My fiancee and I moved from Austin to Houston at the beginning of this month after graduating college. We were expecting to have a smooth and carefree pack and move after looking over the reviews online. However, we had an extremely unsatisfactory experience with our moving crew, moving agent, and moving experience. PRIOR TO OUR MOVE, we explicitly asked the agent about their pricing for their "Trip Charge" and stated we were confused about what this trip charge deposit applied to. The agent briskly stated that "the deposit applied to both the packing and the move" and did not provide further clarification. Little did we know that the hourly rate would be applied to the time it took the movers to drive from Austin to Houston resulting in an additional $500. We also were not given the ability to choose the crew we wanted during our planning with our agent. DURING OUR MOVE, the team arrived 25 minutes late and didn't start until more than minutes 30 after the quoted time. After the crew evaluated our small 700 square foot apartment for packing, they stated that they should be able to pack it in about an hour. The packing and moving in Austin took 4 hours! This resulted in additional hourly rate fees that should not have been necessary. Diligence was not taken with our items, crew chemistry was caustic, items were nonsensically packed. This move took place during COVID and the moving company assured us that their movers took precautions and care to hygiene to prevent the spread of the virus. However, our crew did not wear any masks or gloves while working. They even packed a dead roach in our turkey baking pan and didn't remove it placing it right underneath our dining plates and cutlery in the box. When the crew arrived in Austin, they did not inspect the new apartment and did not have me sign an inspection document. They ended up scratching our hardwood floors and denting and scratching our front door which had been newly painted by the landlord. We came to find out at the very end about the hourly rate leaving us to pay $1961 for moving our small 700 sq. ft. apartment with a hidden maximum rate for 12 hours of moving being a sly $1980 per TxDOT law. AFTER THEY LEFT, we came to find out that they left about two boxes worth of items from multiple cabinets in our Austin apartment kitchen. They had never even packed them after they packed bits and pieces of our kitchen and damaged plates and bowls. They told us we would not be compensated for the missing items and told us to file a police report. Among a multitude of other damages and missing goods, an example of their negligence is how they decided it was best to fold a leather desk mat rather than roll it up like a rug resulting in irrepairable creases. We were reached out to by 3 Men Movers to try and reach a compensation for the damages but they refused to offer compensation for the poor experience and missing items. They offered a low $300 compensation for the over $2100 small and short mover from Austin to Houston. We petitioned to request additional compensation for damages to the unit, to which we received the response that the movers said those were pre-existing damages (even though they didn't mark them down as pre-existing) and they held no liability. We decided to unnecessarily spend even more of our time working with the landlord to receive an invoice for repairs for the damages because 3 Men Movers DECIDED TO RESCIND ALL COMPENSATION offers until they receive an invoice for repairs that they will inevitably decline. This whole experience has left us with a sour taste of this company, an unnecessary $2100 short as 2020 graduates during COVID, dozens of missing items, damages to our goods and property, and no agreeable resolution nor compensation. This was not what we were expecting from 3 Men Movers and would have preferred to have chosen any other moving company.”

Andres Delgado and his crew took care of our 2 bedroom apartment today and moved everything into a storage unit for us! They were efficient, professional, and very careful with our belongings. We have an incredibly (emphasis on incredibly) heavy RH dresser and they were able to handle that with care, along with my husband’s beloved keyboard, work computer screens, amps/other guitar equipment, 150+ year old mirror, peloton bike, large flatscreen TV and all of the other random stuff we had crammed into our place. I would turn around and another room would be empty. Did I mention I am into very large, heavy (got to be authentic, right?) furniture and I also lived in a three story town home? Not a problem for these guys. They could eyeball the size/weight of my 300 pound armoire and tell how many times they needed to turn it to get down my windy stairs. And they did, quickly. Booked my move by talking to Joe on June 23, 2020. The only available time frame was Monday June 29th at 1pm. I thought it was odd that an afternoon time slot for moving was possible. I booked and waited till 2pm on the 29th and called 3 Men Movers "Customer Service". Was told that the crew was still on another move and would be at my house before too long. Was told by Joe to call if the crew hadn't shown up by 1:30 and I dutifully did. Customer service told me that Joe was speaking out of turn when he made that comment. Anyway, called back at 3:15pm and again was assured that the moving crew would be at my house shortly. By 4:30, I knew that I had been given lip service instead of customer service and that no one would show up. Knowing that if a crew had been working since the early morning, they would be in no shape to take on another job. In Houston's heat that would be impossible and the crews would be exhausted and would not be able to perform. Never heard back from 3 Men "customer service" nor the crew lead that was supposed to have called. took a day off work to get this done and I just lost a whole day for nothing! Thanks 2-1/2 Men!! Found another mover that promised next day service.”

Because the facts will stand clear that your workers were not wearing PPE in relationship to your company policy and the city of Houston Covid 19 city guidelines. But you're after the fact concern does not help me. The harm has been done and we had to pay for this kind of service. Its still unacceptable and hurts to know that people put faith, time and hard-earned money into believing your company would deliver a good service, and you did not. The movers did not wear face covering, or gloves during the move. This is a direct conflict with the order outlined by Judge Linda Hidalgo. It's a shame they sent a lazy crew, with the worst "Can't Do" attitude, all they were looking for was a reason not to work this move. The movers (Gonzy and crew) showed up when they told me they would, moved my one bedroom stuff from a highrise to a 3-floor townhouse all under 2 hours. They were fast and efficient and didn't damage anything. Rate was $140/day with 2 hour minimum during weekday. There was also $81 trip fee for moving 3 blocks between my 2 residences. After waiting several weeks looking for movers , I decided to use 3 men movers . They seem like they had the fairest rate. 125 flat fee . 150 for Tuesday and Wednesday was the cheapest rate. Monday and Thursday is a $10 more. And weekends are the most expensive. They had the most positive reviews so I decided to give them a try. After asking for a quote online, they responding within a couple of hours. They gave me a detailed breakdown of the cost. The day of the move was supposed to be around 2pm. Around 2pm, they canceled my move because their driver was sick. I was planning this for several weeks already and moved all my furniture out the rooms and moved and unplugged all the appliances. But , they could of called me earlier but decided to let me know the last minute. Which was frustrating for me and my family since we planned this day for awhile and confirmed several days ahead. The driver told me they can schedule the move another day. There was no way I could take another day off. I had call the office several times . After an hour of waiting , the moving concierge told me some good news . She gave me the news I was waiting for , she told me another driver is on the way. Yeah!!!!! The moving team was lead by Jose and his crew. I was skeptical at first because I have not used movers in 15 years. . After hours of bubble wrapping my furniture, wrapping the furniture with blankets and bringing my furniture. They were done . Jose and his crew did a great job. They moved at an efficient but careful pace. At the end my charge was reasonable and the move was good. It was actually more than I expected. I will definitely use them again. Hopefully , I can use Jose and his crew next time.”
