Apex Moving & Storage Reviews

★★★★★
I recently used Apex to help with my cross country move. They were very accommodating and professional from the very start. I was able to book my consultation, packing and moving date well in advance as I was on a timeline and moving services were booking up quickly for this time of year. I have moved in the past without use of packing service and this time I invested the money to have assistance with packing the kitchen, fragiles , wall hangings and electronics. So worth the investment and saved me tons of time as I would have struggled with those items. As for the movers, if I could score a 10, I would give them a 10+. They were very efficient and courteous and made the move as stress free as possible. Their fees are competitive and they understand time is money and did not drag their feet. I would highly recommend them to help you with any moving or packing needs.

Being a small business owner myself, I know good customer service when I see it. From the minute I contacted Apex, everything was 5 star. They set me up for an onsite quote, their estimator arrived on time and was in and out in no time. I received their quote by email as promised. I contacted them and scheduled our move from Renton to Bonney Lake. Communication was excellent, and their crew showed up on time and ready to work on move day. The 3 man crew showed up on time, and they immediately went to work. They had my 3 bedroom house and 23 years worth of accumulation loaded in no time. These guys are workers! They laid out protective coverings where needed, and were extremely polite. Once they arrived at our new home, their offload was just as impressive. They hit the estimate on the nose, which was appreciated. They exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend Apex Moving & Storage for your moving needs. They sure saved my back!

★★★★★
Our realtor gave us APEX as an option since we are moving into our first home. We received an estimate quote and James was our relocation Consultant. They were very quick to schedule same day, over the weekend. They were able to make it happen that Monday. James was prompt, very polite, and courteous. Even with covid, he followed protocols and wore a mask. Our dog liked him so that was a great sign, and he was kind to our animals. I ended up calling the office the next day with some questions once I got the estimated quote back. Their customer service team was great and super nice. Very helpful and answered all my questions. They had fair labor cost! Truly! Great price. They do charge for ACTUAL hours worked. The more work you do, equals the less they have to do, which means less money ya spend! You do pay by card at the end of the move, which was nice feature. The only reason we didn't hire them was because they started at 9am, when the competitor could come at 7am. For us, who are up at 5am, this just worked better for our timeframe. Both companies were on par with the same estimate, which was so comforting. They did come in under in terms of the bid price for both labor and materials. I really have no real reason not to hire these guys. Again, thank you so much to James, Loretta and their team. They were wonderful!

★★★★★
From start to finish and on short notice, Apex was on top of our move! Our estimator (James) was professional and answered all of my questions. The day of the move, the crew (Clint) called to let me know they were on the way. After the walk through, they laid down protective mats on my hardwoods and immediately got to work. They were quick and we came in under time!

I’ve used Apex three times now. Each time they gave exceptional service. My work also uses them for our clients, which is why I called on them for my personal moving needs.

Maybe I had an unfortunate experience, but the lead mover dropped and broke one of my most valuable possessions. They did not pay me a single cent for it and did not return my call nor send the paperwork they promised. That's hard to overlook. They will always suck in my book.

★★★★★
We just moved from a three-story townhouse to a brand new home. These guys, (Clint, Jesus, Dwight, and Jordan), had to haul my heavy wooden Bassett furniture down two flights of stairs. They were breaking a sweat, but were so positive throughout the whole process. They also laid down carpet protector, and put furniture padding around my items to keep them from getting damaged. They were really efficient and put everything and every box where it needed to go. The price remained true to the original estimate. I'm very pleased with them and would highly recommend.

★★★★★
These guys were great! Very professional. This wasn't a move for me I had furniture delivered. They picked it up and delivered to my home, and it was wrapped up beautifully! No scuffs on wall, floor, or the new furniture. I would recommend Apex and call them again.

★☆☆☆☆
The worst moving experience ever. Next time, I would move myself (not something I have done in 25 years) or hire Home Depot workers before I hired Apex again. I made the mistake of not asking for an estimate and emailed them with a very rough list of things that I had to move (which was sort of inaccurate as I ended up having to move to a different place at the last minute). The movers showed up and noted there was quite a bit more than was in the 'virtual' quote. To me, this meant nothing except I would have to pay for a few more hours.... no big deal. What they didn't communicate was that they weren't sure all of my things would fit in their truck. First issue was I 'had' (past tense) a very expensive, heavy, custom made dining room table top. They tried to lift it and commented that it was 'questioning their manly hood' (I did mention the heavy table i the email). Sure enough, they didn't feel comfortable moving it as it was super heavy (~400lbs) and made me sign a waiver. Go figure, 3 minutes after I signed a waiver they dropped the table and broke it. Second issue was they started to grumble that the truck was filling up. After repacking it a few times, they assured me everything would fit and 'they do this for a living'. We did a quick walk through of everything else that needed to go, and I headed over to the new place. When they arrived about an hour later, they told me to wait by the truck so they wouldn't have to lock it every time they made a trip to the apartment as it was parked in an alley. The apartment manager came out and mentioned to them that most people that move in unload the contents of the truck onto the loading dock, shut the garage gate, and load up the elevators (which he gave them to the key to) so no one needs to babysit the truck. Their response was 'that didn't make any sense'. The only reason I can think of that they would say that is it meant less money in their pocket as it would be reduced hours... because it made perfectly good sense. Instead, they took a few items at a time, waited for the elevator, went up the elevator, walked down the hall to drop the things off, went back to the elevator, waited for the elevator, came back down and repeat and repeat and repeat for about 5 hours. And unfortunately, there were several of my items that didn't even make it from the old house despite them showing up and saying 'the good thing is we got everything'. I guess 'everything' in their minds didn't include a 10 x 13 rug, a console table, and a few other odds and ends that I had asked them to bring. The whole day to move a 1 bedroom/1 den apartment took from 8:30AM - 9PM to the tune of $1,650 (and the new place was only 5 miles from the original house). Unfortunately, the 'fun' didn't end their. I ended up having to pay Junk Haulers $225 to haul away the dining room table they broke and a 10x13 rug that I couldn't move myself and needed to be out of my house. Next up I had to rent a UHaul for $100 to move the other items. And while moving the other items, I noticed they broke two of my landscaping lights and have to pay another $100 to have them fixed. Also... no mention of breaking them. All in all, I am out $1,650 for paying Apex to 'move' me, $2,000 for a custom dining room table, $225 for Junk Haulers, $100 for a UHaul, and $100 for a landscaper. Worse yet, I am out 10 hours of my time which is pretty important while you are in a middle of a move. When I emailed them with my experience, they agreed to refund me $450 which I personally think is a joke. A friend of mine had recommended Apex to me and had a totally different experience. So if you are into Russian Roulette and need some extra stress in your move, give Apex a chance.

Dean made the arrangements for a local move bringing furniture and boxes to a container barge line shipping to Alaska. The truck, driver and helper were professional. Taking care handling and packing everything safe. Will recommend and use them in the future. Thank you Dean, Dwight snd Jordan.

Don't ever use Apex movers in Puyallup!! While moving my household goods their employees stole 19k worth of my jewelry. They have refused to compensate me or refer me to their insurance company!! They cannot be trusted!! Beware!! Please pass it along. Thank you Apex Movers Address: 914 Valley Avenue NW. Bldg 3 Ste.102 Puyallup, Washington 98371

This is the second time we have used Apex to move family members. The team members arrived on time. They were very courteous. Introduced themselves and outlined their anticipated method of work. They treated our furnishings with the utmost care. They never stopped working. We were moved in good time and everything arrived in good condition. I would certainly recommend them for any move.

★★★★★
Great experience with this company. We had Billy and Troy show up right on time, very pleasant. We had a lot of stuff and Troy was great at placing everything we needed perfectly into our storage. It was an all day job, and we're very satisfied!

★☆☆☆☆
Very disappointed with this company. Spoke with very nice person to make appointment for moving survey of our home. The representative showed up 15 minutes late. He was nice enough and seemed to know what he was doing. When he was leaving he said he would email a cost estimate that evening or first thing the following day. The evening came and went, the next day came and went. Nothing, no message, no phone call and no email. Apparently, they have all the business they can handle, so I will not be troubling them with my business.

★★★★★
Movers were on time, considerate and professional. We expected the load up would take about three hours but they were done in one hour with everything cleaned up. The unload was even faster. Movers were very careful of the newly built house. I would definitely call Apex again if I need movers.
- Susan M.

★★★★☆
The guys at Apex were on-time, friendly and careful with my items. Everything ran pretty smooth. The only complaint I have is I labeled the boxes for the rooms they would go into and they didn't follow it. I'm a single woman who can't lift much and I had to move boxes around the house and had trouble unloading the kitchen because instead of the boxes being in the empty dining room they left them all in my kitchen. Taking the time to do it right and not leaving it to me would have been the professional thing to do. Otherwise things were good.
- Jacey L.

★★★★★
Ive used Apex twice now. Both times have been good experiences. They're on time, friendly, helpful. Good people. The first time i got bids. Theirs came in lowest, with good reviews. The second time I just went with them cause my first experience had been so good. Highly recommend!
- Ellen P.

★★★★☆
The guys were great, they showed up a little early which was fine with me. The price was good and overall I was happy with the move. They did forget to bring a glass coffee table top but it fit into my trunk and I got it here Just fine. Also, I have a double recliner and the seat back was not properly attached. So maybe if you could send someone to just fix It as I can't seem to pull the back off to readjust it. But like I said it was an over all great experience. The guys were very professional and had great attitudes. I think it's the attitudes of the people who work for you that make the difference between a good experience and a bad experience. I think this will be my last move so I won't be able to use your services anymore BUT, I can recommend you to others.

★★★★★
From the initial telephone call to the actual move, APEX was really professional, honest, and just good people. I have used three moving companies recently and APEX outshined and out-performed them all.

I hired Apex to move me out of an apartment in Seattle last month and store my belongings so that I could move to France for a year. Because of the pandemic, I was not able to go to France, so Apex then moved me into another apartment only ten days later. They managed everything perfectly. I recommend Apex without an reservations. Everything was handled professionally. I'll use Apex again!

★★★★☆
I used Apex Storage to move heavier items out of a house and in to a storage unit. I was really happy with the level of service they provided and I felt as though the pricing was fair. The two movers were very friendly and professional. I would recommend Apex to all.

★★★★★
We had to back up the move date due to our home closing one day later, but they worked with us. The guys that moved us were great. They showed up on time and after showing them what I had in the house to move, they formulated a plan and executed it to perfection. Courteous, professional, and efficient would be how I would best describe my experience. I would definitely use them again and will tell friends about them.

★★★★★
This is the second time I've used Apex in four years and have been very happy with both teams helping us move our items - we were kept informed about when they would arrive and how long they expected it to take - Apex lives up to every commitment they made - thank you for helping make the moving process a little less stressful
- Debbie J.

★★★★★
I was crossing country to be there when my items were picked up from storage and delivered to my new house when I broke down and was delayed for the move in date. Apex really worked with me to make it happen in my absence from billing to the pick up and delivery. I had damage to a table when I arrived home and when I called Apex they told me they had pictures of the damage at the dock of the storage warehouse to back my claim with the storage facility. Fantastic. Made my claim all the more easy. They really watched over my stuff and I couldn't be happier. It even cost a little less than I was quoted!
- Drue H.

★★★★★
This was our first time using Apex. On the morning of the move they called to give us a heads up that they were 30 minutes away. They showed up on time and all 3 guys on the crew had great attitudes. They took the time to protect the furniture, all of the open stairwell railings and all of the walls where there were tight turns/corners. They handled everything with care and they didn't hesitate to ask questions. Once they had a room all set up, they would double check with us to make sure that we were 100% happy with where they had put everything. They did an amazing job and it was worth every penny (which the price was very reasonable) to have Apex move us out of our old home and into our new one. I highly recommend Apex for all of your moving needs and I can't thank them enough for the pleasant experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🙂

Don't do it, you will probably end up loosing $500+ of a deposit. This company is shady and seems full of fictitious reviews. Red flag after red flag. I would say keep searching.
