I made reservation with them for my move 10 days ahead of time and explained that there is elevator in the building but I have a couch that won't fit and needs to be taken down through the stairs. I'm on the fifth floor. I just didn't want them to tell me no on the day of the move. Four days before my move I sent another email to confirm everything with no answer. So I sent another email two days before the move, that's when they told me that we are not a good fit, won't do stairs and look for another company. Moving is already very stressful and this was an extra load, trying to find moving company a day before. Very unprofessional.”

I recently moved from North Carolina to Columbus (about a 7 hr trip). The administrative person I dealt with every day was courteous, but took a long time to respond to emails, and even then many times I had to call and inquire when information I had requested wasn't relayed back to me via email or phone. I requested multiple times for the movers to call me the day they arrived in Durham so we could set up a time for them to come load the next day, and they never called. I had to call the office in Columbus the day of the move asking where anyone was. They didn't arrive til after 10 am when I had requested a first-thing start. The movers took well over 5 hours to load a 2 bedroom apartment (I've used movers 3 other times, and each time it was able to get done in under 2 hours with the same amount of people). When they arrived in Columbus, again the day they were supposed to unload, they didn't call me until they were an hour late to say they were 3 hours behind due to an emergent job (even though I had scheduled to be using their services for this day about 2 months in advance). They nicked 2 of my walls, scratched another, and put a large gouge in my entertainment center. They were apologetic, and gave me the phone number of someone who was supposed to either repair or replace my damaged furniture. That person never returned my phone call, and again I had to wait at least a week to get in contact with the correct person to remedy the problem. Finally someone came to my house to assess the damage, and stated they would be back in 3 days to pick up the furniture to repair it. Two full weeks went by, and I had to call this company, Big Darby Restorations, to inquire about the status of these repairs. They were rude, and blamed the moving company for the delay. These movers were recommended by my job as one of their preferred companies, but I definitely would not use them again or recommend them to anyone.”

For the first time in my life I was ghosted; surprisingly by a moving company. I had been working with Todd Wilson on our laboratory relocation. At first, things seemed good, they were very responsive, giving us a quote and helping answer the myriad of questions that I had. However, as the time moved closer to set firm packing and moving dates, he stopped returning my phone calls and emails. I tried to reach out to others at Accelerated, but I was never able to get a reply. If they weren't interested in our business, they could have simply stated that. Highly unprofessional and outright bizarre.”
