my husband's 40-year professional library and papers into a truck with a hole in its roof. A rain storm completely soaked almost 30 professionally-packed boxes of irreplaceable papers, signed manuscripts, family photographs. All of my own graphic design printed samples from 30 years were destroyed. It's not quite a year and I am still sickened by the loss. My renters insurance from USAA was only able to compensate for basically the weight of the boxes. (How much does your signed doctoral dissertation from 1982 weigh? Or how much does your mom and dad's wedding album from 1946 weigh?) I just got notice that this company will not even pay the few hundred dollars deductible after the insurance company paid what they could. Really? Shame on these people. They were so personable and available before this happened...then they went stone silent and left me on my own. Their only response was "file a claim"... which I interpreted (generously?) as "drop dead". Don't use these people.”

They said give is an extra week to see if we can locate it! Locate a TV??? 2. Insurance claim form is only accepted by mail and with a notary. It is COVID-19 y’all lost my TV and want me to mail you a form instead of sending $ 3. I packed the vast majority of my items. The night stand that they packed and covered came with a huge crack down the side. Of the 3 items that you packed (1 was lost and 1 was broken) I need my TV or a check!! This is ridiculous”

I researched companies for about a week, and I was having a hard time finding companies that both seemed legit and didn’t have an incredibly high minimum charge. During a Google search I ran across CA-NY Express Movers and I am more than happy that I did. From the beginning, I was struck by the fact that I never received any unnecessary scam-like calls to ask about my move once I gave them my info (I still get calls from other companies I declined). My consultant, Eric, was easy to work with and super responsive to my emails and calls. The first estimate I got was half that of all the other companies I had contacted, including an added guaranteed delivery date. I was even more surprised at drop-off when my final price was exactly what I had been quoted online! On both sides of the move, the movers called me before arrival and were quick and professional. My stuff was picked up on the date I had reserved, and dropped off on the date I had guaranteed (for a relatively cheap add-on). I also received daily email updates about where my things were. Overall, I have no complaints or negative things to say about this company. This move went so much better (and cheaper) than I had expected it to go, and I truly believe that is because I found this company. If I have to move back to LA for any reason, I will absolutely be going with CA-NY Express Movers again!”

I am not generally inclined to write reviews however, the very rosy reviews of this company are highly suspect to me. My items arrived in NY with EXCESSIVE wear. ALL Of the boxes were crushed, 1/3 of the moving blankets "protecting" my furniture had holes from wear during transit and I found a number of broken items in boxes (including a metal grill pan that was broken). I have moved cross country twice and understand that moving takes a toll on your stuff. This however was more than excessive. Additionally, the movers did not practice social distancing, took off their masks and refused to wash their hands. Upon delivery one was talking to his friend about how he wasn't feeling well. I would choose another company.”
