Update - Weeks after this awful move, I continue to find that items are missing and the cost of replacement only adds to the frustration and annoyance. Ace's response is basically there is nothing they can do. My fault for not inventorying each and every box that came off the truck; for not having pictures of the contents of each box. Previous review - Not at all happy with Ace. I contracted with Ace because of their reviews. I was adamant that I wanted their specific personnel to do the move and they agreed. However, several days before the move, I was informed the movers were McLaughlin Van Lines from New Hampshire - a company I knew nothing about. The mover was courteous, but he informed me he was NOT responsible for any damage that might occur to my belongings. Virtually the first item he touched he ripped off the knobs to an antique dresser. His sole concern was to pack the trailer as tight as possible, as a result he removed the feet from every piece of furniture, he disassembled whatever he could and jammed his truck tight. Upon delivery, virtually every piece of furniture and our bikes were scratched, in addition several boxes were lost/not delivered, and the contents of one box was entirely broken. Moving is very stressful and Ace fulfilled my fears and only added to the stress. I would not recommend Ace or McLaughlin.”
