“ I tried to use this website because i thought it was a auto transport company.. they are not. What happens is they take your information and sell it to at least 20 different people for each person that goes online. If you care about keeping your privacy and sanity do not , i repeat do not fill out their online form or call them with any of your details. Your phone will go berserk with calls and calls and a bunch of texts day after day even at night. I was going crazy. I can't turn off my phone, i have children. I called to complain and they referred me to the terms and conditions web page and were quite rude and scoffed at me. The page doesn't mention anything about selling your name and address. Just that you can't copy their website. I called the FMSCA and they have no record of them but since they don't ship cars and since they just sell the information they will not do anything about it because it's like their an advertising agency. But they should say that. But they will not because who would fill it out if they knew the outcome. The point is to not so you don't fact check. My worry is strangers have my address and phone number. I even wrote to google to complain about their ad showing up every time. I just don't understand how this can exist. I am afraid of what these strangers will do with my details. As someone who is a single mother, that is very scary. Some of the people that called were from my same area code.”

They took 24 hours to respond to my call and immediately pawned me off to a very disorganized dumpster fire of a transport company called carlos shipping. They sent me a unofficial quote and when I called to set up shipping and get more information they failed to respond to my emails and phone calls as if I was trying to collect money from them, unbelievably bad customer service. I was satisfied with the attitude of the person and the price that the firm appointed. But before that happened, I had to talk to a pretty rude manager. Of course, I tried not to stir up the conflict, but I was pretty angry. I can say that I was satisfied with the quality of the service (directly by the towing itself), but I was not satisfied with how they answer the calls, would not tolerate such an attitude again. “ Their website is pretty easy to navigate, and its not that hard to get someone on the phone as long as you don't mind waiting on hold. Most recently, we needed a shipment to occur after 3pm, so we booked on A-1 Auto Transport using a time window described as "earliest pickup time - 3pm". After paying in full on A-1 Auto Transport, the carrier stated it would be a $60 to pickup during this window. A-1 Auto Transport then refused to pay this fee, stating "nothing in our website is a guarantee". Still if you need help finding a carrier, A-1 Auto Transport is an option. Just remember, "nothing on their website is a guarantee" and you may be later charged fees by the carriers.”

“ I've used A-1 Auto Transport before with great success. The two most recent postings showed opportunities for improvement. On both listing, drivers accepted the bid and then backed out. This is a hassle. On the most recent shipment, the bid was accepted by a broker who hired a driver. The broker tried to charge more than the contracted price. Turned into a very unpleasant situation despite by documentation/email showing the correct price. I was held hostage. Maybe I missed it but I didn't see a notation where I was dealing with a broker. It just adds another layer of people and complexity. Finally, when a bid is accepted, the dropped you end of with full charges, partial credits, partial charges, broker fees, driver fees etc. Turns into one hell of a mess and difficult to know if you ultimately paid the right price.”

Not one quote was from A-1. Wish we would have read the Yelp reviews before completing their form. Fill out the firm and it says you'll get "a" quote, not multiple quotes. “ This company is nothing more than a broker, selling my information to other carriers. I filled out an online form and immediately began to get calls, texts and email, none of which were from A-1. So far, we've received "offers" from at least 10 firms, some of which have emailed and/or called more than 5 times. This is all since 3/28/19, 2 days ago! I have no issue with brokers who have made arrangements on our behalf in the past but this is nothing more than a "referral churning" company. Not a single reach out from them, just a deluge of calls, most of which are firms that get crappy reviews. I'd be surprised if A-1 owns or ever owned a single vehicle. I've blocked the numbers in the texts and and calls and spammed the emailers. Look at the screenshot. These guys at least were honest about getting the info from A-1 and actually have an opt out link. I guess they get a lot of flack for being among the horde of companies buying info from A-1. Big mistake on my part. I've learned a lesson.”
