Had a three man crew that first thing took care of protecting floors and walls the went to work wrapping and preparing all furniture before moving. They moved a large, heavy antique piano with care, having to move down several stairs from our front porch. Also brought heavy freezer and Coke Machine up from basement and down porch steps as well.. Our Pod was packed from floor to ceiling tightly and securely. I am very pleased with the work done and definitely would recommend and use their services again.”

Matt and Gary came to help us move and we could not be more grateful for the excellent service they provided. They were quick yet thorough, paying attention to delicate items and the pristine conditions of our new home. They made sure to lay down blankets and be careful of the floors, be cautious of items hitting the walls, and put each item just where we asked. I've moved quite a few times in the past few years and I've never seen better movers than Matt and Gary. Plus, Alhood Van Lines was such an easy company to work with, from booking to arrival and payment. Plus my boyfriend is a veteran so we got a discount for using them! First off we were told they would be there at 9am on the 9/5 they did not show up we called and called only to get ahold of someone at 11am saying that was a window but not specifing what our window was then being told they would arrive 11am-1pm at about 2pm we get ahold of them again saying it would be closer to 4pm. They finally show up at 4:30 pm with one completely new guy who had no experience and the experienced gentlemen smelling of pot but we were out of time and options for movers as I had been reaching out to other companies while we waited for this one no one could do it last minute. Meanwhile I am fresh out of Chemo treatment moving a dresser with the experienced guy because the newbies arms got tired...I digress They stayed until about 830pm packing us when Reinforcements arrive.. that was a mistake. They don't tell you they are going to charge you for those reinforcements. Mind you I did not get any paperwork to sign yet regarding policy and procedures as well as insurance. Then the following day they were supposed to move us but they had a truck break down and an injury as well as us not being fully packed. However I had one set of close and none of my belongings. In their defense our closing was pushed a day due to buyer issues so we did have time to get the rest of our stuff. They spent all of 9/7 holding our things hostage saying they are not bringing it until Sunday my wife had enough medication until Friday so that would not work then they told us that they will not deliver until they are paid because they forgot to get paperwork signed. At which point I just told them deliver the stuff into my garage and I will pay you and we can part ways. It wasn't until 1030pm at night that they were able to get over and drop stuff off so kudos to them for working late but the multiple phone calls and insults they told us over the phone negates that. I signed their paper in a dimly lit area and under severe duress just to get my things back. I have debated charging back the credit card but I will take this as an important lesson learned. All my friends, family, Co-workers and Realtors I work with will know the horror we had suffered working with this company. One more thing I did try to contact the owner Peter but have not been followed up with and the person he left in charge was the one I was dealing with flinging insults and ignoring phone calls. Now they may feel like pointing out all the other stellar reviews great not everyone has a smooth move I will just make sure all my Realtor co workers at Keller Williams, clients, co workers at Comcast as well as my cancer treatment friends know to avoid and find a different company.”

We scheduled our move quite a bit in advance. Everyone was VERY helpful, and their prices beat anyone else's. I received helpful e-mails in advance and followed all their instructions. We packed all our own boxes. The day the truck loaders arrived, they called us 30 minutes in advance, and were right on time. We had Anthony, Nemo and Rod, and they were wonderful. We had them scheduled for 4 hours, but they got right to work and were done in about 3 hours. Very professional, courteous, careful with our goods, kind to our dog and cat. Did a bang up job. Moving is NEVER fun, but these guys made it so stress free. I would HIGHLY recommend this company and would use them again if the need arises. Ask for Anthony, Nemo and Rod. Thank you guys!!!”

In a world of options, please exercise your opportunity to use someone else. This was the most unprofessional encounters I've ever experienced with movers. My mother is a senior, with back and knee issues. She informed the scheduler that she has a treadmill that needs disassembling and she was told that the movers have tools to help with anything needing disassembling, it was a lie! So we had to leave that behind at the house. In addition the "movers" had boxes that were packed laying around in the front yard instead of the truck, and when the movers finally moved her belongings 8hours later, they damaged her home. Trying to get this sorted with the owner has been a nightmare. He is abrasive and unreasonable. Please just keep searching, do not use this company. Update: So, when I'm wrong, I'm wrong and I own up too it! The owner, and I did have some exchange of words, but that was because of miss communications. Mostly due to my mother and I were not receiving his messages that he stated he had left, because he had called the house phone. Although we do have some damage from the move, I'm confident that it'll be addressed in a timely and professional manner.”

This moving company was horrible. If I could give it a negative rating I would. They were extremely unprofessional, damaged several items, tried to conceal some of the damage. They did not fairly or adequately compensate for the damage and attempted to steal one of the items on their way out. There was no remorse and I was basically told my damage wasn't significant. Two of the items were over 100 years old.”

Let me start by saying that these are not professional movers. I mean, they do it for a living and so, therefore, I suppose they are technically "professional" movers but in the same kind of way that I am a "chef" when I make scrambled eggs for my girlfriend. Anyone eating my patented (pending) scrambled eggs with cheese, avocado, onions, and just a dash of Old Bay (for those of you from Denver, let me explain what Old Bay is--Imagine if salt and a crab had relations of a sexual nature. That's Old Bay, and it's spectacular) would say that it is great! But they would also know that I probably wasn't trained at the French culinary school, Le Cordon Bleu under the tutelage of Bartolomeo Scappi...and not just because he died over 400 years ago and that's clearly an Italian name so why would he be teaching in France? The point is, my scrambled eggs are delicious and you'll be happy with them but you could probably pay more money to get slightly better scrambled eggs from a restaurant. What I am trying to say is that--much like my scrambled eggs--EZ Moves/Alhood Van Lines was fantastic and I am very happy with them. However, if I were rich enough to own fancy fragile things like faberge eggs or even just those brown eggs you see at Whole Foods, I would probably pay the extra money for a fancier moving company. But I own mostly Ikea-type things that I don't really care too much about. ***Overall, this company was a pleasure to work with. Peter, the man in charge of the operation, was very transparent and had great communication. My two workers, Logan and Curtis, showed up on time, had a great attitude, and worked their butts off to get me moved into my new apt. With just a few dollies, a small van, and a positive can-do attitude, they moved all my stuff from the moving truck to my apt within 2 hours. I am 100% satisfied and happy with this company. And I would 100% use them again.”

When my vehicle wouldn't start (battery died) one of the movers offered to bring us jumper cables. Then they gladly jumped our vehicle with their truck. My husband and I used them for a move from Aurora (80016) to Green Valley Ranch (80246) and we had a terrible experience with this company. I cant even go into the details of all that went wrong. And now after all that I'm unpacking and finding just how bad and untrained they are. I posted pics. They even damaged my house when they moved me in my new place. I have tried calling and emailing but they will not answer my calls it emails. Even had to call the cops because they were holding our items hostage in storage until they got paid in full before they completed the job. The owner was out of town so I had to deal with a very rude employee. And now the owner is suggesting this is a bogus review. Which it is not. Stay away.
