"Worst company ever dealt with they held our stuff hostage and kept adding additional charges. Do not use them. Buyer beware!"

★☆☆☆☆
The worst moving company I have ever used. It starts off great. Gabby the rep says all the right things. The price is right. Then when they actually move you the price doubles. They want Cash previous to Delivery. They neglect to tell you that that actual move in date you specify isn’t the date you get.. it is somewhere within 20 days of that date. They show up with a truck that either can’t clear your driveway or the electrical wires and then charge you an additional fee in cash ($500 in our case) to receive your things via another truck so it takes hours maybe days to still receive. Then Gabby will be snarky and tell you you should have read the fine print on the contract but takes no responsibility for not explaining these very important and specific points to you. They are dishonest, unethical and rude. Crooks as far as we are concerned. Very dishonest behavior. DO NOT USE THEM.

They work fast paced, careful and honest. Showed up 15 minutes late due to traffic, overall good work.

We use Beefcake movers for our move to Minnesota, they provided a free on site estimate for our three bedroom house. We were giving a binding quote for all our items which included some packing. I wish I would’ve taking pictures of their work, but with two toddlers on move date, I didn’t have a chance. These guys mean business, we didn’t realize how hard moving can be. Very professional crew and service from beginning to end. Delivery was within their delivery window, and at delivery I was given a 24 hour notice by driver. Their is no doubt I totally recommend this company! I recommend getting an on-site if you are within their service area.

Best movers to hire for your move Explained everything upfront and provided exceptional service Took really good care of all furniture moved and packed liked pros It can get very stressful when looking to hire a good moving company, I received several quotes, some companies seem to eager for my business, beefcake moving got straight to the point I recommend this company for anyone looking for an honest mover Moving across country isn’t cheap, so expect to get what you pay for, if your looking for a cheap mover you’ll get cheap service If your looking for white glove service I highly recommend beefcake Two most important things you want in a moving company, I’d say: careful handling of your goods, and speed. Beefcake gets my highest rating on both. Pickup team, Sean and Gustavo, was outstanding, seeming to spend a little extra attention and care on two major items, a large bookcase and a revolving CD tower, that could not be insured because they are made of wood products rather than solid wood. They—and everything—came through the move without damage, and nothing was lost. I talked to a half-dozen companies before deciding on Beefcake, who, coincidentally, I discovered had moved two of my friends: one a cross-town move, the other from L.A. to Kansas City. I see now why Beefcake got rave reviews from both. By the way, Beefcake quoted me the lowest price of any of the movers I queried.

Gabby the manager kept in touch throughout the process and made sure i had everything in my quote in a binding estimate Pick up crew was on time, delivery was made within my delivery date   I moved from San Diego to Texas  Most packing was premade, except for several items that I wanted special crating for (tvs, etc) Everything was delivered fine No damages I noticed I would recommend this company I can tell they care about their customers

Hiring beefcake moving for my move was the smartest thing I did They were crystal clear regarding pricing and offered several options for my move out of state They called me a day before my move to make sure I didn’t forget anything on my furniture list The pick up crew worked fast and were very friendly and accommodating on such a stressful day Delivery was completed without a hitch Glad I chose them as my movers!

After reading these reviews I called for an estimate After the woman provided an estimate, I came to understand that if my front door is more than 75 feet from the truck there is a charge of $1 per additional foot BTW, I had to pry this information out of her When I challenged her on the additional charge for a large apartment complex, she just hung up on me Bottom line, rude and watch out for the ‘long carry ‘ fee Buyer beware

Amazing service from the initial phone call to delivery I’m happy to say my move with Beefcake moving went great! Super accommodating and very easy to deal with Moving during a pandemic can get crazy Beefcake moving really went out of there way to ease me up Recommend them for sure!

"This review is difficult for us to write because we actually used their services twice and both times they performed well. The reason for the 1 star rating is that after our 2nd move we noticed that our digital camera was missing.

We had a very prompt move with Beefcake Moving. Gaby called the day before in order to confirm the move. The crew arrived at my house pretty early and embarked on the job, which they did professionally and carefully all day long until everything was done. We had many things in our fully furnished four bedroom house, but these guys never tired until they accomplished the disassembling, parking and loading. The delivery was timely and they offloaded and reassembled everything like professionals. They helped arrange my new house and their pricing was not the cheapest but worth every penny. I absolutely recommend them.

I recently moved from a 1 bedroom 3rd floor apartment in West Hollywood on Larrabee St. to a larger 2nd floor unit in Portland, Or. Beefcake Movers were very punctual, extremely fast, professional and made the whole experience stress free. Never needed to give them any instructions as they knew their job inside out. The job/work, fees and inventory were discussed thoroughly during my initial phone call and was very satisfied with the customer service that was provided via telephone. Everything was superbly packed and I like that they wrapped up my large furniture pieces with plastic wrap and blankets, ensuring that none of my furniture got dirty or scratched during the move. To be honest, I was a little skeptical that 3 men would be enough manpower to move all my stuff, but they proved me wrong! I was extremely impressed with their work ethic; they were efficient and moved pretty fast, considering 1) the apt I moved out of is located on the 3rd floor with no elevator, 2) my new apt is on the 2nd floor with no elevator, 3) I had tons of heavy boxes and large heavy furniture! I should mention that most of my furniture is white and the cautious measures that were taken to keep my furniture clean were phenomenal!!! The move started at 9am and was completed by 12pm, referring to my belongings being packed into the truck. I had them completely disassemble my furniture so that they could reassemble furniture once it was in my new place. Rules and regulations do not allow them to reassemble any piece of furniture that is not disassembled by them, which makes total sense due to liability issues. I cannot thank the crew enough for making my move flow smoothly! I rate them beyond five stars and strongly recommend this company to ensure a smooth and easy transition. Thank you again for the outstanding job!!!!

I was so lucky to find Beefcake Moving. I only had a couple of days to schedule a pick-up for a piano, if I didn’t pick it up before a certain date it was going to be given to someone else. Gabby was very helpful and was able to schedule a pick-up at the right day and time. The movers were very courteous, polite and took care that the piano made the 2 hour trip. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again on my next move. Thank you very much Beefcake Moving.

we moved out of state , this company has had our stuff for over a week. We have been sleeping on hardwood floors in our new home. They originally made it seem like it would be here two days ago. We have been calling to figure out when we should expect our belongings. They just sounds annoyed and rude on the phone. They still have yet to give us a idea of what day they are coming! We payed a lot just to be stressed out by them. They are rude, unorganized and not honest! Don’t use this company for moving !

If you are looking for both a local delivery and reasonably priced move, this would be the company of choice. Our experience was above average. Crews were professional and took the time to pad all furniture items. Able to get all items from one home to another.

Please stay away from Beefcake if you value your belongings and your time! My experience with them was an absolute nightmare. I am so disappointed by their lies, deception, and rudeness, and am devastated that my items were wrecked/damaged by careless movers. What a scam! To sum it up: - Delivery took ~7 weeks, including storage time - Furniture was ruined by them, but they claimed they were NOT liable - I was forced to pay hundreds of dollars more AFTER my items were already being loaded onto the moving truck - After my items were in transit, Beefcake said I had NO SAY in what day/time my items would be delivered, and they didn’t tell me when the delivery would be until LESS THAN 24 HOURS BEFORE the delivery - Beefcake threatened to either send my items back to CA and make me pay for delivery twice, or hold my items hostage until I paid them extra fees Details: For the pickup, the driver arrived an hour early with no warning and was extremely rude about it. I had to beg my mom to leave work an hour early to meet him. The consultant promised that the driver would call me when he was on the way, but he didn’t, so I wasn’t notified of any schedule changes - and then he acted like I inconvenienced HIM! Then, after my furniture was already disassembled and my boxes were already sitting in the parking lot, the driver/foreman demanded extra payment of HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS MORE than the "binding" estimate I signed. First, he claimed that the distance from my door to the moving truck was "at least 150 feet," and they charge extra for distances greater than 75 feet. My mom asked if she could measure it and he agreed...It was only 85 feet. He was furious that my mom called his bluff and dared to question his LIES. And it actually would have been within 75 feet, except he parked his truck in the MIDDLE of my parking lot and REFUSED to move it closer even though there was plenty of space to, and he could not provide a single good reason as to why he couldn’t move it. He then charged an extra fee for my sofa being "bulky" despite the fact that I already let the consultant bill the sofa as two pieces due to its unique shape. I was already paying extra for it! Plus, the driver/foreman harassed and yelled at my poor mom repeatedly. So unprofessional! I’d have loved to cancel the whole transaction at this point, but they already had my items in their hold, and I was not there in person. The delivery process was equally painful. I contacted the consultant multiple times after pickup and she wouldn’t give me ANY details, or even a delivery timeframe. Finally, WEEKS LATER, she said my items would be loaded on the next truck. However, when I tried to schedule a delivery date with her, she brushed me off and said she would call me the next day to discuss the delivery. But, she DID NOT call me back, and instead sent me a vague email saying my items were already in route, and that they would be delivered sometime within "3-7 days." WHAT?! You can’t even narrow it down to one specific day, after the shipment is ALREADY EN ROUTE? When I said I would be traveling for work for the next few days and requested that the delivery be made after I returned (still within the 5 day window), she sent me a rude email telling me that I am not allowed to request delivery dates, and that I was being unfair to their other customers... This same email also threatened me with further extortion, namely that if I was not there to accept/pay for the delivery ON A DATE WHICH THEY WOULD NOT SPECIFY, then they would either send my items back to my home to CA (on my dime), or would put my items in storage until I paid them even more money. Is that even legal?! So again, I had to beg someone else to meet the movers for me, and spent $20 to overnight the payment to them per the consultant’s recommendation. The consultant also promised me that while the delivery date was still unknown, the mover would at least call me 24 hours prior to his arrival. Well, guess what? He didn’t. The driver waited until the afternoon before the delivery to call and say he HAD TO deliver my items at 7AM THE NEXT MORNING and no later because he had other customers that day. So why did those other customers get a scheduled delivery day/time while I was denied? I inspected my items as soon as I came back from my trip. My almost-new desk had two large jagged holes through the top! The movers later claimed they weren’t liable for the damage due to the desk’s material...this is NOT stated anywhere on the original contract I signed! I filed a claim but have yet to hear back. I also noticed my other furniture was damaged too. My almost-new dining table’s edges were crushed and missing paint, and my coffee table (that wasn’t even moved by Beefcake, but that the movers used to assemble furniture upon without permission) was heavily scratched and chipped. The brand new hardwood floors in my apartment were also scuffed in several places. I’ll upload photos/screenshots. Despicable!!

I had worked with Sean to schedule my move. He was very professional and friendly. I was looking forward to using him for the move until speaking with Gabbie. When speaking with Gabbie I had several very basic questions about my move but for some reason Gabbie decided to be unnecessarily very difficult. She was arrogant and rude to me. In no way, shape or form did she treat me like the paying customer that I am and instead just seemed to want to be difficult and not answer my questions. In fact she directed me to the contract to get answers to my questions however the contract did not include answers to my specific questions. But I would think it would be quite easy, quicker and more customer friendly to simply answer my questions which were basic yes or no questions. I asked to speak with Sean when I decided that I would no longer put up with her rudeness and she refused to let me speak with Sean. Shockingly she actually told me that she would be canceling my move at this point. This was quite incredible considering she was the person being incredibly rude and unnecessarily difficult with me, the customer, and my move date was actually just 2 days away. This was very unfortunate and really put me in a bind at the last minute. So basically I was forced to endure her nastiness or she would follow through with her threat to cancel my move. Luckily I was able to find movers at the last minute. These movers cost more than Sean and Gabbie were charging however I don’t mind paying more for professionalism and basic consideration any day. Looking at the other yelp reviews it appears that this rudeness is a pattern.

Beefcake moving got us from orange county to Las Vegas Nevada. The crew was fantastic and the office staff was even better. They accommodated everything we needed and more. They packed our items to survive a train wreck. Everything arrived in one piece, on time, and we were completely satisfied.

We hired BEEFCAKE MOVING to move some office furniture from LA to our STL offices. DON’T USE THEM. Payment Policy: You pay 65% down and the rest is due before they unload the furniture. They increased what we owed twice: Once upon pick up when they said the desks (2 U shaped and 1 L shaped) were considered 2 and 3 person desks. (there was nothing on the contract that asked what shape the desks were or listed them as extra fee items). And second upon arrival when the mover said it was more than 75 feet from the truck to our office door. If he had not pulled up so far it wouldn’t have been over 75 feet. Movers: Beefcake hired a guy to pack up the furniture, where he took everything apart and didn’t mark what pieces went with what. A different mover picked up the items and transported them to our office, where upon arrival he threw a fit about where we wanted him to park, stating he was scared he would get hit by a car or get a parking ticket. A police officer, our building security officer and I were all trying to talk reason to the guy but he kept whining. I finally convinced him to proceed by offering to stand outside with him and tell him if a car was coming. (This was a side road, not heavily travelled, and only a parking lane away from the curb). He brought no help except for his wife, he had no ramp to unload, me and my colleagues had help him with several items. And after he finally unloaded, he stated that he doesn’t put anything together, and left. He would only accept cash, (isn’t it hard to document payment for tax purposes with cash??). When we tried to contact Gabbie who is the contact at Beefcake she did not respond to the calls.

Ryan P. - 5 stars This is not the first time we’ve used Beefcake. We have probably used them at least 5 times for local moves, never for a long distance move like we did this week. They have never really been the cheapest but we watched them go from rented trucks to their own. Sean has always been fair with us and Gabi stays on top of everything. We always request Daryl as he is the foreman and does a great job.Charles his helper was so polite even I was impressed. We hope this is our last move, but unfortunately we are out of LA and can’t use them again. I give them a 5 star rating. No problems at all.

Please beware of this company. I used them for the first time and would never use them again nor would I ever recommend them to anyone that wants a company that is honest or transparent. I received an initial quote of $4200.00 and when a representative from the company arrived it immediately jumped to $6700.00. After contacting Gabbie, she knocked down the price to $6,300.00 however they were ridiculous at what they did not disclose up front, I had no choice but to pay them, as I had to be out that day and had no choice. Upon moving in they damaged several items, scraped my from door upon move in, damaged my dining room table, my dresser, a brand new desk took a huge chunk out of it, they damaged a lamp shade and completely destroyed a end table which I did not even realize until they were gone and found it in the garage. this is a horrible company. Stay away.

Beefcake Moving and Storage are terrible movers. My fiancé and I moved our belongings from an apartment in Los Angeles, CA to San Antonio, TX. Beefcake says they do long distance moves, but the movers who arrived with our belongings were actually contracted through a third-party. Although they did not pack the truck, the third party movers unloaded all of our items. The first mistake occurred during our pickup. The two movers themselves were very nice and packaged our stuff carefully, but they lost our headboard. Gabby called us the next day asking us if we had the headboard. We obviously did not and she seemed to imply that it was our fault that the headboard did not make it into the truck. Gabby ended up purchasing us a new bed frame free of cost, but I feel like that is because we had not made our second payment for deliver yet. Although giving plenty of time in advance about our first availability date, we waited almost the full 30 day business period. We were available mid-July and waited until mid-August to receive our belongings. Gabby would not tell us when our belongings would be there or even give us an estimated time frame. Every time we called, we got the answer "all of our trucks are out right now". The icing on the cake was when our belongings arrived and my desk was BROKEN IN HALF. The third party movers informed me that the desk was like this when it was packed into the truck. I received no information from Gabby at all or any follow up after my belongings were dropped off about the desk. I had to call myself to confront her about the situation and since the company had my last payment, I was referred to their third party claims company. My claim was DENIED and it took over 3 months for the company even to respond to my claim. Long story short: Beefcake only cares about their customers when they still owe them money. After selling my "snowbird" condo, I contacted Beefcake Moving to transport some personal items for me. My interactions and move went smoothly without any issues. I found them to be helpful and professional. Gabby especially was a delight to deal with when I needed guidance.

Received the initial quote of around $6,000 which was before packing. No representative from the company came to check my initial pre-packing inventory. I updated my box count twice with the last time they said that it’s getting close to capacity for the truck. Movers arrived and gave me a quote for around $11,000 because of some extra items not on the list because they MAY need another truck. My scam alert went off immediately. This is a move from SoCal to Phoenix of a 1100 sqft 3 br house. In comparison, our move from the midwest to SoCal cost $8000. I called the rep and also received a call from the supervisor who said not to worry. If I hadn’t said something what would have happened? We needed to store our load for a week at their holding place. When we received our stuff I noticed some of our boxes had been broken down and items moved into other boxes or laundry hampers. Also the kicker was I opened up a box with my daughters video games and discovered that her Nintendo Switch box was empty. The system box was there, but the contents were not. When I tried to file a claim it was denied because the contents of each box was not written down. Can you imagine trying to do that? Haha So long story long, if you are not paying attention they will add extra charges and definitely do not label boxes if they are going into their storage place unless you want you’re possessions ripped off. Avoid.

I liked the Beefcake movers. They were just normal nice guys that were patient, friendly, helpful and most of all did their job with confidence and was careful on the furniture they moved. I would recommend them to my friends or family. They did an awesome job.

My realtor recommended beefcake moving after several of her clients used them are were extremely happy with their service. Let me start by saying this is an excellent company run by very professional human beings and with highly skilled movers. On move day the crew were on time and did a very hard job. They were cautious with my belongings which they covered with blankets and plastics all around. I had so much stuff i was afraid it would not all fit on the truck, however Sean assured me based on his many years of experience it would. They filled up the truck without any complaints and only took a short break for lunch. At delivery everything arrive in excellent condition. Their care for my things was second to none. I highly recommended this man power!. Five stars isn’t enough. Beefcake Rocks!!..
