This moving company was founded by Jim Hensleigh and Dan Gross in 1990. Both had started in the moving business in the early 1970’s. Tyson Heineke bought the business in 2016 from Jim. They continue to be a family run business that takes pride in helping every client since they opened in 1990. Unlike many moving companies, the AMS team is full-time. This teamwork results in better customer service and a more efficient move for you or your company.

Well to start with when we did our initial walk-through to see what needed to be moved; since I had already packed and labeled everything, they told me it was going to be a quick easy move. And since they charge by the hour, I of course was happy to hear this; instead it took them eight hours with three guys. And one of those guys was chatting away with anyone who would listen. The apartment I was moving into only allowed 2 1/2 hours for a move-in and when I indicated that they said there was no way it could be done and they had never heard of anything like this before...of course they had no choice and were finished in 2 1/2 hours. Not all of my furniture came out unscathed, they bent a leg on a table cracked a lamp, dopped a dresser and were happy to charge me almost $2000. I'm extremely disappointed in this company!”

Favorable: - Showed up 10 minutes early. - Very helpful with loading mattress and box spring onto a friends truck. - Tyson was very easy to reach and examined my apartment before moving. Unfavorable: - I have a white/grey cloth couch and they didn't wrap it before moving. One of the movers took the cushions off, put them on the floor, then laid on top of them to get all 4 large cushions in one trip. I will have to shampoo the couch to get the dark spots out. - Stopped for gas on the way to the destination. - Talked quite a bit instead of moving. I don't mind conversation, except when the time clock is running. - Had kind of a bossy attitude. - Tyson told me beforehand that they don't schedule more than one move in a day, to which the movers told me he had lied and they do more than one move often. Didn't effect my move, but I'm not one to be lied to. - Called Tyson to relay the bad news that our unit got moved from level 3 to level 5. He did not relay this to the movers before their arrival. I love supporting small businesses, but most likely won't be using Affiliated again.”

Coming off of a really bad moving experience I have to say I was super relieved that this move went super smooth. We were estimated 12-13 hours for the whole move which included travel time but were given tips to reduced that time. We took advantage of this tips and the whole move only ended up taking about 6 hours. The team wrapped and took care of the items we needed, placed items where we asked them to, and were personable without wasting time. Tyson was great at communicating and was on top it from our first phone conversation. I highly recommend this moving company.
