Affordable Moving moved our belongs well enough, but make sure to lock up your valuables! We had an Ipad2 on a shelf when they arrived, and an hour later it was missing. Of course, the movers and now the owner deny any involvement, even though we keep getting pictures on our Icloud photo stream (three devices linked: both of our phones and the ipad, the phones both still in our possession) of a family we don't know posing in front of our Ipad. My netflix account tells me that they are watching movies on my Ipad as well. The owner has been less than helpful. He avoids any ownership of the problem and basically tells us to file a police report and see what happens. I am filing a BBB claim against Affordable Moving. They are not endorsed by BBB. I wish I had done more research and paid a bit more for a reputable company. Don't hire them, and if you do, don't let either mover out of your sight at any point in the move.”

Do not use this company! We had them scheduled between 3-4pm on a Saturday to move into our new home. We spent the entire day boxing everything up and taking everything down. At 330 they called and said they couldn't make it until 430pm. At 430 they called and said they couldn't make it at all and don't work on Sundays and could fit us in on a Tuesday afternoon....I took the night off from work which cost me 200-300 dollars In wages. Now me and my pregnant wife were forced to stay In a hotel because our current living situation. Who does business this way? Completely unacceptable.”

Worst move ever. Don't let them pack anything. Things were packed carelessly and sloppily. The boxes had a mixture of things rather than categorically. ie. wood clamps with living room lamps. The estimate was a joke. Had to spend twice as much to make sure I got all my things. This was a long distance move so negotiating was not an option. Many things were cracked, crushed or mishandled. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy.”

It's been 4 months since the move and I was trying to avoid leaving a poor-medium review. What changed my mind is that while looking at furniture still in the garage, my hubs discovered his antique desk broken-the final straw. I must say the they were very flexible with our move and very nice. Our escrow kept getting changed and they were very accommodating. We also have a very heavy piece of furniture that took all 4 guys to move and they did a terrific job with that one piece. However, almost every other piece of furniture, including a leather headboard, has some type of damage. Scratches, dents, broken pieces, etc. My hubs said it was like watching gorillas pack. If you choose to use these guys, word of advice: make sure to wrap or extra protect any wood and leather pieces yourself. Also, get a written quote, they were almost double what we expected. Good luck. p.s. there is another company that uses this same name, so it could be possible this might not be the same one we used (just want that out there).”

Called and they didn't return my phone call to try and get the box back to the right person. They took furniture apart, legs off, etc but then lost the legs. Had no real system to keep the pieces of furniture together. It also ended up costing me $700 more than quoted.”
