★★★★★
Allston moved an extremely awkward & heavy console player piano out of my home this morning along with about 300 scrolls. They were prompt, friendly, efficient and very careful. I would have no reservations about using them again. I have a new baby grand coming in a few months and they’ll be moving that as well.

★★★★★
Allston Piano was great from start to finish and took great care of my 1923 Steinway M in the move from one house to another. They also stored the piano for a week in between. I highly recommend them.

★★★★★
Piano moving is expensive but the price quoted was fair compared to others. It was very easy to schedule pick up and delivery. The process was efficient. I got an email reminder the day before with a time frame, and an update on the day regarding actual time. The movers placed the piano exactly where I wanted it. Would recommend.

★★★★★
Very professional and careful. These guys could thread a needle with a piano, which is basically what they did with our narrow staircase.

★★★★★
My piano is sentimental to me where my mom bought it 2nd hand in 1969. We had in our home for 38 years and were moving it from a 2nd floor to be refinished in Quincy. They came and figured it would go the same window it came in in 1981. All things were measured and the window removed to get it out and onto the truck by crane. They carefully covered it and were very professional. I am sure when the piano is redone I will be calling them again to bring the piano back but it will be able to get into the front door when that time comes. Highly recommended! I am sure my mom would be happy we have kept the piano with us!

★★★★★
I whole heartedly recommend this company. Their three-member crew under the direction of Andrew Kuhn worked perfectly in moving our piano and a chest from Attleboro to Burlington last week. They were all professionals-- punctual, courteous to a fault, and meticulous in handling everything. They made sure that the items were removed with great care and were later put exactly where they were meant to be placed on different floors. Our son-in-law was on the receiving end and he was also highly pleased with them. There wasn't the slightest damage to the items or to the two houses involved. I have nothing but praise for them. And I should add that their charges were also quite reasonable. All the best to their enterprise.( I said pretty much the same things on the Facebook site of their parent company, Gentle Giant).

★★★★★
My piano was carefully and skillfully moved to my new home. It is as beautiful an instrument now as it was before the move. I was impressed with the movers.

★★★★★
Niles and his crew moved a old heavy upright piano here in Dartmouth, one from house to another. Every aspect of this move was done professionally from the initial arrangements, followups and then the move itself. The crew were considerate, helpful, knew what they were doing and, it goes without saying, strong! Would strongly recommend them to anyone moving a piano and plan to use them again when I decide to move my baby grand.

★★★★★
I had my Yamaha upright moved by Allston Piano for a in-town move. Booking was simple and they responded quickly to my inquiry. They were flexible in accommodating my schedule, which was important because I had a very narrow window for the move. The three-men crew showed up right on time (6:30 AM on a Friday). They really knew their job - careful and efficient. The whole move took less than an hour, and my piano sat in the new house exactly where I wanted. Very pleased.

★★★★★
We had a somewhat unique move of an upright piano that we were donating to a local charity. Allston Piano could not have been nicer about accommodating time and location and, since it was a donation, the cost. We could not have been happier.

★★★★★
They took great care in moving my antique piano from NH to Cambridge. Pleasure to deal with and they arrived right on time.

★★☆☆☆
These guys are supposed to be the best piano movers in Boston, so I had every confidence in trusting them with my beloved Steinway M during a move in August of 2017. Unfortunately, my fellow reviewers seem to have had better success. While moving my piano up a single flight of stairs, they put a massive crack along the length of the fallboard. Also, my piano was scratched during the move. As a professional pianist, this was deeply upsetting to me. Allston did cover the cost of all repairs necessitated as a result of their negligence. This is the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars. The fallboard had to be rebuilt, as the current Steinway M uses a slightly different fallboard design. Thankfully, there are now no signs of the damage. They also covered the cost of refinishing to remove scratches sustained during the move. I didn't want to write a review at first because I wanted to make sure that the cost of repairs was covered completely. But now, I feel it necessary to warn my fellow pianists. Allston might be fine moving an old spinet, but I would never trust them with my piano again.
