You get what you pay for. I hired these guys to keep my belongings for years and they were non communicative, unprofessional, and at times dishonest bordering on immoral about charges and fees. One example of bad communication, they moved our stuff from one San Francisco address to another outside San Francisco without informing us! Another example, they would charge $50 here and there without any sort of receipt or reason for billing, so the charges seemed unauthorized. Lastly, we would need to meet the workers there and multiple times they would be late by up to one hour or more. No respect at all from this company, but they were cheap. You get what you pay for ... It seems like a shady business practice overall sadly.”

I've used Big Leprechaun a few times for moves in the SF Bay Area, and they have always been efficient and professional. Last time I moved, Robbie himself was one of the movers, and he and his staff again were efficient, friendly and professional. One time instead of using Big Leprechaun Moving, I thought I would save some money, and also give fellow Asian-Americans my business, but that was a horrid, horrid, horrid mistake. The three movers from this Asian-American moving company (Big Leprechaun have always sent only 2 movers and I have about the same amount of stuff) were unprofessional, failed to follow directions, complained that it was hard work and also complained about the tip I gave them as being insufficient. I presume their boss doesn't pay them well, but I did not appreciate their inefficiency and unprofessionalism. If I have to move again, I will use Big Leprechaun. Robbie and his team make the moving process a lot smoother and take away much of the stress inherent in moving. Thanks, Big Leprechaun!”

Amazing, polite, and efficient service from a moving company! My first point of contact was Ailbhe. Ailbhe Made me feel at ease from the very beginning. I called her a lot, and she was always so nice and knowledgeable. She took a lot of time to explain how they would charge the move. She was a huge confidence builder from the very beginning. And it was no wonder, because Chris And Keelin who did the move for me, were amazingly polite and constantly receptive to any of my questions. Big Leprechaun moved me from San Francisco, to Lake Tahoe, and then also dropped off many items to Reno Nevada. It was a two point drop off. The entire move was almost 14 hours. They arrived on time at 7am and finished at 8:30pm. In San Francisco, everything had to be moved from three flights of stairs. They did it effortlessly. The thing I loved about the move was that they were able to move everything and deliver the same day. There were no overnight delays for this big move. I highly recommend Big Leprechaun. Oh, and a big thank you to Robbie the owner. He came out and helped for the first hour in San Francisco. What a super nice gentleman.”

I have never in my life heard of a moving company charging you by the hour at $220 an hour from the time they left the company warehouse to the time they arrive at your apartment. They stated they left the warehouse at 0730, got to my apartment at 0830 and completed the move at 1245. I had a 1 bedroom apt. and I was all packed up when they arrived. This company was recommended to me by a co worker of mine, and this is why I chose them but I’m letting everyone I know not to use them. Total bill $900. I only moved 10 minutes from my original apartment. Friendly guys but slow.”

I was all set to give 5* until the bill was handed to me - it had increased by 55%. I was not happy at all. I trusted that Robbie the owner who came to give me an estimate was well experienced in giving estimates. Obviously not - to go from $4500 to $6950 is not acceptable. I can understand perhaps a 20% increase not 55%. Absolutely unacceptable. An estimator should know his job - I feel like it was a bait and switch. My 3* are based on the fine men that worked the move. This was a full service move The three main men: Jerry, Finn & Luis (Jose) were wonderful as were the other couples that came part time. Sorry - I really wanted to give 5* . Others need to know not to trust the estimate if it's a large move.”

Very disappointed with this company. Two of the movers arrived half an hour late to both our old apartment and the new one. Throughout the process, they were very careless with our things. They picked up the coffee table and then dropped its shelf onto a metal stair landing, damaging the edge. Two of the kitchen glasses ended up breaking, despite being carefully packed in a glass-pack box. When they unloaded the truck at the new apartment, they stacked 2-3 heavy boxes of books on top of boxes clearly labeled FRAGILE. They tried to move the furniture in very quickly and shoved it through tight spaces instead of carefully maneuvering it. This caused them to gouge paint out of our doors and walls in the new apartment. I was told they would be back the next week to fix the damage, but over a month later, it still hasn't happened. I have emailed numerous times, and no longer get a response. I've moved several times in the Bay Area, and I've never had a move as disappointing as this one.”
