One of the best moving companies I dealt with, hired them for moving from NY to NJ. Excellent communication from the beginning John and Julia were very attentive to details, respectful and timely. Their price was also competitive. This didn't stop with good experience hiring them, but extended to execution as well. Their employees who came were super hard working and respectful. I was very nervous until the job was complete as there were no surprises, broken furniture or dented walls as everything was going smooth. They have the best team.

The excellent Yelp reviews I read prior to my move helped me pick Bedoya moving. What a great decision!! John gave a written fixed quote and that was the price. John gave me the start and delivery times and he was on time. I moved from Westport CT to Washington DC - 300 miles. He picked up my furniture on Thursday and delivered me on Friday at 8:30Am. He runs his business like a well oiled machine. In all my moves I have NEVER had such a positive experience like this. He is the moving king. Don't think twice - he's your man! I even took these pictures. I was so happy!

Fast response to my online inquiry. I ordered a bed in a box, but the box was too big for me to carry upstairs. Their team understood my issue, scheduled an appointment, sent a confirmation with multiple payment options, called before arrival, and completed the job in a short amount of time. Very grateful for their amazing service. By far my best experience with a moving company and I've used many movers over the years. Definitely will be using these guys again when it's time to go to a new apartment.

I can't recommend this family owned business enough. John & his team got my family (including a 3 month old) and I out of a huge bind during this COVID-19 pandemic. First, John was flexible on pricing as I had decided to do much of the packing myself (thinking I had the time to do so with having to stay at home and all). We were scheduled to move out of Queens NY at the end of March but John advised and rescheduled our move earlier a few times. Due to the changing climate and restrictions being enforced in NYC, John called me one morning and insisted he move us either that day or the next otherwise we would get stuck (which my landlord was pressing against). John sent a few extra men (6 total!) the next day to help us pack the remaining items and load out. They were all super efficient and also kind; even waited 10 minutes for me to double check everything and situate the baby. Our move was over 800 miles to SC so the 2 man driving team hit the road right away. Even during the late night hours, John texted and communicated the truck's ETA and remaining balance due. While the costs increased slightly, John explained why and was very reasonable. In the wee hours of the next morning, the men offloaded our belongings expediently. I thank John and Bedoya Moving for the open communication and caring about my situation. My family and I are very grateful for their kindness during these tough times.

This was a great moving experience. I booked this very last minute (4 days notice) because the covid pandemic sped up my moving timeline. The rates were reasonable and no hidden fees tacked on at the end for packaging etc. The crew sent were very courteous and efficient! We had my 1 bedroom home loaded up in about an hour or less and moved me into the new place (15 min away) very quickly. I would definitely book them again and will be recommending them to friends in the area.

After getting quotes from 10+ companies, we landed at Bedoya Moving and found an affordable quote that made sense to us for the amount of items we had and the distance we were traveling (NY to NC). We also felt very comfortable moving forward with them because of past reviews. After sending pictures and an inventory to the team, we requested and scheduled an in-person visit, which they completed within days of our request. Bedoya Moving may not provide clients with everything they should according to this document ( but they were very clear and responsive throughout the process. After the in-person visit, we were sent a contract and asked for a $100 deposit (not including certain insurance options). Prior to and on the day of pick-up, I had to initiate communication with the team to get all the information I needed (e.g. ETA). This also happened prior to and on the day of delivery. Although they were not super proactive about contacting me, they were very responsive to my calls, which made things better. This was helpful because there were a few unforeseen circumstances (e.g. all of our items not fitting in the assigned vehicle, an extra fee for 10 boxes we did not plan to have in the inventory). Jackie and Miriam (office assistants) were wonderful! The work that the movers do is fantastic. They stuck to the inventory we provided them and reviewed all items prior to moving them. All of our furniture was wrapped appropriately (e.g. cardboard, blankets, tape) and our boxes were treated with care. They are very fast workers and it is clear that they care a great deal that they provide the best service possible. I would recommend Bedoya Moving to individuals who are okay without sticking to the script of the document linked above and are proactive and know what they need/want. We had an all around great experience and feel extremely happy that we ended up choosing Bedoya Moving.

I was referred to this FABULOUS MOVING SERVICE by a friend. I will admit I had my doubts. My first meeting with John and I was impressed. He put all my anxieties and fears to rest. He brought me all the necessary packing materials whenever I needed and his team was terrific. I especially took a liking to Alexis. The whole group was friendly, patient and very experienced. This group of movers is TOP NOTCH. You can't go wrong when hiring John’s team. Thank you for a great move!

Great experience overall. Last minute our closing date changed and they were able to work with us. They didn’t wrap up our patio set so some scratches there but that was it. Everything arrived perfect and they even helped my husband mount our big tv.

I can't recommend this family owned business enough. John & his team were professional, friendly, efficient, careful and above all went above and beyond ensuring that everything being packed was cared for. Moving from New Jersey to North Carolina, transporting our car, and also moving many boxes, etc. to a storage facility. The rates were reasonable, and no hidden fees. It is easy to communicate and speak to John at any time. There are too many accolades to mention about this company. I have already recommended them to everyone I know. John and team, Thanks so much for your hard work and for making this move less stressful. Wish there were more 'stars' to give.

I would suggest going with another moving company, if at all possible. I have never left another Yelp review but felt that this was necessary. After reading the other positive reviews (dating back to 2017) I was confident in my choice. Additionally, John Bedoya agreed to do the move last minute which was helpful because I was unable to get in touch with my prior movers. John charged a 4 hour minimum, but when I called at hour 3 (moving locations was 50 to 70 minutes apart) to find out where my delivery drivers were, John was livid. While there was a miscommunication on the time, I would have been more than fine with a short response. Instead, after a brief conversation, John laid out a number of expletives about me and assured me that he did not need my business, and then instructed the delivery drivers to turn around and leave all my things back at the original destination. He then hung up the phone. The burden of needing to move and not knowing if your things will be delivered or left on the side of the road is immensely stressful, and if you are trying to avoid that stress then you should go with another company. I spoke with someone at their office who was nice enough to convince the delivery drivers to deliver my things to me. However, John Bedoya insisted that I pay over the phone before the delivery drivers arrived, so I paid an additional 3% for a credit card transaction fee. The movers, however, were EXTREMELY kind and efficient, and I am thankful for how quickly and effectively they moved my things. (Since John made me pay for a set price over the phone before they finished the job, they were forced to hustle to get my things up 3 flights of stairs or risk not getting paid for the extra time). They also let me know that they were delayed because of the rain. While I'm sure other individuals have had positive experiences, I would suggest avoiding Bedoya Moving and John's temper and go with someone else to avoid adding stress to an already stressful time. Additionally, John sent me a follow up email to assure me that his men would not stay past the additional hour that I paid for (presumably leaving me to move the rest of the items) and drew attention to his mistake that 3 flights of stairs means the unit is on the 4th floor, not the 3rd. Ultimately, I would not move with Bedoya Moving again despite the excellent help of the movers themselves.
