This "company" should not be allowed to operate. They are frauds. Alliance Moving & Storage will give you an estimate and a separate moving company will show up and try to charge you more money. I never spoke with the same person at Alliance more than once and was given invalid phone numbers.

This company does not deserve even one star! Hands down this is the worst company I have ever worked with. Crew showed up late, not enough people to pack, miscommunication, left a garage full of stuff and walked away saying they did not have enough room. Charged us extra money over the quoste. One employee tried to extort us for money. Very unprofessional staff. One crew member was constantly vaping instead of packing. Ruined several pieces of furniture, broke antiques and collectibles. Couldn't or wouldn't deliver to our house, so had to rent a van to transport from storage. Offered us $168.00 for our troubles. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! YOU WILL BE SORRY!

Beware of this fraudulent company. They quote low and cancel the day before they are supposed to pick up. I got a binding estimate on February 22nd from Alliance Moving and Storage for my household goods shipment from Michigan to California. My move date was scheduled for July 16th & July 17th. I agreed to the binding estimate of $2229 and paid a deposit of $780. On July 8th, they send me a new quote which increased the price to $2,979 and I called the customer care to ask for this price increase. The customer service person was rude and used swear words while hanging up. I also explained that my household good have signifiantly reduced from the time I got the quote and even if they do not reduce my price they cannot just increase it. (I had sold my thread-mill, box counts reduced). On July 14th (less than 48 hours before my pick up window), Kevin Ash from Alliance called me and said they cannot pick up my shipment at all. He gave no specific reason on why they are doing this. I asked them if this is about the additional $700 and he said it has nothing to do with it. And then, I have reached out to Alliance to refund my $780 five times till date and they do not even reply to emails. Customer care says, they cannot assist with refunds and the only way to contact billing is by email. Along with figuring out my move to CA in this last minute cancellation, I am not even able to get a reply to my emails about my refund till date.

In January of 2021, I was searching online for moving companies and filled out a request for service. Within a few minutes, I was contacted by Roger Stein at Alliance Moving and Storage. We went over the info together and I explained that I needed to move a 1 bedroom apartment from California to Idaho. After that, he spoke to my wife and she showed him on video how much we had to move. He came up with an estimate and called me back. I approved the agreement, and part of that was transferring $2,000 to Alliance Moving as a deposit. That should have been our first suspicion, a moving company whose only known physical presence is an office unit in Deerfield Beach, FL, asking us for $2,000. We were in a rush to move, so we figured we’d take the risk. We’ll regret that decision for the rest of our lives, as we’ll always be $2,000 poorer than we could have been. Roger gave us a link to this site which as you can see, has reviews about Alliance Moving. Many of them were negative, some extremely so. I called Roger and asked him about these negative reviews. We walked through them one by one together and he explained to me the circumstances of each negative review. To be extra sure, I asked him what would happen if there were some type of issue or dispute on moving day. He assured me repeatedly that he would be available by cell phone and that if there were any problems at all, we should call him immediately and he would sort it out. I further pressed him on the well-known scam that movers pull where they won’t unload your stuff without an extra cash payment. He assured me that if they ever tried to pull such a scam, he would just take the money out of their retainer. I also asked Roger who exactly would be moving us. He explained that Alliance was not a mover, just a broker/router. They would find the mover for us. He told me their movers are all reputable and gave me the name of the mover we’d use. After repeatedly assuring me that he would be available to help on moving day, I was persuaded and we were all set to move. They gave us a primary date of February 7th, with the 8th as a backup date, and told us they would call to confirm at least 24-48 hours before the move. On the 2nd, they confirmed that they would schedule us for the 8th. The person who called us from Alliance was named Katie, and we asked her who exactly the moving company was, and she was being dodgy about it and would not tell us. I had to contact Roger to find out that it would be Rhino Relocation doing the actual move. The 7th came and we did not hear anything from the mover so we attempted to contact Alliance. They dismissed our concerns and said the mover wouldn’t be calling us today. With one day before the move, and never having heard from the mover even once, we were seriously doubting the move would even happen. I called Roger, and he said he would get back to me. That was the last time I ever heard from him. On the morning of the 8th, we were all ready to go, with our apartment partially packed up. It was then that we got the dreaded call: A couple of hours before the movers were scheduled to arrive, Alliance’s customer support told us that the mover was five hours away from us with a broken truck. We were also informed that he was not with Rhino Relocation as we had previously been told. They asked us if we could reschedule and we were unable to. We could not delay our move at all. Our apartment was partially in boxes, and we needed to move and be back at work remotely within a couple of days. There was no wiggle room. I was flabbergasted that they would tell us that the mover was five hours away, only two hours before the move. We had no choice, but to let them know we’d move ourselves. During the conversation, the woman on the phone was extremely unhelpful, arrogant and entitled. I asked her why we were only told two hours before the move, that the mover was five hours away? She said that was just what they told her, and that she “didn’t want to have this conversation right now”. That was hands down, the absolute worst attitude I have ever heard from a customer service representative in my life, particularly one that had $2,000 of my money. I repeatedly tried calling Roger to see if he could help us, perhaps by finding an alternate mover. Sadly, he was nowhere to be found. His earlier assurance of always being available by cell phone on moving day was nothing but a lie. He completely abandoned us after he had our money. We frantically searched online to find a truck and two movers to help us. We thankfully were able to find such, and were packed and on the road much later that night. We arrived at a hotel in Truckee at almost midnight. I realized I had gotten a text at around 11PM from the driver with the broken truck, telling me his truck was fixed and asking if I was ready for the move the next morning. I informed him we were moving ourselves. I find it appalling that Alliance’s customer service is so poorly run that they did not even bother to relay my message to him. They never actually told him I was moving myself. After getting moved in and situated in our new place, I tried calling Alliance’s customer support numerous times. I talked to Kevin, his manager Hannah (who is now gone) and others. My aim was to get my $2,000 deposit back since they did not perform the service as agreed upon. During every single call, they gave me the runaround. Sometimes they would tell me to email billing, which I did, and never received a reply. Sometimes they told me they would call me back, but never did. Sometimes they said they were unsure, but would talk with their manager about it. After 10 or more calls, they eventually came clean and claimed that the deposit was given to the mover, and they don’t have it. They told me I’d need to contact this random guy with a broken truck and try to get the $2,000 out of him. Did you see the bait and switch there? When you’re giving the $2,000, you send it to Alliance. When you’re trying to get it back, you have to track down the mover. In the end, it’s safe to say Alliance is a shady company, and Roger Stein is an untrustworthy person. He assured me he’d be available, and he wasn’t. They told us the mover would contact us, and they didn’t. They kept our deposit without actually moving us. Bluntly put, we were scammed, and you are likely to be as well.

Using this company was the worst mistake I've ever made. It ended up costing more than twice as much as the Contract stated. The actual movers when they had all my things loaded in the truck, demanded $8000 in cash only and would not accept any other form of payment. My Bank people were appalled at the rudeness of them. I had no choice but to get the cash and pay them and then hope my furniture would arrive at its destination. It did arrive, the television was broken and a few other items were as well. These were the movers from hell and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

Where do i start? They quoted us one price then when they called to do inventory three days before our move all of the sudden the price sky rocketed. Kelli told me when they picked up our items they would show us how much space we have reserved and then let us know how much space we used and we would only have to pay for the space we used. That was a lie. ALL of our boxes came damaged and i have to file a claim with the third party they contracted out to do our move. They were rude on delivery. I really had high hopes for this company due to all the good reviews i read online but i completely regret using them. BEWARE THEY WILL LIE TO YOU AND UPCHARGE YOU LAST MINUTE SO YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO USE THEM. Kelli was the agent i spoke to.

I had a great experience with them. I put in a quote request and spoke to Roger, he gave me a reasonable price and explained to me not to fall for lower priced quotes. The main concern was my price increasing after the movers loaded the truck which was a common complaint amongst various moving companies.
