The owner came over first to give me an estimate and was professional and courteous. Three men arrived and immediately began to wrap all of my furniture to protect it from damage. I appreciated that he called the day before the move just to confirm. On the day of my move, Anthony called me to say they were on their way. Great communication! I called Act of Class Moving & Storage to check if they had availability, for this past Sunday. Although, the move was within the same week they were able to add me to their schedule. Additionally, the company offers a confirmation call. I received a confirmation call on Friday, two days before the move, from their gracious Assistant, Amanda. Amanda confirmed the addresses of the locations and explained the movers will arrive at 8:30am on Sunday. Robert and Chris were my movers on Sunday, they were experienced and professional. Their friendliness was a breath of fresh air. Even though, they had two stops to make to pick up my furniture, they were punctual. The second stop was on the 2nd floor and the movers were more than capable of placing the furniture safely in their dolly and moving it down two flights of stairs. Everyone knows that moving can be stressful, but I was so impressed of how smoothly the move went and how effective and skillful the movers were. All the furniture arrived in one piece, and they placed the smaller items in their designated areas. I also appreciate how serviceable and kind they both were, by helping assemble a piece of furniture and assisting me by carrying an item that I was carrying from my car. I highly recommend Act of Class Moving & Storage, for your next move. I do not doubt that you will have a positive experience and a lasting impression, just as I did.”

The first move from Condo to storage went okay. The move from storage to new home was a living nightmare for months. When the movers left, they put a broken globe from my floor lamp on a shelf in the garage, not mentioning what happened to it. We had to go back to Tennessee, shortly after. I told Phil about the lamp and he asked if the lamp was damaged anywhere else and I told him it was behind a lot of boxes in the garage which we had not unpacked yet. We returned and sent Phil pics of the scrapes on the pole that weren't there before and he said he'd take care of it. I told him I had found one for $150.00 and he said he'd get back with me. He didn't and after two weeks, I called to see what was going on. He said someone would be calling me. I thought, calling me? To fix the lamp? I thought $150.00 was reasonable for a new one. Apparently, too cheap to replace it. The main issue was our white sectional leather sofa with 3 recliners, purchased from Matter Brothers 4 years ago. I sat on my sofa the night they delivered to us. I looked down and noticed blue spots on the leather. Continued checking it out and they were all over the sofa. The sofa had been wrapped in navy quilt like covering. My husband went to Lowe's that night to get leather cleaner but it did nothing. I told Phillip about it and he told me he didn't have insurance to cover it, other than $500? It seems like he could pay so much on the dollar. He sent someone to fix it and they said they could not fix it. I kept getting excuses from him, one being the storage company had a policy and might could pay up to $2000. Again, didn't hear back from him so I called. This is what he said: the storage unit told him that my storage unit was the only one struck by lightning and the leather probably started sweating, causing the problem. I never did hear anything else about the storage unit willing to pay. So, Phillip makes an appointment with the Leather Medic. He states that this happens during the tanning process of the leather, so it's a manufacture defect. Why would it take 4 years? I took the report to Matter Brothers and they've never heard anything like this before. My experience with Phillip caused me 5 months of stress during which I had a major surgery in August from which I'm still recovering. So,we sit on the sofa with all the blue spots surrounding us. Only had a years warranty, and we've had it four. So we have a damaged lamp and damaged sofa. I would never recommend Act of Class Movers to anyone. Phillip's attention in this manner was anything but Class.”

Moved a family member of mine... A jewelry box with personal momentos from her children's baptism and medals have "disappeared" after their move. No phone call returned, no contact...they even removed their ENTIRE Facebook page after she wrote a review. Don't walk, RUN away from doing any business with this shady, underhanded company...that apparently employs shady, underhanded people trusted with your most valuable possessions. Complete and utter garbage. They should be ashamed of their conduct and they handled this. I'm hoping the authorities follow through with the formal complaint filed.”

Honest review here. Dan came out and gave us a quote and was by far the most reasonable. The crew (4 to pack 3 to unpack) showed up promptly on both the day of the move and on the next day for delivery and unpacking. The crew was very courteous and very hard working. We had a couple of difficult items to move; one being a treadmill which we were assured that they would be able to move. Not so much. They didn't have the knowledge to move it, didn't remove the doors on the room and consequently they put a small hole in the wall and tore the door. The walk through from our buyers was that night and they damage was noticed. They did get our home and garage completely moved out that day as needed and the Owner did call to apologize and offer to pay for damage and I told him that the issue had to be taken up with new owners. The day of delivery and unpacking went well, but they did damage an expensive table lamp and put a small dent in our wicker dining room chair. My husband was able to repair the lamp. Except for the incidents mentioned all in all things went well and they got us moved in a timely, professional manner. My only suggestion would be for the crew to actually listen to their foreman/leader of the crew. He was excellent with great people skills and by far the most professional. We wound up tipping the crew for their hard work and long hours and working around the afternoon rains. It was an extremely hectic two days for us and they got us moved and unpacked.”

I scheduled my movers nearly 2 months before my move. The day of there was a "scheduling issue" and the movers didn't show up until 2.5 hours later. I ended up having to get a hotel room for the night because I wasn't able to get the keys to my new place in time before they closed for the day. Although the two guys who moved my belongings were nice and fast about loading my truck, 2 pieces of furniture and 2 irreplaceable items were damaged. When I called to report the issue, I was told because it wasn't their truck, they weren't liable for the damage. Unacceptable. Not only were they late and didn't compensate me for that, they won't even compensate me for the items I lost. Will not use them again.”

I suppose my two bedroom / two bathroom apartment was not big enough to deserve this company's business. (my guess because from our first conversation he was mentioning the size of homes he had been moving) At first, Phil seemed very pleasant and responsive leading us to set up time for him to come give me a guaranteed quote. The day came and he called saying he was running early for the day so I made accommodations in my busy schedule for him to come at an earlier time. At the end of the quick meeting he informed me he would have a quote sent to me by end of day... time came and nothing. The next morning(today), I called and he said he was working on my quote and it would be emailed to me shortly... still nothing. Later in the afternoon, I emailed him asking for a status on the quote and still have yet to receive a reply. I also called about an hour ago and left a message , you guessed it..no response. This has been a huge inconvenience and disappointment as I read so many good reviews and he knows I am working on a limited time, which he informed would be no problem at all. If you didn't want my business for whatever reason, you easily could've notified me instead of me depending on you. update after phill comment: you uploaded this quote on yelp but never to my email. you have also shared my personal information (phone number, email and address) on a public forum . ridiculous.”
